I needed a quick lunch when the conference I'm attending provided an undesirable vegan option. Tried the impossible BBQ noodles, which is a Bun/vermicelli noodle salad. It did not disappoint. Service was friendly and food came out fast.

We came here a few times during our stay in San Diego. We highly recommend the garlic butter fried rice, garlic noodles with shrimp, the cheese bread, cheese wontons, and the crispy rolls and don’t miss out on the lucky cold brew! Amazing service and vegan choices here.

We loved our meals! We got the Ocean Tacos and the Cha Cha Garlic Noodles. The place was super quiet and could use a sound system though. Hopefully the next visit they'll have some tunes playing. Definitely will be returning.

Loving Hut is one of my all-time favorite vegan chains and this location is no exception. The food was absolutely delicious, I have always liked everything that I have ever ordered on their menu. The Pho is amazing. I loved their spring rolls as well. The employees were very nice and helpful. If you are vegan or love pho, you have to try this place.

I have had this place on my "want to go" list for probably 5 years now after seeing a funny post from the previous owner about vegan butter at Costco. I was finally able to go this time or to San Diego and WOW! it was worth the wait. This place is AMAZING and I will be going back when I'm next in San Diego!

Loving Hut has became our family’s favorite vegan restaurant! I’ve tried many vegan restaurants in SD throughout the years but was never impressed by the quality or taste. Loving Hut has changed my mind about vegan food and how amazing it can taste. I have introduced m any my meat-loving friends here and they’re always telling me how impressed they are with the vegan dishes here. Our favorites are: - garlic noodles with cha cha shrimp - pad Thai noodles - garlic fried rice - lemongrass chicken - Thai iced tea

It is so hard to do vegan and Asian cuisine without being stuck with tofu... Loving Hut has nailed it though... Flavor's on point texture is on point. They've knocked it out of the park! The chicken substitute used on the lemongrass was incredible and maintained the Asian flavor without sacrificing texture. The fried rice, I've had vegetarian but never vegan... Again, they got the flavor and texture down solid. Now I've buried the lead. The egg rolls were unbelievable. Both the fried and the steamed are probably some of the best I've had vegan and non-vegan. (Ate them before I realized I didn't have a picture)

I adore this place! They prepare fantastic dishes, they have a nice menu, The cook in that restaurant is an expert, I like very much trying all their food. The dishes are always tasty, the attitude towards the clients is efficient. I often eat in this restaurant and I not even once was unhappy. I recommend it to all my friends.

San Diego has great vegan/vegetarian restaurants and that includes this one which is a vegan take-out and dine-in space. I had take-out today, Feb 2022 and it was really beautiful. The place isn’t bad looking, quite fresh and seems really clean. The front staff was efficient and well mannered. I would definitely go again, without hesitation. Parking was alright, I went just after lunch and found a space without trouble. Basically, it’s a parking lot shared by multiple stores and a laundromat. Enjoy if you go!

I’m so SAD!!!! Just not the same anymore after the pandemic closure ☹️ 1). service is waaay impersonal. If you’re dining in, you order your food at the counter and then sit or you can order and pay from your phone. No ones comes to check on you after you get your food. So no refills on your water. I was told it’s due to them being short staffed but as I sat and dined I noticed the restaurant was not packed and the 2 female employees were just sitting at the front counter chit chatting. They were super nice but it was annoying going the counter for sauce, napkins, straw, water, etc. when they could have easily just walked around and checked- the usually dine service Loving Hut offered. They were still super nice though. 2). The food just didn’t taste the same anymore. Lower quality, smaller portions and just looks thrown on the plate. Menu changed too and a lot of the popular items are no longer available. 3. The love was defiantly missing from everything about my dine in experience and I am heart broken. They’ve lost that magic that used to make them so special. The ambiance inside just felt like you were eating at a chain. It was HOT, didn’t feel like the AC was on. The floors were super sticky. *UPDATE response to business* I get it the pandemic hit every business hard. I was pointing out that you are paying 2 employees to sit at the counter and chit chat when you could be using them to provide the same amazing sit down dine in experience you have in the past. Adding in no AC during summer really makes your guests not want to dine in. It felt like a lot of corners were cut.

