Large grassy field often utilized for soccer games or family parties, kite-flying, or running to catch the sunset! Fun interactive playground for many age ranges! Cement walking paths around the field. Dirt paths and extra-steep path down into the canyon. Large buzzing electric lines so keep away from those. TIP—> great spot to bring large kites on windy days!! TIP—> on clear days you can see the ocean and Point Loma! TIP—> watch for rattlesnakes and keep distance from holes in dirt! TIP—> the white mock orange flowers smell so wonderful! I take one along with me on my hike.

Nice small play ground for kids. And a good size grass area with three picnic tables. The only thing is the bathroom needs soap and doors for the stalls in the bathroom.

Pros: Very clean grounds. Patrons have all been nice. The field, like most in this area, is a very generous size. The play structure is rated for 5 and up, but my 2 and 3 year olds had a great time. There's even a see-saw. Wasn't keen on seeing the lady with the rottweiler have her dog drink from the fountain for people. Cons: Would be better if there were doors on stalls or soap in dispensers: the same story as every Chula Vista park. The water won't even stay on for a second unless you hold it down and the button is messed up, so after your no soap surprise, you've then fully covered your palm in someone else's failed attempt to get water out. The parking lot is very small. The park doesn't seem designed for many people all at once, but I'd think with the size of that field that there'd be more stalls needed for a game of soccer.

Great park. I have a 3 and 4 year old. They love it. Also the grass area is huge for dogs and games or just to run around in. Great for picnics!

Well maintained, spacious, family and dog-friendly community park! Amazing super blooms for viewing or photography, too! 😃 PROS: Luscious grass (sport events, dogs, picnic, etc) Generous paved pathway (walk, run, bike, etc) Nice playground (with a cool seesaw!) Family picnic tables w/ tree shades Benches and trash receptacles throughout Decent public restrooms with functioning water fountain CONS: Bathroom stalls without doors Limited public parking Major roadway within close proximity Undiscarded poop (irresponsible pet owners) Best spot for our dog to free roam whenever there's nobody around; she LOVES to run!! 🐺 *** BONUS *** At the farthest, back point towards the little hillside; there are traversed trails to hike, bike, and/or walk pets on! Just remember to respect nature's landscape along with all its habitat. (Such as foxtails (painful to pets' paws), rabbits, rattlesnakes, coyotes, etc.)
