I've known couch Juan Medina for about 10 yrs now. Juan is very knowledgeable in both amateur and professional boxing. Juan strides to make every boxer the best , as long as the boxer puts the effort. Juan does not run the gym as a business, but more as his hobby to find talented individuals. An outstanding place fo learn the craft of boxing and staff are on point Coach Juan & Cesar give the right attention to each student they provide the 1 on 1. Also they motive their students to reach their goals day to day. The atmosphere in this place is amazing feels like home to the point that my boy don't want to go home and be in the gym. I did my research and checked out a few boxing/MMA gyms around San Diego and I have to say that without a doubt this is the best one out there. At Bound Boxing Academy you learn how to really box, you’re actually taught the craft, and get in tremendous shape while doing so. They have a new, clean facility, and friendly staff that create a great atmosphere for every age. You get one-on-one training from the extremely knowledgeable coaches that help you progress every step along the way. Great place to train! If your looking for competive amatuer boxing experience, pro boxing or just looking to box to stay in shape, Bound Boxing is a place you'll want to come and take a look at. The head coach keeps it real with you on his expectations for members and is very professional. The style of boxing has proven to help the athletes succed in competition wether if they had previous experience or no experience at all.

I started about a month and have already lost 13 pounds, hard work and determination really pays off. Coach Juan is tough, super tough, so if it is not in your heart to box or at least have the determination to strive to better yourself than I suggest to not waste your time coming here because in this gym there is no such thing as an easy ride to learn how to box, it is all hard work, good nutrition and heart.

Juan is such an amazing coach. I've learned so much being here. I'm stronger and faster than ever before! It's also a great work out, he pushes me to do better and to never give up! I look up to coach Juan. Thank you for everything coach!

Best gym to train for amateur or professional boxing.

Good gym with good people. Welcoming, family friendly environment but for those who want to get serious with boxing. I really enjoyed the time I spent at Bound.
