We’ve visited the New Children’s museum several times and our kids have enjoyed it, however we started to notice some concerning trends with the exhibits. There is an exhibit downstairs that is very dark and has lots of places kids can go missing and where strangers can hide. Additionally, there is a new exhibit upstairs that is borderline demonic and features a dark room with two mattresses on it where you’re intended to lay down and breath as the lights turn on and off. It’s very strange to have so many dark, hidden places in a children’s museum. There is something spiritually dark and demonic going on there.

We have all Sunday morning with no schedule but checking out of our hotel room. To explore the city a bit we searched online and found the new children museum within walking distance. We decided to go in with no expectations except for pictures found online. It turned out to be a good decision. I would personally say it's suited for 12 and under. My daughters spent 2 hours easy with all the jumping around, climbing up and down, clay crafting. They had fun.

Easily spend all morning/afternoon experiencing unique exhibits from artists all over the world. This is necessary just a play area for kids like some other museums, nor is it as educational as others. However, this museum focuses heavily on art and the interaction with art. Exhibits are organic and unique. My 2 year old loved it! $18 is a little steep for what we did, I'm not going to lie but it is San Diego...

Very fun place for kids and parents! I like that there are different sections for all different ages. I brought my 21 month old and he had so much fun! There’s also a great park across the street when you leave.

My 10 y.o. son liked all the art & discovery zones, especially the theater, hidden slides, large 50' (?) slide, very large bounce (cylindrical tube air house), woven "drop/drip sculpture" climbing room ? -( quite extravagantly made !) -note: 1/15/22 sanitation happens for an hour @ noon which is reassuring....kids can play out ft.. There is a Starbucks or coffee shop there..oh and an exceptional gift/toy shop as well - beautiful & smart toys that travel & endure... Remember if outside to see extra play area to the south of the swings & large intersecting balance beams area... the staff were present/caring, kind & exceptionally attentive..

The New Children's Museum of San Diego emerges as a sanctuary of creativity and learning. Its interactive exhibits, creative decoration, clever and beautiful art, and the unique balance between non-pretentiousness and sophistication make it a treasured gem in the cultural landscape of San Diego. It's a place where children's dreams take flight and where learning is an adventure in art and imagination.

We came to there grand opening, they had fun activities outside, as well as inside. The downside was that we have to make a line to go inside the museum because of the capacity. Which took at least an hour to go inside. Little bit of a bummer , because you know kiddos don't have the patience for that. Also you have to reserve your tickets before going. They have two time slots 9am-12pm & 1pm-4pm. I think i will wait a bit before coming back

Not impressed. I've been to several Children's Museums, mostly here and TX. This one has a dry, art museum feel to it. There's no pretend play things (or maybe very few that I didn't find), everything seems centered more toward order and art than fun. The climbing/play area had a native American theme, great concept, I love native American things, but for a play area, really??? Kind of felt like it sucked all the fun out of it. Deep, ethereal symbols and quotes FOR A PLAY AREA?! Why? I'm sure they're native American symbols, but the vibe is very occultic. What's wrong with bright colors and pictures of happy fruit like everywhere else? I recommend Mast Park in Santee, this isn't a children's museum it's a playground with a lot of rules.

Always a fun experience for kids in San Diego! Located right downtown. Paid garage parking is available but free or cheap metered street parking isn’t too difficult to find if you show up early enough. Buy tickets online or take advantage of free days throughout the year. Plenty of activities and experiences for kids of all ages. My son especially loves the hideaway area and I love it too because it’s connected to an outdoor seating area for adults to relax while kids run around and tire themselves out.

This place was really awesome! The exhibits were fun and there were specialized interactive art areas for toddlers, preschoolers and elementary aged kids. My kids jumped in a rainbow of the missing link, made clay pottery, colored sea creatures and scanned them into an interactive aquarium!!! Even my husband got in on this technological art and science Mashup to add Cthulu. I think the yarn ball looks like my worst itchy sweater nightmare to climb in but the kids loved it! Honestly, I think every town should have a play area like this place has. It's artistic and evokes imagination while providing physical challenges that I was shocked my 4yo could just do without ever trying before. Who knew he could climb a vertical rope maze or a rope ladder yet alone figure out climbing across a mesh tunnel with nothing more than a cargo net for balance!?! He said he's ready to do boot camp now and both kids left feeling stronger and more creative. Highly recommend this museum.

