The city has done a fantastic job at spending tax payer money to install single-person benches in four separate places on this strip. Introducing anti-homeless architecture like this only inconveniences families trying to enjoy time outside, and doesn’t address the actual homeless problem the city has created by gentrifying areas.

This park is a lovely gem and the neighborhood is so lucky to have a little bit nature to commune with. I recently spent an hour sitting on one of the many benches, reading. The park is designed for dog owners and families with younger children because of the play area's design. Most of the people I saw were dog parents taking their pooches on a walk to do their business. I did see a dad taking his young daughter for quality play time at the playground. It is well maintained and quirky because of the numerous birdhouses that were designed and built by local artists. It's fun in it's design and functionality.

We moved to Downtown San Diego a few weeks ago, I love Downtown but finding places for the kids to play is a challenge. This park was recommended by one of my neighbors and what I love is that is walking distance from my house. The park is small but good enough for my young kids to play. You can also have a nice picknick with your kids, and don't worried about transients I have not seen any. This place is good for kids ages 2 to 5 years old, as one of their signs say. I also love how clean it is and the planes when they pass by. P.S. The park is up hill going north on 9th ave, so make sure you are ready for some cardio work out.

Nice location, able to see the incoming (in good weather) planes to SAN. Overlooks the interstate. Minimal amount of bums, due to the Cortez Hill climb. Beware of the street burglars, residents who hold ‘F’ permits should be aware of the scum bags who prowl this neighborhood at night. Remove valuables from plain sight if you park up here!

My daughter always asks me to take her to the park. I enjoyed taking her to tweet St not a lot of traffic passing by so it's safe. And she always happens to find a new friend

This is a small strip of park next to the I-5 close to the landing approach to Lindbergh Field, but it is very relaxing. True to its name, birdsong can be heard. The festive signs and information kiosk add to the ambience. Locals bring their dogs and children to this family-friendly venue.

It's a nice little place for kids to be kids. There is a bouncy surface that is fun to run and jump on that covers the entire park, there are swings and a nice jungle gym with a slide. It's small so I wouldn't go out of your way to go here, but if you are in Cortez Hill of Downtown San Diego and you have kids, you definitely should take them here for some outdoor fun.

It's a nice little spot. Definitely need 2 seater seats min. These single ones are definitely inconvenient. Definitely can kill an hr here easily. Would definitely come back tho. Very peaceful. I did not find any bathroom so we left.

Extremely pleasant park for the entire family. Definitely felt safe. I came across this beautiful park once I got off the interstate from driving from Minneapolis Thanks for the wonderful experience

Nice little park next to the 163. It's a neighborhood park, not big, but fun for 2-5 year olds.

Very cute for neighborhood kids to play. I wish it had a fence so the kids didn't have as easy access to the street

Nice little park at the top of the hill. I echo that it is a great place to walk a dog or to just sit and enjoy.

It's filled with dog droppings from irresponsible owners and homeless people looking for a place to wait out the night. If you do go, go in broad daylight and be willing to walk away at a moment's notice.

Such a beautiful park up in the hills right off San Diego , the views are just stunning to see, my photos will speak for themselves....

This isn't a Park, it's really for locals to walk their dogs. It does have a kids playset for younger kids, and some benches and birdhouses, but really it's a landscaped strip of land for dog walking.
