This place was great! I liked the vibes it gave. Amazing customer service, very friendly. I would definitely stop by again when in the area. Highly recommend. I loved my bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. Cold brew was on point!

Cavity recommend enough! Sometimes you go to a coffee shop that is aesthetically pleasing, but the quality suffers, sometimes the atmosphere is trendy AND the quality is there but you have to deal with pretentious or rude baristas, rarely is the atmosphere immaculate with high quality coffee and friendly, welcoming baristas; so happy Grindhouse falls into this last category! The environment is trendy and hip, the food and coffee quality is excellent and the staff are so welcoming and kind. Highly, highly recommend this place!

I have to start off by saying that upon arrival to this coffee shop I instantly noticed the awesome murals and the nice display of skate boards on the wall. This was my first time visiting this place but not the first time trying their Chi tea Latte. I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised that the Chi tea latte tasted the exact same way that it did the first time I tasted it. My mom found this Jewel. It would be nice to have a small couch or comfortable seating inside but, I understand that due to Covid-19 it is not possible at this time. I recommend this place. #isupportsmallbusinesses

Great local coffee shop in a tough area to find quality coffee. They made me a latte that was absolutely perfect! The prices are a bit lower than other places. Parking in the front is typically easy to find, with parking meters that are not expensive. Only cost me 50 cents to park.

I Ordered 2x Light Iced Matcha 🍵 & Waited about 15 -20 minutes with no line of people ahead of me. Received a cup full of pure milk & ice cubes with some sort of vanilla taste. I definitely will not be back.

The wait for avocado toast was over 20 minutes. It was not crowded, no one in line. I thought it was taking a long time to cook an egg but guess what? No egg. Besides toasting the bread what could take so long? My husband had an apple muffin that was mediocre. We won’t go back

I really like this spot. It’s quaint, aesthetically quirky, and the staff is exceptional. It’s smack dab in the middle of Third Avenue, making it a great stop on your way to other events, or a nice place to chill for a while and work or chat with friends. The coffee here is so good. Super flavorful, perfectly acerbic, has a great finish. I especially like their lattes. Grindhouse is a must-try when you’re hanging out in Chula Vista!

I ordered a 20oz cold brew without ice. The lady tells me that it will be roughly half full of coffee. I asked why? She said that’s just the way it is. I said the menus states “cold brew 20oz”. So why state that if you can’t get 20oz of cold brew. So dang stupid. Never seen this before. So whatever you order without ice, you can’t get what the menu says you will get. Btw. The coffee is cold, ice isn’t needed

Your food is really good but organization is horrible. I called on Sunday, was put on hold for 15 minutes, no answered. When I arrived the items I wanted to order weren’t available. I drived all the way down to CV for nothing. I’m calling again today, 6 times…no answer. You should hire one more person. I mean, if the barista is the cashier at the same time of course she/he won’t be able to take calls. You’re just keeping customers away. This is why small businesses fail.

Great coffee and even better place to relax and hang out. The sweet cream cold brew is fantastic, great coffee taste with a bit of sweetness. I can’t wait to come back and try other drinks along with the food.

I stopped in for a coffee and chose a iced dirty chai. It's very good and the service was good as well. I love how they have a post it coffee board, very cool.

This is my favorite coffee spot hands down. The owner is cool and really provides great service. Best item on the menu? The vanilla sweet cream cold brew! You will not be disappointed.

Went yesterday with a friend. They weren't super busy but took over 15 minutes to get our drinks. (We check based off the time we got our text message for the point system.) My friend got a 7 dollar drink which she didn't even end up drinking because it was so bad. The guy checked with us because he claimed it had 4 shots when it tasted like it had one. White Mocha taste was not present. I got a cold brew, tasted bland and not strong at all ( at this point I was regretting not going to starbucks instead and I know craft coffee so I really thought this was the better option.) My friend usually loves coming here but man this was a huge disappointment and honestly a waste of money. I personally would never go back. (My friend is much nicer.)

This place slaps! Stopped on our cross country honeymoon and both the food and the drinks were AWESOME! Coffee was high class with lots of flavor and undertones. Chai Latte was, according to my wife, “liquid happiness.” The sandwiches were also really good quality and delicious. Combine that with the reasonable prices and this is a must stop for your morning if you are in the Chula Vista area.

Visiting and this place popped up for its good ratings. We ordered and got our drinks fairly quickly but our food took a really long time. My husband and I both ordered the bacon cheddar and to our surprise it was very spicy! I couldn't even finish mine. My husband got a cappuccino and he didn't like the taste of it. Such a bummer since we had such high hopes.

Adorable shop tucked away in Chula Vista! Lots of great art, and phenomenal coffee! There was barely a wait both times I have been, and the last time I went they had a DJ playing great and loud music! There is plenty of parking, and if you can’t get street, there’s a big pay to park lot in the back with easy access to the shop. Super fun experience, can’t wait to go back soon!

Great little coffee shop in the heart of Chula Vista. Staff is friendly and attentive. Brewed coffee is the best I’ve ever had and my wife says the lattes are awesome. Breakfast sandwiches are a must have. They are on a fresh English muffin made in house. Be sure and try one!

Small but great coffee place, cafe food, beer, and art. Love their dirty matcha, consistently delicious.

Rad spot. I've been looking for a good local coffee spot to spend my money and I'm happy that I stumbled on this place. Staff is chill, good music, atmosphere is spot on. It's got that young, clean grungey vibe without being pintresty cute. Will continue to come back. Food spot on but the coffee is even better.

If your a coffee lover and want your coffee made perfect every time then there is no better place in Chula Vista than Grindhouse. One of the few places in San Diego that know how to make a flat white. And make Mexican mochas that are not just sugar. They also don’t overcharge for veggie milks. More importantly the service has always been excellent. They are genuinely kind and don’t rush you. Shout out to Karely! Support local business. In summer it’s a bit warm but the ice coffees are also delicious.

Staff are super friendly and welcoming! Love their coffee. Reminds me of being back in Melbourne, Australia. New favourite spot in Chula Vista when I visit.

Great coffee and tasty food, cool vibes, and the staff is always so friendly. There was a long line today and they all work quick, check in with customers that are waiting, and getting us exactly what we ordered. Love coming here!

Hands down best place in Chula (I'll suggest all most of SD...) to get fantastic coffee(s), good food and the staff have always been shining stars. Ambiance rocks, seating is sufficient if you have the time to chill for your sip and chew and again, so if you haven't zipped in for a warm bevvy and a sammie, you're missing out.

Hands down best coffee shop in Chula Vista that I've been to. The ladies that work there are nice and make a great cup of coffee, their dirty chai comes with 4 shots, for those days when you really need that pick me up.

Great coffee spot! The staff are warm and welcoming, the coffee is great and the food is not too shabby, either. It's a cool little place with pastries and dog friendly. It definitely takes a LONG time to get your drink and food, not sure the reason for that but if you have the time, check it out.

Coffee was well balanced and delicious, the vanilla cold foam was initially good but tasted more like whipped cream after it was thoroughly mixed. The Reese's cup was creamy and delicious and not too peanut buttery.
