Mountain Hawk is a medium size l park nestled among local Chula Vista neighborhoods. The views are gorgeous, and it really is a beautiful, peaceful place for reflection and to start the day. They have something for everyone including gazebos, grills, a playground, and an open field. The walking trail, which is gravel, winds up the mountain on the back side of the nearby homes. They are pet friendly with cleaning stations all around and even have a pet fountain. While they do have restrooms, they do not have doors on the stalls and the seats are quite low, so please be aware . This is one of the most beautiful parks in the area and is definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful park for sports, jogging, or even picnics. Has an incredible view of Otay lake and the mountains. I just happened to be here for the Moon rise. Not great pictures but you can get the idea

Absolutely gorgeous park with a mind-blowimg view of a lake and array of mountains. I could spend hours here just enjoying the nature. The park features three gazebos (can be resereved - or used for free if no reservation at a first come first occupy basis), a huge field, hiking trails, natural elevation, and restrooms.

Very interesting place to visit on the east side of San Diego. It’s really beautiful in comparison to most of San Diego, it’s not populated yet on this side so it’s more natural. There is a lake which is unusual for the topography. It’s the other side of Chula Vista that’s far away from crime, poverty and noise. Totally different than the ocean side of San Diego. This is the mountain side as you get deeper into inland before you get into the mountains and desert landscapes. Some claim, this is a gem and it definitely is because of the location and proximity to the trouble of the rest of the city. It goes not give you any of the clues this is like the rest of San Diego.

This is one of those hidden gem places in Chula Vista! I come here for the beginnings of my weekly hike with my group, and the views are always stunning 😍. I've found out so much about the area just from walking around. I highly recommend for any outdoorsy person or if you're just looking for a change of activity and scenery! Added a couple of pics from parts of the trail as we walk along.

This is a Great Park to bring your family, Sit and relax, exercise, fly a drone, play Pokemon Go (yes some of us still play it). There are trails for walking and running. There are 3 Gazebos you can rent. There are cement tables all over the place. There are play areas for Small kids, and even a water fountain that comes out of the ground. And the View Of the lake is Great! I love going there sometimes and just look over the water. Check out this park its Great!.

I really like this park to go for walks or to have a picnic with a lake view. It has a trail path that goes towards the neighborhood. Very nice place. Plenty of street parking. It gets busy on weekends so the small lot fills up fast.

A beautiful place to run, walk, do yoga, Tai Chi or just contemplate life's small pressures. A place to breath fresh air and enjoy nature. Play with your children in a safe environment. See for yourself. Come on by.

Nice little park with views, grass area, party areas, trails, and a basket ball court. The only issue is now the place has become popular so parking seems to be full most of the time and you can't get in on the court. I kind of miss when this was a hidden gym.

This is a really nice park with nice views of Otay lake. It also has beautiful views of the mountains. The added bonus is a very large, kid friendly, splash area. This seems to be a day break for the local day camps that are well supervised.

Had their $9.99 prime rib, what a deal. Gambled and watched MNF on TV. Nice evening. Had is cheaper than most here also. Free RV parking.

A MULTIFACETED OASIS: NATURE, CULTURE, AND RECREATION UNITE I walk through this park twice weekly from Salt Creek Recreation Center. And every time I see a different sunset, smell a new plant, and see various people. It's amazing to observe the melting pot of cultures enjoying the same beauty. The open scenery with no building obstructions provides a breathtaking backdrop for a serene escape. This setting also allows for fantastic open space, perfect for photography enthusiasts looking to capture the beauty of nature. What struck me most was the park's dedication to showcasing indigenous influence throughout the parks stone artifacts. It is a respectful honor of the area's history. It's worth mentioning that the park promotes responsible wildlife interaction, reminding visitors that rabbits are for seeing, not hunting. This respect for nature extended to the well-maintained walking and jogging trails that wind through the landscape, allowing for both leisurely strolls and invigorating runs. The park's crowning jewel was its beautiful lake and majestic mountains that provides a picturesque backdrop for relaxation and contemplation. This calm environment is recommended as an wellness break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. For those seeking an active outing, the extensive space can easily accommodated family bbq's, parties, soccer matches, and volleyball games, making it an ideal spot for a fun-filled day with friends and family. In my opinion, this park truly stands out as a harmonious blend of natural beauty, cultural appreciation, and recreational opportunities. Whether you're looking for a relaxed time or an active outing, it offers something for everyone to enjoy. HIGH FIVES Pavement path wheelchair/motorized accessibility Always clean, no trash or graffiti Usually ample parking Otay Lake Views/Mountain Views "We become not a melting pot but a beautiful mosaic. A great park for kids and adults. It has a water play feature, a playground, a restroom and many areas to sit. In addition, a great view to the Otay Lakes.

Great park for picnics or just to walk around the trail. There are at least 3 gazebos for parties and a play structure for children. The views of the lake and mountain are beautiful as you can see.

This is one of our favorite parks in Chula Vista. The view of the lake really makes it a pleasant park to just hang out with the family. The playground equipment could use a little updating, but it’s not bad.

We rode our mountain bikes on the gravel trail and made it down to bike around Eastlake. Trails and park are very well kept. Will be biking here again soon!

Beautiful views. The playground is not very big. Lots of space for a little one to run around. Will see some trash on the floor but the trail around the park is very nice.

Beautiful park with a breathtaking view on the lake. Big well maintained lawn, gazebos, picnic areas, basketball field, walking trail, splash pad and more. Very quiet, and not overcrowded even on busy summer days. There's also engraved texts that tells about the history of the area which is quite educational. I wish the restrooms offered better privacy; there's no door in private toilet areas inside the restrooms.

Toddler friendly park with a great view. My 20-month old and 3-year old were both able to climb on the playground without too much assistance. They both loved the splash pad, too! There is plenty of close parking.

Celebrated my son's first birthday at Gazebo 1. We absolutely loved it. Beautiful view, splash pads, and nice playground. My only concern would be the rest rooms dont have doors, but other than that I still rate this park 5 stars. Definitely worth the money we spent to reserve this location.

We liked the Splash pad. However due to current conditions the splash pad is turned off. Overall the area to walk, play, and picnic is a 7 out of 10 for me. There are restrooms and space for kids to run around. The equipment is in good shape and the grounds are kept well. When busy the parking can be a challenge. Overall I recommend this park for anyone to use.
