I signed back up to this gym back in July when they opened up for a couple weeks and I only went 2x when I decided It wasn't worth it as this gym was not following COVID-19 measures properly. Fast forward to August (I believe) I get charged and my bf who I signed up as well, we both get charged a yak fees and now fast forward to September (today) we were charged $100 and I can't figure out why because no one from this gym answers the phone and they don't reply to emails. Not to mention it's just a dirty gym, mirrors are always dirty, equipment broken. I want to know why I was charged an annual fee in a pandemic when the gym haven't really been open all year and why now I was charged 100$?

I signed up for this gym in the early months of 2017. I took a job transfer in June 2017 and called to cancel my membership in July 2017 to only learn that you must go in to cancel. I no longer live in San Diego county and itโ€™s impossible to do this. I have called repeatedly since and finally received an email address in nov 2018. 3 emails later still nothing! Called this morning to learn that they want my cancellation form. Where the hell am I supposed to get this when I donโ€™t live there? $180 later theyโ€™re still taking the money out. When will it stop!!!!!

I canceled my membership on November 5 2018 and I dont know why my credit card got charged $8. I called and the lady who pick up the phone by the name of Ana told me that she can see I cancel my membership and she didn't know why I got charge n that she was going to pass the message to her supervisor and that she was going to going to call me back or the manager. I called and 10am and i called back at 2pm because i never got a phone call. The person who answered the phone told me Ana was gone for today and that the message was never passed to the manager and that manager wasn't there and that she would be back in 25 minutes. I went personally today around 5pm and that the manager left because she had a problem with the babysitter. (I understand that) the girl who's telling me this in the front desk while eating grapes. Employees should eat in breakrooms not in front of the customer while giving customer service. Its rude and disrespectful. I believe her name was Elizabeth. She told me to send an email and call in about a week because it's 2 days before Thanksgiving. Crunch it's giving me the round around and as a customer I do not appreciate it. Their customer service it's not good.

The gym has definitely gone downhill since the pandemic started. The gym is consistently dirty, there are not nearly enough mats, the jungle gym where camp crunch is held is missing most of it's equipment and the TRX's need to replaced. The current mask mandate is not being enforced, and the personal trainers are not masked up when training clients. None of the staff have name tags, and the front desk MSR's don't look professional. They don't have any consistent uniforms. How does Crunch expect to have a clean and professional facility without professional looking employees?

Tried canceling a membership of a cousin of mines that Iโ€™m paying for by law since Iโ€™m the card holder Iโ€™m able to authorize whatโ€™s being charged on my card if not itโ€™s fraud! I canโ€™t believe they wanted the person to be there meanwhile Iโ€™m the one getting charged! Iโ€™m trying to cancel but they are trying to keep as much people as they can to stay open! All I want is to cancel a membership that isnโ€™t going to be used!!! And Iโ€™m the one paying for it how hard is it to be helpful!!!!! I have the card info in hand and everything!!! Your a fraud fraud fraud!!!

Just went in for a workout on a Thursday evening. About 9 p.m. Stated business hours on the door say they're open until 11 p.m. Their website says the same, as well as Google. I get there, and their doors are locked. No sign saying why they're closed. No email. No mass text. Nothing. Hey guys, if you're gonna just close up early, I think your paying members deserve some kind of explanation before we waste our time driving to your location. Very unprofessional. I've been working out here for several weeks, and the only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because of the equipment selection and diversity, layout of the gym, and some of the staff are fairly decent (but not all of them.) I've had personal trainers walk across the Oly lifting platform I'm using while they're talking with clients, which is a huge no-no in regards to their, my, and their clients' safety. Apart from that, it's terrible gym etiquette. Like seriously, just take 2 extra steps and walk around. Good selection of free weights, machines, and open space to do floor based movements. They also have some pieces of equipment that many other gyms do not, which scores them some points. Like any other gym around here apparently, the members are a mixed bag in terms of overall douchebaggery and gym etiquette. Many are very cool and understand the concept of shared space and shared equipment, but others take no responsibility for cleaning up weights after themselves, destroy barbells by dropping them on pins while doing idiotic rack pulls, and just wreck the bathrooms. If you ever wanted to die by asphyxiation from Axe body spray, just walk into the men's locker room. You may not get out alive. You'll also see a fair amount of clueless noobs curling in the squat rack while you're waiting to, you know, squat in it. People pulling out 3+ sets of dumbbells, scattering them all around a bench they'll occupy for the next hour, mostly while they're texting. Then throwing their dumbbells on the ground after they finally get around to doing a set. And people pilfering your spring clips when you're not looking. Constantly. It's like, no go ahead and take 'em. I was just using them for squats, but you clearly need them more than I do for your freaking EZ bar curls. But such is the nature of a public gym, especially one with reasonable-in fact, very good-membership rates. I knew before I joined this wasn't a 24-hour access location, but guys, if you're going to be closing down early so we can't use the facilities when you're supposed to be open, what good are you as a gym? I can think of a million other ways that are far more entertaining to waste some time and money than paying for a membership and driving to a locked gym.

Mediocre at best, probably will not come back here again. 24 hour fitness is so much better than this for sure.