We only made it to three rooms in the main floor because my toddler loved it and wouldn't leave. From what I could see looks like it is best for 3-5 year olds, but didn't get to explore. There is a little beansprout Cafe and a park across the street. It was super crowded and parking garage was full. They close 12-1 for cleaning.

A must-see museum, an incredible experience for kids and adults alike. Be prepared to think, play, create, wonder. We brought food which we ate afterwards across the street at an amazing new playground. There's also a cafe inside the building which is a decent option.

This is my favorite place to come with my family. There are 3 floors of attractions and activities for children of all ages to do. It’s a huge plus that they work with different artists for new installations for children to play and interact with. The staff is so nice and friendly and made my children feel very comfortable. There is also a cafe which is a major plus if you need coffee or to grab a bite after playtime. If you are looking for an activity to do in San Diego for your children, this is a must go to attraction. I also feel that their pricing is very family friendly and they do not charge for children under 2. I wish they opened up more museums like this one around California!

I loved this place for my four year old son. There are a lot of activities like painting, ceramics, and many more activities, a place to spend the day with the little ones. The only bad thing is that there is not much place to park the car but other than that it is an excellent place, very clean and organized and the employees are very well trained to help the little ones 👌 .

Highly recommended for couples and families! Free tour through multiple rooms that is both engaging and interactive! They have exits from every room in case you need to duck out early - and honestly we were planning to do that - but then we got so into it that we didn’t want to! At the end they even had a free photo booth that prints out the photo. The whole experience was really cool and I highly recommend it! If you stay for the whole tour it’s about 40 min.

MUST VISIT. Great place for children of all ages. They currently have two play "slots" and are closed from 12pm-1pm to do their cleaning. No need to buy tickets in advance! They require to wear a mask indoors. Beautiful art all throughout.

Very friendly staff. The place was a bit crowded but I think it’s normal on a Sunday. Their hours make sense! 9-12 then break, then 1-4! 3 hours is totally enough for kids to play. They have 3 floors and a fun slide from 2nd down to 1st. The clay area is fun. Staff in the Innovators Lab is friendly too. Good spot to spend a few hours with the kids!

Really awesome place for the kids to explore, create and have fun! Location is right in downtown across from a new playground they can play in after your visit. We went through each floor and kids (ages 2-10) interacted with every station offered. Love that they have a breastfeeding nook to feed your baby during the visit. Super useful! They even have space for the 0-4 crowd to play with soft items that my 7 month old enjoyed. We were there about 2.5 hours on a Saturday and it was not too crowded.

As you enter, you are met with beautiful pieces of art painted throughout the walls with beautiful and inspiring messages. There are so many different things to do with what always feels like so little time. As a resident, it would bring your child so much joy to take them to a place where they can explore, learn, and push their minds to do much more than they thought they could do! As a tourist, if you do have the time to visit this wonderful place to treat your children or child to, please bring them here! There are a good amount of seats for all us adults! We went on a Thursday and it was not busy at all. With about 2 1/2 hours to explore. Spent about 10 minutes in a new area with hugging pillows and a very calm atmosphere. Afterward, we spent a good amount of time making clay sculptures! Moving on exploring other areas then was led to the GIANT knitted area play area. A good amount of seating on the level for parent to watch their children be children, you can swing on the balls or go in the nets and get lost! Part on that level can be seen in one of the videos taken with the plants. That area is to the right of the giant knitted play area from the staircase and elevator. The food selection for the kids' meals was adorable. We ordered the grilled cheese, and it was shaped as little monster eating tater tots. My kid also thought it was awesome! The pizza they served was awesome, and the Farm Parm sandwich I had was good but felt like it needed more sauce. The salad that I got with the sandwich was a healthy amount, and it was actually pretty good if you like balsamic vinegarette. Chips, cookies, and a handful of other snacks were available for purchase. I ordered about 7 meals and our order was ready in about 10 minutes! Tickets were around $20 for children ABOVE 1 and free UNDER 1. $24 for adults 18 and over. $20 for those adults who serve in the military! Regarding the other comments with the demonic and dark places. I watch my children and keep them close with an eye on them at all times. I don't think anything like that at all, especially when you are the one who took the kids to the museum and is responsible for watching your child at all times. The area in the middle upstairs is a relaxing area and sort of a meditation ground for you, your child, significant other, or anyone to take that second to just relax. I sat my child next to me, and we closed our eyes and just listened to the beautiful sounds. I feel as if it being demonic or something up with the area is a stretch. Bring out your inner child and play alongside your little ones as they get to explore, create, and smile. This place is a great place to wander. Highly recommend!

