Park is good except no restrooms great views of San Diego, just be weary of the young druggies that frequent the trees and bushes of the canyon. Don't hike alone seen some guy wasted on drugs staring into the sky and laughing out loud in the bushes.... as the great Hunter S. Thompson said "You can turn your back on a person, but never turn your back on a drug, especially when its waving a razor sharp hunting knife in your eye."

Beautiful- this place is well-maintained, plenty of space, good fields with shady areas and 2 gazebos, couple of b-courts, skateboarding rink for those inclined and an awesome indoor recreation center with plenty of hall space to spare. go over the hill and there's a small forrested area to hang out in as well as a partially gravel walkway that loops around to the main trail and street. has a preschool and performing arts room adjacent to eachother. bonus points for their dedicated dog park enclosure near the center. downsides are that the parking is probably not enough to accommodate everything at once and that the renting prices are fairly high per hour. located right next to Eastlake middle school and Duncan Ranch Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses

Decent green space with playground. Small parking lot but adequate street parking. Some trash laying around an interesting crowd at the park. The best part is the skyline view

Little gem. Did you know there are home made dirt bike trails on the point? Needs restroons though.

Beautiful small park with a great view. A great park in remembrance of a wonderful young woman who was taken from us to soon.

This very small park features a children's play area; a grill; table and bench seating; a short, grassy hill; and a nice view of Downtown, San Diego. And some interesting trails that I have fun walking my dog through.

Very nice little park. Tucked away in a corner. Over looking the 805 freeway and the south bay.

My favorite park. Small but has a view of the city that is unique and inspiring.

Nice little quaint park off J Street. Very small and limited parking, but worth the visit if hosting events or just coming for a walk with others.

Great neighborhood park to take little ones. This place is super busy during the Fourth of July because you can see fireworks all over San Diego

First, it should be re-named on the map: Gail L. McCandliss Park". Second, small park, great views of downtown San Diego, and the sunsets are awesome from here. The reason I only gave it 3 stars is because 2 of the lights have been vandalized, a fair amount of graffiti. The trails look good both for walking and bike riding though.
