Delicious! My first time there I ordered the bruschetta Toscana to start and Spaghetti Carbonara as my entree. Definitely will visit again to try more dishes. Husband ordered rack of lamb special. Great vegan menu as well!

What a wonderful place to celebrate one of the 12 days of Christmas with my wife, a dear friend, and our service dog in training! Each of our dishes was a work of culinary art. The antipasto for two could have fed three or four. And the desserts were a great finish to time spent with loved ones.

I have traveled around the world including Italy. Because of this, I rarely find places with the same tastes and authenticity of the places I’ve visited. This is by far the best Italian restaurant I’ve been to in the states hands down. The food is delicious, very affordable, and tastes fresh. This is coming from someone who never writes reviews and is an extremely picky eater. Waiter: “Ma’am would you like a to-go box?” Me: Nope I’m gonna stuff it and and Worley about the consequences later 🤤

My wife and I were trying to find a good restaurant for late lunch and as we drove by Italianissimo Trattoria we quickly did a U-turn as we decided to give it a try. It literally has been years since we visited this restaurant and the expectation was high. We ordered pizza, lasagna and a cesar salad with shrimp plus a couple of drinks. The food was excellent and service was top notch. We will be back when in the area.

This place has an amazing menu! It's pretty big, most places only offer a few options, I really loved all the options! The place was emaculate, spotless clean. The waitress did a good job, the food tasted perfect! The portions were satisfying, the bread was soft and warm, we even enjoyed the calamari for an appetizer. This is definitely a place I would enjoy coming to again and trying some other delicious dishes. If you are in the area and want a good cup off coffee, or some authentic Italian food, this is a must try.

Really enjoyed the Lasagna and some bread. Lemon soft drink also nice. Have been craving a good Lasagna and glad I stopped. I will come back for sure to try more of the menu. One of the more serene and quiet restaurants on 3rd ave in the village. Chula Vista Village. Delicious mmmm

Really expected more from Italianisso… The food experience was nothing out of this world. Being a local spot on the heart of Downtown Chula Vista, It was highly recommended by friends. The salad was drenched with oil/ dressing, had a hard time eating it . The pizza was good, not mind blowing. Bruschetta ws fresh and flavorful. Service is really good with an excellent choice of wine to select from. I guess, I will need to give it another shot, try a different plate , to see if I can get that experience that has been described to me.

The vibe of this place was warm and inviting. Spacious linen tables makes dining feel unencumbered by other people's conversation. For appetizers our dinner party ordered Bruschetta Toscana and Portabella Mushroom Stuffed with Crab (couldn't find this on the menu). For dinner we had the Vitello Al Mascarpone, Salmone alle Noci, and Stinco D'Angello without the pasta. And for dessert we had the chocolate mousse, lemon pie, and creme brulee. From the first bite of the Bruschetta to the last bite of the dessert, it was happy dancing feet for me! I could not believe how good the food was! Italian fine dining at it's best! My mouth was doing the happy dance the whole time!!! Lol. 😁💃😋

Great food and great service! The Calzone is huge and delicious. Also recommend the soup of the day, and the pesto gnocchi!

I'm changing my review after a second year of celebrating Christmas with my two sons here. The first year it was excellent. An older Hispanic gentleman gave us an outstanding service. This year, my younger son made a reservation. We arrived minutes before. Nobody took the time to even look at us or acknowledge us. Two older ladies arrived after us and were greeted right away and asked if they had a reservation. They didn't. We finally told them that we had a reservation. At the end, the same man with glasses took our check and never even asked how everything went. Many years ago I graduated from the Hotel Management School in Geneva, Switzerland. The details make the whole difference and with that you get from good to great. Christmas 2023 we will try Little Italy. There's so many great restaurants there.

Forget the more expensive Italian places in the area. They cannot hold a candle to the decadence and authenticity of this restaurant. Every bite was a celebration of flavor and texture. They will begin by bringing warm bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The first sign of a true Italian joint. The second is the robust wine list with accompanying map to inform you of the various regions from which the wines originate. We started with the Carciofi Ripieni (fried baby artichokes, stuffed with goat cheese, herbs, and marscapone), followed by a Ravioli Funghetto (homemade mushroom ravioli in a cream sauce) and Vitello Al Mascarpone (Pan seared Veal scaloppini in a Marsala mushroom sauce with a touch of mascarpone cheese). I've never savored every bite of a meal with quite such relish. Good luck choosing between all of the amazing menu options. Did I mention they cater to vegetarians and the gluten free as well? The atmosphere was that of a family run Italian restaurant. Every member of the staff becomes a part of your experience. Looking out for empty glasses, offering more warm fresh bread, and seeking to meet your every need. The jovial Italian they exchange with each other makes the place feel like someone's home (albeit a busy one). Do yourself a favor: go and enjoy this fabulous restaurant. You will thank yourself.

