👍 I can't believe I live right around the corner from this it never knew this place was here. This is a good way to take a snapshot of what Spring Valley looked like before all these people are here. It is really cool to see the historical side of Spring Valley and the old buildings with the old art... People often mention history, Spring, Valley,

I can't believe I live right around the corner from this it never knew this place was here. This is a good way to take a snapshot of what Spring Valley looked like before all these people are here. It is really cool to see the historical side of Spring Valley and the old buildings with the old artifacts in there as well as the different Native American rocks in arrowheads and grinding stones. This is a good way to spend 30 minutes seeing history. We often send our kids to school to learn history out of history books when it's all around us. This was a nice and enjoyable spot around the corner from the house. I highly recommend this place in which the schools with start taking field trips again to hear. This was a great way to spend Father's Day weekend.

This was a fun site! We where met by chickens, which prompted the proprietor to come out. From there it became an interesting and fun 3 hour exploration of the site -mostly because of the discourse and knowledge of that man coupled with my interest in history.

Great stop on a beautiful Spring day! Lots of cool history. Docent Jim was SO knowledgeable and entertaining. My teens were actually engaged for a change, lol. Keep this preserved bit of the past intact. Loved it!

Made a point of finally visiting. The host there was so good. He had tons of information delivered in an exceptionally friendly fashion. The books inside were just crammed with photos and info from San Diego’s East County history. Very well worth the visit and plan on going back.

The Birthplace of Spring Valley. A great place to visit and learn about Spring Valley's history while enjoying the cool breeze. Nice shady areas to sit and good amount of parking.

My family and I visited recently and we enjoyed our time there. Jim's enthusiasm for the history of Spring Valley was contagious and he was a very gracious host and guide.

Very friendly tour. Bring the family for a free history lesson about Spring Valley and take time to view the many items on display. There is even a free gift at the end of the tour.

I love this piece of history! House is hidden among industrial buildings, but once on the property you get a sense of years gone by. First house built in Spring Valley! Beautifully preserved. The curator is a friendly man with a lot of knowledge of the house and surrounding area. Definitely worth a visit!

👍👍 My girls (10 & 6) and my wife visited in late July of 2021 and the guide, Greta (14 years old) was AWESOME! She knew her stuff. We have read all the books up to "The Long Winter" and we learned so much about the back story to many of the individuals & their extended family that filled gaps. It was a...
