Memorial Park is a nice place to go to to get off the beaten path of the 3rd Avenue Old downtown 3rd Avenue business district you can stop and sit down on the grass and the trees and the flowers and take it easy take a brief respite have something to eat something to drink smoke a cigarette just relax and take it easy and then it's like a brief interlude Sundays for 10:30 I believe the first Sunday the month so I can check on that it's available online they have a farmers market freezing by a lot of great stuff fresh flowers potted plants gardening materials nice things to eat the great great great place to go and things to do on Sunday

It's a simple walk in the park, what else is there to say? There may not be any play structures, (if you're planning on bringing your kids or whatever) but it's just a nice breath of fresh air.

Bring my siblings there sometimes since they're little and my parents need a break and its always a great place to kill at least and hour unless they want to stay it can be 2 hours.

Plenty of sitting space. Perfect acoustics. A delight to have been there for memorable occasions with my children's and grandchildren school celebrations.

Very peaceful place. Hard to do any sports there, but a great place to sit under a tree and relax.

I visited the community center next to the park. The park looks very nice. Many families were there. Great place to take the kids.

Beautiful outdoor amphitheater in downtown Chula Vista that seriously needs more functions and events! I just wish Fuddruckers was still next to it! But hey, La Bellas is still across the street!

This park is infested with roaches. I mean just nasty. This isn’t what it used to be like post pandemic.there’s also this nasty smell lingering in certain areas of the park🤢

It's a great place to relax. But you should be aware there some irresponsible parents who bring bikes to a park that has prohibited to ride on. They almost overthrow my child.

Another one of my Music and Ppl watching spots. Not busy during the week, Holidays are another story. Great family atmosphere, car clubs meet up in the parking lot from Fri-Sun. So free car shows every weekend 🙂😜 can't beat a great atmosphere + FREE CAR SHOW

It's a lovely slice of Chula Vista. There can be some homeless activity, but it's always safe and lively. The lights come on at night and gives it all a very urban feel with 3rd Ave shops lighting up.

In-between errands always stop by to take a nice walk around or through. Restrooms were closed for longest time. Love the greens and trees. A bit confused about the leash rules. Signs say leashed but Memorial is classified as off leash dog park. Always aware! Stay safe!

This is a super quiet and chill park. It's a great place to walk your dog and they have "doggy bag" stations set up at strategic locations. There is an open air amphitheater where they sometimes do events and there is also a cool little bridge that the kids like to skateboard over. If you are in downtown Chula Vista and want an interesting place to walk around this park is a good bet.

I walk this pretty much every morning and for the most part I love it.The thing I don't love is the dog droppings. This is a constant irritation to me. I'm not saying people don't pick up,it just seems that percentage is only 60%. Maybe it's the lack of "Dog baggies" dispenser's along Park Ave. But other parts also have theirs problems even with provided bags. Some even have had a political whim to them (another story). All in all nice park!

I'll be bluntly honest, with my biased opinion removed. There are a lot of homeless people that seem to live in this park. They generally seem to be friendly. I don't know if they upkeep the parts of the park they stay in, but the park is usually pretty clean. Lots of shade to sit/lay under to relax, or if you have kids, perfect place to bring them bike riding. Also, there's some space to skate in the auditorium, in case you're playing S.K.A.T.E. or just learning. It's just a block away from the police station, as well as 4th street with a huge selection of food and cafe.