This Children’s Museum is located in the Marina District of downtown. It will keep a child having fun for hours. They have 3 levels including an outdoor area. The employees are all hands on and some are artists as well. I highly recommend it.

We have had our membership for the past 2 years and we absolutely love it. We usually only go throughout the week since it gets PACKED during the weekends. Our children enjoy all of the sensory activities and especially the giant bed room. This place is fun for children and adults. The staff is extremely friendly and I have seen them go straight special forces when a child gets separated from their parents. Hand of applause to them. I definitely recommend this place and appreciate the 50 percent off parking with the use of their phone number.

Best kids museum ever! I spent 3 hours here with my one year old and we could have easily spent longer. Upstairs is a baby and toddler area with an age limit of 4 years. You can bring your stroller with you everywhere or park it by the entrance or outside each area as you like. Everyone was asked to take their shoes off for the baby and toddler area so the floor is nice and clean. We took part in a stamping workshop which my baby loved. Afterwards we washed his hands by the sink which has a staircase he could stand on. I think he loved that even more than the stamping! He then played by the buzzy board and in the soft play area. He doesn’t walk yet but had a great time. Unlike other reviewers I would say babies can have fun here as soon as they can sit and play! There is a bucket for “mouthed toys” to limit the spread of germs which I think is a great idea. The soft play area has a giant water tap/faucet and is introducing the idea of conserving water. Outside the lift was a table with bricks where both kids and adults were building towers. There is also a Rainy Day house which has books and has water dripping on the roof. It is meant to inspire creativity for a rainy day and we saw many parents reading books in there and kids having a great time. On the main floor was a clay workshop, a superhero drawing (tracing) workshop and more. Everything is included in the entrance fee which is $14 for adult and $12 for kids from 1 year up. They also have memberships which we would have got if we lived in San Diego. They start at about $89 for an adult and a kid per year. I saw they do classes for babies from 18 months and they looked like a lot of fun! We had a delicious healthy lunch at the Beansprouts cafe in the museum. My baby particularly enjoyed the sweet potato “veggie tots”. The cafe has both adult and kids height table and chairs. There is a nursing nook for nursing, pumping and bottle feeding and people are also welcome to nurse, pump and bottle feed anywhere in the museum. There are plenty of family restrooms which easily fit a stroller and have tables for changing nappies. There are also water fountains on each floor where you can drink or fill up your bottles. You can rent a locker for $1 next to the cafe. Downstairs is a sketch aquarium where kids can draw a sea creature and put it under a scanner. It then appears in a giant aquarium which is projected on the wall and they can interact with the creature to make it move. They loved it! There are comfy sofas for the adults to sit and watch the aquarium while the kids run around. I saw they were hosting a birthday party downstairs where all the kids were dressed up as superheroes. It looked like a lot of fun! This museum is so well designed and thought out for kids and families! I wish we had something like this in London!

Very clean, staff is extremely nice and helpful. I'm only giving 3 stars because there wasn't that much to do. I've been to many children's museums around the country. Sometimes you can spend the entire day at a museum. This is not one of those museums. The things that are available are very fun and well taken care of. Our children enjoyed each activity. We enjoyed our visit as part of a San Diego pass so we were fine stopping in and moving on. I would not have wanted to pay full price for the amount of time we stayed. It was a nice stop for a rainy part of the day.

Really enjoyed this tour! We had no intentions of even visiting old town on our first trip to San Diego but I’m so glad we did! This historic site was our first stop and I’m so glad we stumbled on it! It’s free and pretty entertaining for kids, especially the last part where they can pan for gold. I never knew the history behind the Mormon church and their hand in the building up of San Diego.

Beautiful, free, full of interesting fact. Kids loved it. Adults loved it. Free. The people running the place are super nice. And after the awesome tour the kids had the chance to "search" for gold and keep the nuggets they found in their pan. Their is even a place to take "an old time photo" (black and white, but cool anyway) For free! Love it. Wait, did I say that all of that was free? ;)

This place totally surprised us.. It was one of the highlight of our SD trip. This place is very well done with special affect and story-telling. Within 45 mins of private tour, you learn an untold piece of history about Mormon Battalion and early days of San Diego. Don't let the name fool you, since no one will force any religious information onto you. You will be surprised like us, also It's free and kids friendly!