Just letting everyone know you now have to cancel a whole month in advance now and have to go in person to do it. Just moved out of state and they still told me I cant cancel my membership over the phone and the manager still has not gotten back to me via email.

I was going to join but after reading all the complaints I will go somewhere else. I noticed that management does not address a lot of the negative complaints here, mostly answer the few positive. I get the feeling this place is gonna go bankrupt cause a lot of clients are leaving. Iโ€™d rather join the YMCA.

The staff is rude and they seem to dislike their job. The bathrooms and facility in general are dirty. The drains are full of hairs, and there is mold on the shower walls. It is also difficult to breath with the dust in the training areas.

The staff are super friendly, decent amount of equipment, and good hours available to use the facility. Only real downside I saw was that the bathrooms are old and very shot out, and they need to be cleaned more often.

Lucas is one of the trainers here and he has changed my gym experience for the better. Improved my technique and form. I went from barely squatting 315lbs to squatting 455lbs in less than 2 months. I recommend at the very least pick his brain

My favorite gym in El Cajon! It's just got such a good vibe and we've been previous members of other named gyms but, we always return here. No judgements, a true motto! And, the staff rocks! They take the time to get to know everyone and I love that about the gym. Hey some good news! The masks are no longer required and the classes just opened up at a first come first serve basis. It's nice to be back in the world (and the gym)!

This is my best gym... Close to my home, pay less comparing to other fitness, nice customer service, clean area, perfect air circulation and every time parking available. One issue need to consider, open hours. Iโ€™m sure a lot people agree with this point. I have no problem to pay a little bit more (from $9.95 to $11.95) to extend the opening hours. Over all, my favorite gym and I like it...

Started working out here this week. Its a little warm, but then, it's really hot in San Diego this week. Add to that 80 bodies trying to give it their all, I can't really complain about temps. The staff have been super friendly and helpful. The gear is clean and has been available when I want it. This is a great, non-judgmental gym. No meatheads, no weight slamming, it's a pleasure to be here.

DO NOT GO TO CRUNCH FITNESS, I was in the USMC in san Diego and I went to a crunch gym in lakeside ca and one day they had a sign saying they had closed and none of the phones worked anymore and I was not notified by email or mail so I went to another gym in the area and they told me I had to cancel at the gym I went too and that they couldn't help me so I called by bank and stopped the payments and now two years later I get a call from a debt collector and I owe $198 and if I don't pay it will ruin my credit and now I find out after calling 20 gyms in different states that crunch doesn't have a corporate number or any way of contacting anyone to fix this so if you go to a crunch fitness just know that if you one day have a problem with your gym no one can help you and the company does not care

first of all have to say that the vibes here compared to any other gym is that i like the way i get acknowledge for showing up because that gives me the best motivation of not giving up in always returning to this establishment. the employees and personal trainers are commited to thrive in training and awesome role models to look up to i never doubt asking them a problem i have with my own training i see them training just as hard as i want to be myself which is a big plus because when you hit plateau i always look and ask them for a change and challenge thanks Eliseo, Hector, Aaron, Lucas Alex and Funny Raul we could totally do a fuuny Sitcom here at this gym thats how great the staffs here and even every individual that works out here

I had a membership here and cancelled it after 3 yrs of being with them filled out the forms was told there would be one last payment from my account they took three more payments and never cancelled my account. I had to go in they they told me they changed systems and they couldnโ€™t find anything about me canceling the account. I had to do the paperwork with them again and they never offered to pay for the extra payment taken from my account. Donโ€™t do auto pay with them they will take it and not give it back!

I recommend Pro-TF to everyone and anyone who is looking to get healthier, get fit or lose weight! The trainers on staff are very knowledgeable and can modify any exercise for me even in a group scenario. I've never seen or been to a place like this before in my life! Want results, try this place on for size!

The gym is nice and the workout equipment is great. HOWEVER, the billing department is sus. I requested to cancel my membership because of covid-19 but they continued charging my credit so I got in touch with them again to cancel it. Also my friend, had a lousy experience with their customer service department. Train your employees better and upgrade your billing systems.

My membership was to expire in April- do I cancelled my membership April. I received the cancellation paperwork from there location. Today 5 months later and got a bill. Tried to cancell membership and was told I had to pay my bill- before they would cancell my membership. I lost the cancellation paperwork.MY ADVICE IS TO CANCELL BY EMAIL TO HAVE A TIME VARIFICATION OF YOUR CANCELLATION. I BELIEVE THEY DO THIS TO LOT MORE PEOPLE THAN ME. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Your really getting what you pay for here. Pretty basic when it comes to the layout, machines and equipment. So come in focused on what you are there for. It gets pretty busy during the week. Especially on the weight side. With only 2 cleaning stations in operation if your lucky, cleanliness is under par. With as much staff that is present, these statons should be fully operational. The men's locker room is usually clean. Always could be cleaner but it is clean enough. You'll get hit with the registration fee about 3-4 months after sign up. So have those funds available. Overall, it's a good place to go if your gyming on a budget. It has the tools you need to reach your fitness goals like I have. Just know that it will be busy if you plan on going right after work. Even though I live a mile from this location, I think I'm going to swith to the other location in El Cajon that is bigger with a swimming pool.
