Definitely a bizarre place to visit. We found quite a few makeshift ladders scattered on the US side of the border, we also saw someone who climbed over the border get arrested. Spoke to a border control agent for a while who told us it happens multiple times a day.

We were thankful for every second. Nice place to visit, ride bikes, hike, enjoy the beach. Looks a lot more fun on the Mexico side. I would like to visit that side in the future someday.

Theres a decent section where there is a large amount of wster cleaning bivalves. They help protect and clean the water during high tide. I saw a bunch of people picking them and taking them off the rocks. Just let them clean your oceons man. Leave them alone . The creatures of the sea will take care of you if you take care of them .

We visited this place on one of our last days in the states and I'm so glad we made the effort. The access road was closed in the day but it's easy to park near the entrance and walk in. I recommend taking water and snacks with you as it's a mile or so walk. If you are unsure of where to head there may be some border protection staff around that can direct you. We found the staff we came across to be friendly and informative. For someone visiting from Australia this was a bizarre but absolutely fascinating place to visit and I highly recommend making the effort to get there and check it out.

It’s a good place to escape Mexico! I got around the fence so easy and now I’m free in America!! 10/10 great experience. Here’s a pro tip: try to hold your breath underwater as you cross the fence so no authorities catch you. Thumbs up for me πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½

Visited in 2019 when I was completing a tour of all 5 corners of California. (5th corners is the dog leg at lake tahoe) The border patrol would not let me take my camera in to see the actual survey marker.

Congratulations! A strange feeling accompanies you all the time when you look at this place. One coast, one ocean, one Sun, one weather... But the worlds are different. Rules, laws, customs are different. And the fence is the border that divides these worlds. As much as necessary. Otherwise, there would be no fence. As it does not exist for birds that fly from one world to another. And with every flap of the birds' wings lives the hope that the need for a fence will one day disappear.

Very interesting place. I call it β€œso near but so far”. It is just fascinating to see the border between USA and Mexico. And adding the Pacific Ocean to it makes it even better. It is very interesting to see the border wall extend to the ocean and so many question start getting in your head. We went during day time and it was completely safe. There is parking available near by.

For people wondering if they can just swim around the wall, please note that swimming around the barrier is not a practical option for most people due to several factors: Physical barriers: The border infrastructure, including fences and walls, extends into the water, making it difficult to swim around them. Surveillance: The area is closely monitored by Border Patrol agents, cameras, and other surveillance technology, making it challenging to evade detection. Currents and hazards: The ocean currents, tides, and potentially hazardous conditions pose significant risks to swimmers attempting to circumvent the barrier. Overall, swimming around the barrier is not a feasible or safe method to bypass border control measures at San Diego.
