Beautiful, quaint park for the local neighborhood. It is walking distance for many of us in this neighborhood. It has one playground great for young children with shaded picnic tables. It has a community garden in the back and a small set of exercise equipment in the front. Plenty of trees are planted so in the future there will be more shade. There are also a lot of lights when it gets dark.

Brand new park. It’s a great park for the local neighborhood. It only has 3 parking spaces and a couple handicap spots. I would not say it’s worth a special trip unless you live very close by. It also includes a small baby swing by the two seater swing.

Not money we’ll spent, poor planning. This plot of land was too small for anything, let alone a “park”. Then they put parking spaces in for 2 cars and a handicap space, which I know will be used by regular cars. Just waiting for the homeless to move in and ruin another quiet neighborhood.

I've been takin my kid to Chollas playground the past yr now and she love it there. Buy I live 2 blocks away up the hill, my 8 yrs old was excited thru the yr as it being build. Turned out to be disappointed after she walk around for 5 mins. It totally wasted. Infant swing and a small slide there.....basically it ! Wasted

It would be great if when we spend money for children’s’ use that it actually goes to children instead of a homeless guy shelter with an aggressive looking dog and clothes everywhere. There are actually no public services you can call to report this either.

Ildica County Park is a new neighborhood park located in Spring Valley. The park is about half an acre, with a large shaded picnic area, play areas, exercise equipment, strolling paths, & a cute community garden. Keep in mind the park is very small but the kids loved it! The park features one large play structure, small grassy area, infant swing, interactive excavator, and a fun standing swing. Bring some sand toys or a ball and just enjoy the vibrant new park. My kids loved playing with the interactive excavator and running around exploring the park. Parking is limited to only three parking spaces and one ADA parking space. Unfortunately, there is no street parking either, so if the park is crowded finding parking would be difficult. Also since this is a small neighborhood park, there are no restrooms. Located at the corner of Ildica St and Sweetwater Rd No bathrooms

It's small. BUT it's OUR NEIGHBORHOOD! WE NEEDED IT. Too bad not part dog park but it's a piece of green in a not many park area. It's a nice walk for me & dogs from 15 mins away. We deserved it, although a bit bigger would of been nice. Water it though!

Cute park. Good play equipment. About 3 parking spaces. No bathrooms. Had a great time until someone showed up with a dog with no leash.

Good park for kids to play. Pretty small, but still cool.

My son is 6 and is way too old for this toddler playground. There is an infant swing and a very low 2 seat swing (probably ideal for a 3 maybe 4 year old). The slide structure is very small clearly for toddlers but the sign says designed for 5-12 year olds which is just inaccurate.

Beautiful little neighborhood park! I live a few streets over and was SO excited when I saw the construction going on for this park, as there are very few public green spaces in Spring Valley(especially within walking distance of my house). I see a few complaints that it is small and lacking some things like a bathroom or an abundance of parking, and while it would be nice to have all the amenities, I really think this park is perfect for this little corner of Spring Valley and I am grateful for anything we can get! There is a beautiful community garden(LOVE IT!) as well as a new playground for the neighborhood kids and public workout equipment, which is a huge plus in my opinion. There are nice grassy areas to sit or walk a dog, however this is NOT a dog park or an off-leash area and as a fellow dog owner, please respect the rules!! There are leash laws for a reason- whether YOUR dog is fine off leash does not matter, leash laws are for public safety so just respect the space and clean up after your pets. If you want a nice dog park, try Rohr park which is only about a 10-15 minute drive from this area. Anyways, very thankful to the construction crew that built this little space for us to enjoy! If you are in the area, stop by and enjoy all the birds and pollinators fluttering about! And please clean up after yourselves so we can continue to enjoy this space :)

👍👍 Nice park in an alright area. The grass field is well lit at night. It is a sports complex so you will more often than not see several different sports teams practicing or playing on any afternoon, evening, or weekend. 👍 Love these trails since in my backyard. Go all the time with my dog. Easy level unless you choose to go all way up to top of Dictionary Hill.