It is an excellent museum for kids. Please note that they have a break between 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. for cleaning. Read about parking as they have limited space, but they do give discounted rates at the parking lot nearby. My son had a lot of fun. He liked the treehouse, animated fish aquarium, and colorful “kids-hive.”

It’s a cute museum, but it wasn’t quite worth it for us. Our 2 year old was too small for a lot of the stuff and the bigger kids made it impossible for him to play on a lot of stuff. There were a couple areas specifically for younger kids only, which I did appreciate, but for $15 for parking and $45 to get in to the museum, we will go to the library or a park next time. The nursing nook was a good idea in theory, but multiple kids came and opened the curtains while I was feeding my baby and so it wasn’t private after all. Would be helpful to have some way to keep the curtains more secure and closed for privacy.

Great place for our 2 year old and 8 month old. The 2 year old was able to do everything but the big slide and loved all the activities. Everyone was good about wearing their masks and they close at 12 for cleaning. We liked it so much we got an annual pass. We got there early on Monday and there is parking right infront of the museum for a 1 an hour. You can also park in the garage which is 15$ or 7$ (with the annual pass)

I went with my seven yr old grand. We did every room/activity there. Three hours is a good amount of time to do/see everything. The docents were all child friendly and kind. At the end I noticed The BREATHING ROOM near the bounce house and Grand said that was her favorite thing. Perfect end to a fun morning. I'll post my picture.

This place is amazing. Although it was designed for small children, my teenagers had a blast. Its a 50,000 Sq ft playground. We came on MLK and there was a bit of a line earlier in the day. The museum parking garage was at capacity. But there is a public parking lot a block away. If you purchase tickets online, you get a coupon code for $5 off the parking. What I loved.....they even have a Nursing nook for the breast-feeding mommy's. Plenty of restrooms with 3 sink sizes: standard, kid-sized and toddler size with a step stool. If you have kids and live in San Diego, I highly recommend the season pass. So worth it.

This place is fun but it is not easy to find parking/you pay to park. The inside is very big and if you bring multiple small kids it's easy to get lost. It gets very busy and a bit more than I'm comfortable with. My kids do a lot better at the children's Discovery museum in Escondido. There are great things to do here but if you bring more than one child I highly recommend bringing more adults. Do appreciate the bathrooms are kid friendly. Parking is behind the museum underground for $$ or there are paid lots a few blocks away.

First time visiting. This place is awesome for all ages. There is an awesome aquarium and a t-Rex skeleton right when you walk in. The planetarium shown about dark matter was mind blowing. Highly educational trip through the universe showing how tiny we are relative to the greater universe. In essence we are an atom to the planet earth.

Excellent referral from a friend and from google ! Great place to play, although, now that we've seen it, we probably wouldn't pay the entrance fee to go again unless it was for a special event of some kind. Don't get me wrong, it's worth the fee. It's a cool place with tons to do, but would I go again?

The only downside of this place is paying for parking in their garage. Children 1+ are charged so don’t come thinking littler kids are free, they aren’t! You can also take advantage of their EBT program. Only 1$ for up to four with an ebt card! Access for all! The kids have a ball every single time. The exhibits are interactive and straight out of a child’s imagination. They also do change regularly so it’s a different experience. They have a party room here to as well.

Definitely a cool museum. This one takes it up a notch. My 5 year old feels empowered in this place. She loves going to each area and doing her own thing. It's exploratory, sensory, and very creative. We drive an hour to visit here every few months or so.

