The just common thing I hear about this campground is, "I had no idea this place existed!!" It's a hidden treasure. The rangers are kind and helpful, save one, and there's plenty of shady spots for tent campers. It's mostly peaceful, though Fridays and Saturdays can get a bit busy and loud. Most people are conscientious of other campers and keep to themselves. The spots are pretty close together, but they're adding more as I type this. Most of them on the lower half have trees and bushes to separate spots and provide much welcomed shade. The upper half doesn't have much shade, so it's better for those with RVs and campers than tents. The bathrooms are well kept, cleaned daily (more than once on weekends), and have decent showers. The showers run on tokens, and it takes more than it does as Tijuana River Valley Campground, but they're also superior to the showers at TRC. 2 minutes per token, and tokens are 4/$1.

This place is very nice and we love camping there...except in the summer because of the ant problem. It has been there for YEARS and they don't seem to want to do anything about it. Even though we do everything possible to keep the ants out of our rig, they manage to get in. So after a day of playing you get to come back to the campground and spend hours trying to get rid of the little buggers. But it is virtually impossible. It is a battle you will continue to fight for DAYS!

Beautiful place to stay. Affordable. Very helpful staff. The only downside is they charged each of our friends and family who visited us $4 a car to spend any time at our site. Their posted policy on this is not very clear as it seems to be originally intended for extra cars who stay to camp at the site, not a visitor.

It's pretty good. We came after a huge weekend with trash cans overflowing. The need more trash bins. Also men's toilet not taken care of. Last year was better. On the upside, the rangers are nice and they didn't rule is to death. Very patient regarding our barky dogs.

12/16/23 We spent the night in the campgrounds. We walked all over the park. It's a nicely paved roadway. The staff at the front gate were very polite and informative. With full hookups a night was $40. There is only one bathhouse. Flushing toilets and hot/cold showers. Water pressure was low but they are very hot. It cost two tokens and that will get you 4 minutes of water. You will need to gwt tokens at the front gate. I suggest, if there isn't a line, to get them when you check in.

Nice park. Very clean bathrooms. Kids loved the water park. Grass area is very well maintained, luscious, soft, and a thick base. Was like ealking on a sponge. Nice view of part of reservoir.

Hands down one of our most favorite RV parks! The nature, the view overlooking the city, how quite and peaceful the area is - everything was perfect. We cannot wait to come back.

Lots of road noise. But it has that relaxing atmosphere. And well kept. They are a stickler for those rules, but nice.

Good family place. Big sites. Close to SD. Activities. South loop's have nice views at many sites. We visited labor day weekend. Full but not crowded. I'd like to visit in winter too. Well kept park.