This is the best location of all the Loving Huts and we have been to so many! The food is amazing and plentiful, service is excellent. This place is not to be missed. Don’t forget to save room for their amazing desserts!

I visited the loving hut in Mira Mesa, and that location deserves 5 stars. I thought I would get the same when I came to this location, but the flavor was different. The atmosphere was nice, and the team members were nice. I just wished the flavor was as powerful as I had experienced at the Mira Mesa location.

This is one of my favorite vegan go to places. All the dishes I've had are delicious and the service impeccable. My daughter came for a visit to San Diego and she liked the Hut over all the other non vegan places I took her to! She loved it and wants to go back when she visits again.

Here’s a tip! Try their Vegan Cheesecake! It’s one of their most favorite specialty items. It is prepared fresh for them, so they may not have it in stock every day and it often runs out very fast. Friendly service and a wide selection of vegan options.

The food is great and vegan! I could never get sick of this if I ate this every single day! YUM! (My 11 yr daughter Rina said) For me, it was a bomb! I rad the royal noodle soup, it's a bit spicy and fill of flavors. Service was fast and clean restroom. Wish they have the same menu in phoenix

We got the chow mein with tofu today and added on some mock beef. The whole thing came out to about $15 and was enough to feed 2 people. We’re not even vegan and even we thought the food was delicious and filling. The mock beef tasted like real beef and even had the same texture. On top of the food being delicious and affordable, the service was also great and our food came out quickly.

Surprisingly really really good. I had the lucky mongo and cheese bread. They gotta rename some stuff though. "Veggie fillet" doesn't sound too appealing (at least to me) but it's basically teriyaki chick'n.. I loved all of it

LOVING HUT prepairs delicious vegan meals. You order from the counter and your meal is delivered to your table.* Phone orders, carryouts, and deliveries are available. The sparklingly clean North Park location is decorated mid-century modern, with a giant TV screen displaying beautiful videos of planet earth. There are comfortable tables and chairs. The menu is a mix of Asian and American entrees. I went Asian and ordered the Impossible Crispy Rolls and the Fabulous Mongolian. The deep-fried Crispy Rolls are wrapped in a paper thin crust and generously stuffed with vegetables and soy meat, served with a sweet, shredded, radish and carrot sauce. The Fabulous Mongolian is a stir-fry with soy beef, onions, peppers and bamboo. It is served with a brown (or white) rice ball. The appetizer and entree were both flavorful and filling. I completed my meal with Thai Iced Tea and a vegan, soft, Chocolate Chip cookie, covered with mini marshmallows. Parking is free. Bathrooms, located on the right, down the hallway, are ADA compatible and require a code, supplied at the order counter. *There are 200 individually owned and operated Loving Hut eateries, located in 35 countries. The vegan chain began in Taiwan. (2008)

Loving Hut is a vegan restaurant with an Asian fusion menu that features many mock meats. I ordered the impossible BBQ noodles, which is a vegan Vietnamese vermicelli salad with impossible beef strips and spring rolls. It was extremely good, but I would recommend ordering the impossible beef crispy rolls appetizer as there weren't many spring roll pieces in the noodle dish. They also have vegan marshmallow cookies!

They have several different kinds of soy-based fake meat. Service is pretty good. The eggplant tofu is delicious. I can't give it a perfect rating because I don't like fake-meat; I want vegan food that just is what it is. Still, I highly recommend this place.

Amazing food in a peaceful, home-y atmosphere. An incredible, delicious, and comfortable introduction to Vegan cuisine. Hannah the dedicated owner runs this location with her passion of introducing vegan dining and spreading awareness that food is not about the meat in a dish, but the satisfaction of the dish itself.

Great place to get some vegan food. Hadn’t been here in a year and it looks like the inside and menu have been redone. The atmosphere is clean and relaxed with light music in the background. The flavors of the food are delicious, and good sized portions. If you’re in the mood for something fresh and want to try veggie alternatives give this place a try. Good place if you want to start eating vegan or are already vegan.

Food was really good. To the girl who had to deal with the rude customer on the phone, I know how you feel. We ordered for pho thaiC chicken sandwich and lucky chowmein.. very sweet and lacked flavour. Not good for vegetarians who’ve never tried meat cause it looked too beefy and repulsive to us as 100% vegetarians. At every morsel it tasted like meat and that’s not a good idea for someone who’s never tried meat before. I wish vegan didn’t have to imitate or replicate every meaty dish.