Horrible customer service. They don’t allow you to wait for parking underground even if there is someone pulling out. They expect you to drive around in circles until there’s any actual parking space open. They also revert to “it’s policy” but no common sense. My family and I went up the car ramp that led to the underground parking. As we approached the top, they told us that we couldn’t use the car ramp because it was too dangerous. So they made us go back down the “dangerous” car ramp to use the elevator. Again, no common sense. Upon reaching the parking attendant, they said we needed to get a stamp on the receipt because they did not have any parking slips. Upon reaching the front desk, they gave us a hard time because they told us we needed a parking slip: it’s policy. After awhile, they instead stamped my receipt with “paid” to verify parking. The actual museum was okay. My opinion, it was too crowded and tools did not work such as the scanner. Also lack of supervision for rambunctious kids. Upon going to the underground parking, they asked for our parking slip and instead we showed them our receipt. They took my receipt and tore it up. I told them I needed my receipt and the attendant gave me a hard time stating that “it’s our policy to keep receipts”. I told her “no”. When a customer pays for something, they get a receipt that they keep. She then asks why I needed my receipt anyways. I told her that’s none of her business. And she again reverted back to it’s our policy to ensure no one reuses their parking slips. I told her that receipts are time stamped for a reason. Again no common sense. Finally I was able to keep my torn up receipt. Just a bunch of recent high school grads that work here with a chip on their shoulders.

My kids (6, 4, and 1) LOVE this place because there is something for every age for them to do. They also change their exhibits often enough that it feels new every time we go. I Love that the San Diego County Libraries offer passes for families of 4 to get it in for Free. They have indoor and outdoor activities and bring your kids in clothing that you don't mind them getting messy in, because there is a place where you can paint a life sized car and kids just love covering themselves in that paint. The Museum does provide smocks for the kids and hand washing stations as well and the paint is water based. Take your little ones, you won't regret it!!!

Highlight of our San Diego trip. Do not miss if you visit old town! Beautiful grounds, moving, interactive story and history telling will keep even very young children entertained. Outshines any country replica at Epcot or Disney. Kids loved posing in the wagon out front, panning for gold, and learning to wash with wash boards and hand pump well. Elevator to look out tower with binoculars for guest use. The spirit you feel here will help renew your faith in God and determination to be a better person- amazing experience.

Neat guided tour to hear the history of the Mormom Battalion's march across the west. I didn't know their assignment was to build a wagon road. It was also interesting to hear that they exchanged skills and knowledge with the people they met in San Diego, like brick firing and desert farming.

I hadn't visited since before the Mormon Battalion visitor's center got a complete redo. The new visitor's center was AMAZING! I had my boys, 10 and 7 with me. The presentation was so fun! It was interactive and engaging for people of all ages. It was great that they made a movie presentation with actual actors. Perfect way to spend the beginning of our day.

I love learning about history and I particularly enjoy history as it relates to my people whether it be US history or the history of my faith. This is very cool and well put together. We weren't able to go inside because of the pandemic but I've been in previously and it was extremely interesting and well presented. Even from the outside, it was clear that improvements and refinements had been made since my last visit. I'm excited to go inside again the next time I get to SD

This is definitely a place where the missionaries are trying to convert people to Mormonism. The overly slick video shows only one side of the story. In the real world of history the Mormon battalion really was not that important. They have plenty of money to make this a very large Showplace for trying to recruit more LDSs. You can skip this one.

  • 2/5 MsB 4 years ago on Google
It felt like a recruitment trial...instead of walking through the Historic museum we were a kept audience by a film replayed on repeat until the "sisters" were ready for our group to "accompany" them thru the museum. We were held behind doors & escorted from room to room, unable to walk around, and held captive by more scenes of same film we had seen before being permitted to leave for actual tour. Clever way to convince & re-inforce the actual views of The Book of Mormon I suppose, as there seemed to be no expense spared by these films.

Been to Old Town San Diego many times. Recommend you go during business hours as many of the attractions are only open then. The Mormon Battalion Memorial, however, is open late and has its own parking behind the building (thumbs up). Displays commemorate the Mormon Battalion, a group of almost 500 volunteers (men and women) who made the US Army's longest infantry march to California in 1846, during the Mexican-American War. As Brigham Young, the then-Prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints foretold, the group never fought the Mexican army, only 'fighting' a group of wild bulls that attacked their camp. When the Battalion arrived in San Diego, they pitched in and helped build civic works including a school and San Diego's first courthouse. When the Battalion marched away later, some San Diegans were sorry to see them go. A few of the Saints agreed to work for John Sutter, to build a mill. It was there that some of these men discovered gold in the bed of the creek that ran next to the mill. Although all were excited by the discovery of gold there, the Saints stayed to complete their contract with John Sutter before leaving for other interests. It is said that some were involved in burying the dead of the Donner Party in the Sierra Nevada mountains, those of the Donner Party that died of cold and starvation in that terrible winter.

