If you're into the not so ordinary; for sure take a ride and visit the abandoned reservoir. There's free parking right off the road; so blink and you'll miss it. The bridge is closed off for safety reasons but, you'll find so much beauty in your venture. It's amazing with beautiful graffiti artwork in every nook and cranny with makes for some awesome photos! But, you'll really love the trails or the ones you'll make up as you go along. Bring water and/or a lunch and if you go on a cool day; for sure bring your furry friends.

I always come here to jog. The trails link up nicely, which makes for good circuits. There are also excellent views and not too many visitors on the less visited areas. However, if you are going to jog here, be aware that the trail is pretty rocky and unforgiving if you don't have proper footwear (in some parts). If you're walking, you should be fine.

The trial is well maintained and the hike is pretty easy. The inclines/declines are not too crazy. I saw many people hiking/biking as well. Cool little spot.

There is parking room for about 10 cars here, and it's about midway between the east and west sides of the lake. Its 2.3 miles approximately to the boat launch on the west side of the lake. A nice and convenient spot to park for walking/running/biking the trail along the lake

A very pleasant place to walk. Nice views of the reservoir and surrounding hills. Some areas can be a little noisy from motor traffic on a nearby road.

Very fun trail lots or nature on both sides, it seemed like a good trail for bike as well as there were a few scattered trail bicycles out and about!!

Nice trails but is better in the morning or before sunset,, the officials’ totally messed up the view by adding all those ridiculous fences around the dam, it looks like you are looking at a jail, and β€˜Who is paying for the private security out there’” what a waste of money/ resources..

A nice location for hiking or mountain biking and to get some fresh air. The scenery is great with shade along the edge of the water. Bring water and bug spray.

Very extensive trail that connects with Jamul. Well balance up/downhill.

This is a place where you can boat, fish hike and bike around. There is a lot of graffiti on the dam and adjacent cement areas . I am still giving this area 5 stars despite the graffiti

Nice little trail overall. Off-road parking only, capacity of 7-8 cars. Best to walk away from highway as much as possible to really enjoy nature and quiet. Good for mountain bikes. There's a paved steep hill, but other than that, pretty flat after. You can also cross the highway and head to the lake. But that wasn't too enjoyable to me because of traffic noise.
