Awesome place for a walk, bike, or horse ride. You can take a short one mile walk around the lake area or it connects with the entire Rohr Park area. The trails are wide with plenty of space. Reviews are very nice especially right now with all the flowers blooming. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. There are even picnic spots available and benches to sit and look at the lake.

Lot’s of trails, great playground with seasonal splash pad. We camped at the campground and found the bathrooms to be clean and functional. There’s a little road noise due to proximity of hwy but not too bad.

A lot of easy, meandering trails. It gets kind of confusing with all the interconnecting trails. Overall a nice little trail around Morrison Pond

Nice walk. Difficulty level... Easy, would be great for kids; bonus is the pond which you wouldn't have known was there.

Awesome location with so much to offer. Right in the heart of Bonita and there is so much to do here with endless opportunity to hike, mountain bike and even ride a horse. You can go all the way to San Diego Bay from here or up go inland to San Miguel mountain but riding a horse you're limited to Bonita up to San Miguel mountain. The lake is beautiful and takes about 15-20 min to walk around and it's one of my favorite places to do photo shoots here in the South Bay.

Massive wildfire hazard. My homeowners insurance won’t be renewed because if this tinder box catches fire, everything around it is toast. Combine that with people living in it with makeshift heat/cooking sources, and it’s easy to imagine it’s only a matter of time until catastrophe strikes

I will always visit this park. I live in sd and still I pack a tent from time to time and grab a spot here. The restrooms are clean, sites are cool all with killer views And most importantly I feel safe here.

Great bike path for little ones . It's enclosed, so no worries of them running into cars. My little one mastered his riding in this great path.

love it. best park so far for a quick walk or jog. trails aren't usually busy. there's a way you don't have to cross real streets w cars. really empty weekdays during the day. even pretty chill on weekends in the late afternoon. going around the pond is short...about 1.9 miles back to the parking lot. but you can make your route longer by going all the way around the golf course!

We took a walk by the pond and found this little magical spot. Many people have come by to add some little trinket and left a note there. ♡

It's easy to miss, as it's right after the intersection. It's right before the pumpkin patch. Wear practical shoes. Be prepared to do some up/downhill, and do look out for chucks, stones, sticks, etc. Also, insects and brambles. There are people who are living in the park (they are homeless) so be aware of your surroundings. Horses are frequent, too. Clean up after yourself and pets. Bring water if you plan to walk out and meet up with the bigger trails, that are extensive to the area. Be considerate. It's beautiful and peaceful. Very spiritual, because of the relative sense of solitude.

Really nice park. Surprising amount of habit and wildlife diversity. You could hike for hours if you do the entire loop.

Love coming here and enjoying Morrison Pond and the ample walking trails. You never know what you will find here. There could be a horse themed birthday party, a haunted trail hosted by the Spring Valley Recreation Center or completely peace and quite and an abundance of wildflowers and wildlife. A beautiful place to come to enjoy nature!

    Trash everywhere on the ground

  • 2/5 Kristi R. 3 years ago on Google
Trash everywhere and the homeless have taken it over. Can't stray off the main path or you stumble into someone's makeshift home. Go somewhere else.

We enjoy the walk around the lake and if you add the golf course wit the park it’s a lovely 5 mil walk.