My kids enjoyed their time there today. For the price, it is worth it. They have three levels of activities for the kids. It’s not an overwhelming place and actually great for those parents who do more hands on and Montessori type learning. Don’t come here expecting ball pits, huge blowup slides and robotic toys. This is definitely a hands-on place, but wish they had a few more levels of activities for the kids but again for $10 admission it’s worth it.

  • 5/5 Joanna L. 2 years ago on Google
Great time with the kiddos, plenty to do and plenty of activities for the kids to do on all three levels, from slides, to bouncing, climbing, building, drawing and exploring. There's something for everyone, even for the little toddlers under 4. I heard they are putting in a new exhibit so no more aquarium.Excited! Definitely plan to come back so the kids have more time since they have the two sessions of play 9-12 and 1-4, they close from 12-1 to clean and sanitize during covid! I love that they have a Nursing area as well for moms, and a little Cafe for some of us who need a snack. Definitely recommend. The artists did a great job designing these interactive/playable art pieces. Each exhibit had a small description like most museums. Great way to discuss to children that not all art is paintings or structures- for those children who are widening their creativity and imagination.

The New Children's Museum is one of my all time favorite places to visit with our family. I am so happy it's back open after Covid. The exhibits are immersive, visually stunning, and engaging for my little ones. They also change every so often, so the Museum never feels stale. I enjoy that both my 11 month old and my 4.5 year old can feel comfortable exploring the spaces without getting bored or feeling overwhelmed. There are plenty of areas where parents can join in on the fun with their kids as well (clay molding, tracing table, big foam erector set, books in the little tots reading nook, etc). We especially loved the balance beam park that was added to the park across the street. Pricing for a family of four level 1 season pass is incredible responsible at $140 total. Pays for itself within 3 visits. Also gives 10% off at Bean Sprouts Cafe, which has an excellent and varied selection of healthy kid-friendly foods and snacks.

  • 4/5 Sierra D. 2 years ago on Google
My 3 year old had a great time playing. I'm not sure why it's called a museum. There is a lot of mural art on the walls but it's mostly different play areas for kiddos to discover. There aren't any exhibits. Great place to take the little ones.

I took my daughter here yesterday and was truly impressed with this museum. It was a like a giant indoor playground for kids. Very cool place and kids from 3-7 will love this place. They have lots of activities you can do plus cool slides and other fun climbing areas with stages and crawl areas with tree houses.

  • 5/5 Jungsoo L. 1 year ago on Google
At first we thought it is quite expensive - 20 per adults and 18 for children. 1 year and older should pay! - but it was worth the visit. Great place for kiddos to be creative, and also spend there energy on tree house and other activities. We spent good 3 hours, and my son had a blast!

  • 5/5 Bertrand N. 1 year ago on Google
I would highly recommend the San Diego Children's Museum to anyone with kids. It's a great place to spend a few hours, and the exhibits are both educational and entertaining. It's clear that the museum cares about providing a safe and fun environment for kids to learn and play, and I can't wait to go back with my family! With so many kids running around and touching everything, it can be hard to keep a space like this clean and organized. But the staff were constantly cleaning and sanitizing everything, and I felt very comfortable letting my kids explore and play. There are so many interactive exhibits and activities for kids of all ages to enjoy, from building and designing their own structures to experimenting with science and technology. It was great to see my kids learning and having fun at the same time.

  • 5/5 Magdalena G. 1 year ago on Google
My children loved this museum and I recommend it. I have a 2 year old and 12 year old and the museum was suitable for both of them as well as the adults. We were from out of town and we took about 2 ½ hours to enjoy the place with no rush. We were at the museum on Monday, March 27 and it was busy with people, but comfortable to enjoy all the rooms or the activities they had.

Use your library card and log in to Discover and Go for one free family pass- kids LOVED IT, spent a couple hours here, creative space with a cafe, only wish the huge staircase wasn’t concrete which is terrifying. Three floors with open floor plan, space to run and play, indoor and outdoor options. Looks small but enough to do for a half day.

Nice, welcoming, well designed children's museum in the heart of downtown San Diego. This one is very much oriented to arts and creative thinking. Probably best for pre school/ kindergarten aged children, but younger and older kids would also get a lot out of a visit. Very good restaurant on site with excellent children's options, as you might expect.

It’s a cool concept. Big slide is probably what my son loved the most. Like an art kids museum. He played with clay, paint. The quiet room was cool looking. We got in free because of military