I had the pasta with the mushrooms it was delicious. It was very light and didn't feel that i overate. The bread was warm and fresh, so good. My friends had the Margherita pizza that looks like just cheese pizza, they liked it. We all shared the tiramisu and they had cheesecake as well. The tiramisu was good, the cheesecake was ok, they didn't enjoy as much because it had raisins. The waitress was nice. Parking can be a challenge.

They accommodate me, my family and my dog very well! They have patio seating with cover, and when I call ahead they take time to give me comfortable seating for my family and dog, and I feel very attended to whenever we come here. Good Italian food is hard to come by, but Italianissimo Trattoria never disappoints, and knowing that my gluten-sensitive family can enjoy an expansive GF menu makes this restaurant an absolute gem. Every dish has been flavorful and brought to the table warm and in a timely manner. Italianissimo Trattoria is an absolutely pleasant city getaway without ever leaving the city, and they've made a committed returning patron of me and the fam! Their GF chocolate cake is a MUST, by the way! And their Vitello Al Mascarpone (veal pasta) is my go-to.

Amazing experience all around. The seasoning and the service were impeccable. This is an authentic Italian restaurant. One of the owners was on the floor the whole night catering to guests. The staff was friendly and attentive. And the price is very reasonable especially for the quality. I will make sure to go back whenever I’m in town again.

Love this place! Best authentic Italian food I've had in SD county. Even the most simple entrees are perfectly executed and absolutely delicious! They have plenty of vegan and gluten free options and the staff is always very friendly.

I got a tortellini with prosciutto and asked to add chicken. They forgot the prosciutto and put a total of 6 tortellini in there for almost $25 dollars. Maybe it was because it was to go? But definitely a different treatment from when you dine in. Don’t get to go. I suggest dining in not getting to go. Super sweet staff just food has been much better and more food for your money.

Had a fantastic dinner. I had Lemon chicken and my date had Veal. Both dishes were incredible. Highly recommend the house cocktail. Desserts fell a little short, but not enough to dim a wonderful experience. Wait staff was awesome. Funny, engaging and prompt.

I almost cried when eating at this place. Fresh and delicious food, very nice dessert wine and with a good company...you can't go wrong. Just make sure you have enough funds... cause it can get a bit pricey in the end.

Excellent affordable Italian cuisine, many vegan options available. Staff was very very attentive, kept pacing back and forth to our table which felt slightly rushed and uncomfortable.

My daughters and I like the restaurant. SURPRISINGLY, my girls love the bread with a little olive oil. I know I love the bread with both olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The bread has been freshly baked and perfectly crisped each time we eat here. My girls enjoy their red sauces and pasta dishes. To me they are good, but nothing special. I tried the Ravioli Funghetto and was just blown away (in a very good way) as to how delicious this meal was. The service has been excellent each time my daughters and I have gone. Overall this is a great place to go for good/great Italian food. 4 stars only because some of their red sauce pasta dishes are similar to other restaurants. The standouts are the other dishes. 5 stars for the bread and 5 stars for the service.

I love this place. It's usually quiet, the lunch menu is very reasonably priced, the staff is very friendly, and the food is amazing. I can't pronounce half the dishes but I've had the risotto dish and salmon dish, you really can't go wrong. Pair it with a nice Italian wine and relax. They bring out bread with olive oil that's delightful. Save some bread to soak up any extra sauce!

It is a nice looking place. The food was good and the place is also good too. The pizza is pretty much standard there so don't go specifically to eat pizza, I highly recommend the other things. The costumer service is good, I liked how I was treated. One bad thing is that I was put on a spot where the light it's behind the celling spinning fan, so it was is the like was flashing all the time, pretty annoying, hope they change their ventilation to an AC or something like that, that would make the experience much much better.

My family and I had dinner at Italianissimo Trattoria, the menu was wonderful and was reasonably priced. The restaurant has a great selection of wine by the glass. The service was exceptional and our waiter was so funny. The pasta was perfectly cooked (spaghetti bolognese) and the meat sauce was flavorful. When you go, be sure to get some of the freshly baked bread which is delicious. My family and I highly recommend this place.

Me and my girlfriend went here for dinner last night for our 1-year-anniversary date night. Everyone was super nice and the food was great! I had a seafood pasta and Che had and chicken dish (can’t remember the name). It was delicious. Couldn’t stop eating. And it was super reasonably priced. If you’re looking for a great Italian restaurant that’s super intimate for a great place come here!