Got some beef noodle thing which was pretty damn good, was some pretty great vegan beef. Only thing that threw me off was that this place was advertised as Saigon grill, so I was pretty confused to find out it was actually loving hut when I pulled up. Food is great though and the sauce they give you with the spring rolls is A1!!!

First time here I didn't know what to get 🙃 so I stayed safe and got the crispy rolls 😋. They are very good as well as the sauce that comes with it. I had 3 but i ate 1. Most of the food is soy based. I will try something different next time.

This is our 3rd time at this location and we're never disappointed with the food, service and atmosphere. They're quite a busy location even midday late noon to early evening. But they are quick with their service. We usually go around 1-3pm and only have to wait 10-15 minutes for our food. The impossible BBQ noodles are so good, you can't go wrong, as well at the Cha Cha fried rice, nice and spicy with delicious "shrimp". Entire place is plant based, and the joy is each loving hut has a different menu, so it's always a treat to go somewhere new. The servers are always friendly and welcoming. The place is very clean and not overly decorated which keeps it refreshing. We'll definitely be back again many more times in the future.

First of all, my order was not rite. They provided me the wrong dish. As I don't like to waste food and since everything was vegan, I didn't change it. Simply got the food they gave me. Spicy cha cha was not spicy. The vegan meat was fried using really old oil that it smelled bad, frozen peas was not cooked well. Salad had very less dressing. Overall, horrible experience. Would not recommend, it's unhealthy and waste of money

If you haven't tried Loving Hut in North Park, you are missing out! I went here today for the first time. I had been to the Mira Mesa Loving Hut but apparently they are not related. I ordered the Bean Gardein Burrito and opted for a side salad instead of fries. I also ordered the strawberry cheesecake. While I waited for my order, I tried their new Garlic Noodles and Pink Lemonade. They were both so delicious! The noodles were thick and the garlic flavor was intense without being overwhelming. The pink lemonade was sweet and satisfying. When I got home, I dove right in! The burrito is incredibly yummy - the Gardein "beef" has a sweet sauce on it that gives the burrito a delicious, slightly Asian twist. The strawberry cheesecake is TO DIE FOR! It is sweet and dense and absolutely amazing. Oh, and VEGAN! Everything is vegan! Their other dessert options are carrot cake and an incredibly decadent looking chocolate mousse cake. I will try both at a later date. To say I am elated is an understatement. The food is delicious and the dessert........ lawdy! You absolutely must try it. Even if you are not vegan. ♡

My flat iron steak dinner was served on cast iron accompanied with red smashed potatoes and sautéed green beans. The substantial scoop of garlic butter elevated this meal even though it would've satisfied without it.

The food is good, my wife did not like the service, we had to ask for things multiple times and i had to get up from our table the first time. I just had their california burrito and is over hyped is kinda plane. Needs more flavor! I like their large portions some dishes are really good though.

  • 2/5 Kristi T. 5 years ago on Google
I was so excited about this place! I ordered the drumsticks, the clay pot, and a Thai tea. The drumsticks had ZERO flavor! Instead of a thick, meaty interior, you got a drumstick shaped crunchy shell with a bit of unseasoned shredded mushrooms inside. Without the soy dipping sauce this would have been a complete fail. The clay pot was decent. Good enough that I wasn't upset that I'd ordered it, not so good that I'd order it again. The Thai tea tasted like it had been made with regular milk instead of sweetened and really fell flat. Three items, three strikes. I wouldn't go back.

My son finally convinced me to try this place out and my regret is that I didn't do it sooner! We were not disappointed by our choices; BBQ Roll (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐), Heavenly Salad (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ lives up to its name), Cha Cha Taco (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐), Carrot Cake (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐). The CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS also was the best on point! I'm new at eating here. The food is pretty good. The burger is the best vegan burger I've ever eaten. I get the steamed veggies with it. Sometimes the veggies are not all the way done and not always hot(more like warm). But do the burger you'll live it. The employees are pretty helpful and mostly nice. There is a girl who's been there a while who takes any criticism personal so be cautious. She tells you what you said instead of just listening to what your unhappy or would like to fix. Other than that I love trying the food here and recommend you try it.
