๐Ÿ˜  So a couple of months ago I signed up for the yearly membership, or whatever its called, and I thought to myself "cool, all I have to pay is $ร—ร— every month" Well here's what they don't tell you, there's a maintenance fee of $99.98 that they will be charging you 2 - 6 months into your membership. So... People often mention staff, machines, training, equipment, trainers, friendly, time,

So a couple of months ago I signed up for the yearly membership, or whatever its called, and I thought to myself "cool, all I have to pay is $ร—ร— every month" Well here's what they don't tell you, there's a maintenance fee of $99.98 that they will be charging you 2 - 6 months into your membership. So you can imagine how shocked I was when I woke up to see my account short $99.98. Supposedly it's in the fine print but of course I didn't read it - because who does? - but with that being said the employees should tell you something like that regardless of whether it's in fine print or not. *Edit* Lowered to 1*, would make it 0 if I could. Go to a different gym. Other than that the gym is nice, lots of equipment, always clean, great place to go.

It's an alright gym, when it's busy don't plan on doing any squats or deadlifts or bench presses because the racks will be taken up and nobody know till when they'll be open. Busy times go to a bigger gym. During Slow times it's very pleasant. Clean bathrooms and people are nice.

Updated review 2018: Last year this gym had improved a lot, after that blonde manager left and the new female manager took over the gym seem to improve a lot, friendly staff, more trainers, cleaner bathrooms and gym equipment, but since that manager left most of the staff left with her, the new staff is dull and they always seem to just hang around the front and talk to each other or with some gym regulars, ignoring everyone coming in. The gym itself is not bad, is just not as good as before on those aspects. the equipment is kept functioning and the people that go there is the same, the typical meatheads and regular gymgoers. For the price is just not worth it anymore, its just weights and machines, other gyms offer much more, including the 24hr in Bonita which is truly 24 hours open and a pool. Chuze has outside area, bars, hydromassage and sauna for cheaper. At this point , This 24hr is just not worth the price. I have to start by saying that this Gym has improve a lot from last year. Pros: Gym has all the right equipment, squat racks, bench press, lots of free weights , Dumbells and bars, TRX. Parking in the back with 3 floors of parking, enough for everyone so parking is not an issue at all. A lot cleaner compared to last year, seems like they focus more on cleaning and you can tell. New staff that seems more friendly, lots of new cute girls. The manager seems nice to, compared to the previous blonde who was a total B. Its open 24 hrs from Monday - Friday. Cons: its a basic active gym, meaning no pool, or spa or anything else besides the equipment. No bring a guess either. It can get overcrowded at peak hours. Lots of meatheads and very few girls since there is a women's gym right next to this location. Not open 24hrs on weekends like the one of H st. If you're looking for a fancy gym this ain't your gym, if you're a serious lifter this is a great gym to train.

Friendly staff, but disappointed recently. Wondering when the AC in the Group X room is going to be repaired. This is starting the second week with a very warm and sticky Group X room. Also disappointed that the staff lately seems to ignore the automated messages "Time for a Team Clean" messages. Soap dispensers in shower not refilled for several days and toilet tissue dispensers sometimes empty. Staff should be monitoring these items, not me having to call it to their attention repeatedly.

Best, knowledgeable, and friendly trainers! I have been a member at this gym for 2 years. I trained mostly with Chris, who is very kind and pushes you to your fullest potential. I started with personal training and then moved into a group training class that is taught by Chris. I have also had the opportunity to train with Keith and Joe, who are both very good and friendly. All the staff members are very friendly and it feels like home when you walk in. I recently lost my grandfather and took 2 weeks off from the gym I was surprised to come back to a condolence card signed by my Spartan training class mates, trainer and other staff members from the gym. This gym really feels like home. Even when I visit other 24 hr gyms I rather be at my home gym. Highly recommend the Spartan group training class taught by Chris. oh yeah, I have lost 50 since starting my personal training and group training classes and I have kept it off for 2 years!

Nice clean gym, has all the essentials such as free weights cable machines, cattle bells, dumbbells, showers and lockers etc... There are a few screamers in here and they should offer a class in gym Etiquette but you cant blame the gym for those that are inconsiderate. Overall great place to train.

I was a member years ago, then stopped. I recently joined again, this is the closest gym to me, I wish it had a swimming pool, but most of all open 24 hours ALL THE TIME! This gym is okay, sometimes a machine doesn't work properly, which is normal then later on it works. What I find annoying which has little to do with the gym is men trying to pick up women and their talking is a distraction for my workout. The staff has always been friendly.

I am leaving this bad review until things change. The showers are outdated, some don't work. Bathrooms are always dirty, the air filters are full of "dust" you can see them through the vents and it is hanging. Many machines are missing parts to select the weight, some running machines are broken, today one of the pieces was on the side creating a hazard. Management should take more care of this gym.

First off, I've been training at this gym for about 10 years now, so I have seen the evolution over the years with the staff and how well (or lack thereof) they maintain the gym. The staff is nice. They greet you upon walking in about 90% of the time and greet you upon leaving about 50% of the time. The maintenance crew keeps the gym somewhat clean besides the restrooms. The restrooms are always a mess. Also, there are times when you get on a cardio machine and it has a layer of dust on it like it hasn't been wiped down for weeks. They are extremely slow at equipment repair. There are two calf machines and one of them was broken for about 3 weeks. In fact, I think it is still broken and the other calf machine seems to break every few weeks. Also, the restroom sinks are constantly out of order. They clog up and then the restroom smells like a sewage waste. They put a huge TRX area in the gym and the current trainers seem to do Crossfit-type training. If you want to do Crossfit, go to a Crossfit gym! It is rarely used besides people doing pull-ups, which they have a pull-up machine and two other pull-up bars attached to other machines. The only time the TRX area is used is when the one scrawny trainer is training a big group of females. It should be removed and replaced with another leg press machine and other useful machines. They also allow trainers (non-24 Hour employees) to train clients there, which I'm sure is against policy since they want their patrons being trained by 2r Hour trainers. It's pretty obvious, especially when one of the trainers actually works at LA Fitness and trains his clients on the side at this 24 Hour. Also, there is a younger guy there that is there for hours yet never works out. He just has client after client. There is supposed to be no photography/video, yet one time they allowed a couple to take wedding pics in the gym! If it was slow, it would have been ok, but it was a weekend and the gym was packed. The photographer had all of his equipment laying around and they were taking up several machines at a time. They thought it was cute that the guy was leg pressing the girl. In reality, it was annoying that they were in the way and I was surprised that the gym would actually allow that. They also ignore one of the most annoying things; people not putting their weights away or back in the correct spot. They have tiny signs up but they need to enforce it more than tiny signs that people ignore. One time I was there and a guy was doing dummbell shoulder presses. He dropped (threw) the weights, they bounced, knocked a bunch of dumbbells off of the racks, and then he just walked away. They didn't say a word to him. The trainers just look the other way. Last, but certainly not least, this gym was rarely packed in the past. You could go any day of the week at anytime and you could get a good workout in. Now they have WAY too many members! In order to get in a good workout, you have to go before 9am. Otherwise all of the machines are being used. There have been several times when I have walked in and it was so packed, you'd think you walked into a club.

๐Ÿซค Iโ€™ve been a member at this gym since early 2017, 6+ years. Iโ€™ve created a lot of friendships outside of the gym with the staff members from 2017-2021.
