Love Black Angus steaks! They rival any high end steaks in San Diego.the sides are amazing. Garlic broccoli makes you think your not eating your veggies. The decor could use some updates.

We used to like this place before covid. Went back because a steak sounded good but paid $100 for dinner for 2 and we would have spent less at Denny’s or Applebee’s for the same steak they have. The steak was disappointing definitely nothing special compared to the steak and eggs at Denny’s. The employees seem very new and just very rushed. SAVE YOUR MONEY!

Tried their new steak and shrimp scampi and it was delicious! Great service as always! Tried the featured Crab Steak and Shrimp plate with a ribeye - it was so good!. Mark the bartender was awesome as always! Met my mom and friends for Valentine's Day. Needless to say it was crowded. They honored our reservation time. Everyone was working really hard to accommodate everyone. Our server was Alex kudos to him and the GM Zach who was really hustling. Food was good as always - best ribeye! Consistently great service and good food. I visited for BOGO - sat at the bar - Carolynn was the bartender/server. She was absolutely awesome. Great service and very friendly and accommodating.

Haven't been to a Black Angus in years and years. We actually went for lunch as we were feeling nostalgic for their garlic cheesy bread sirloin sandwich. To our disappointment BA recently removed it from their lunch menu. While we could have cobbled it together by ordering bread, steak and pico de gallo, we just went with the new menu. Our server Monica was awesome. She was super friendly, attentive and made sure we always had fresh Arnold Palmers. We were sat in the lounge which has a laid back atmosphere with plenty of TVs to watch. Though we reminisced about the vibes from previous visits to BA. Do you remember when they used to have high backed booths and small single table dining rooms? Miss that. Aside from the updated menu little has changed with the basics. They still serve warm molasses bread with salted whipped butter, complimentary of course. It's so good. Soft and pillowy, slathered in butter, it really hit the spot. Fried Zucchini was super hot, crunch and that cucumber dipping sauce, so good. For lunch I had their America's Most Wanted Burger 8oz. Certified Angus Beef Patty, panko fried American cheese patty, lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, and BA Burger Sauce, served on a buttered and toasted brioche bun. That's a mouthful and it was! It was massive! I ordered it medium and was perfectly cooked, juicy, well seasoned and stacked! I think this is only available in their day menu. Of course we had to get a Three Cheese Garlic Bread as well, why not. I don't remember it being so heavy, so was kind of over it after 1 piece. I used to eat a whole one, guess I'm getting delicate in my old age. All in all a great time! Might go back for dinner sometime in the future to try their prime rib. I love me some meat!

We had such a great experience with Black Angus for dinner. The flavor of everything was on point, and way exceeded expectations! Ana was an amazing server, our order was completely accurate, and we never had to ask for anything. Ana was on top of it! Highly recommend asking for her, and trying their new Sangria :)

Haven't been here in quite a while so we went for dinner today. We sat at the bar which was nice and they had several televisions to watch the games on. They have happy hour during the games. Our meals were very good and the price was not too bad. Both people working behind the bar were friendly and informative.

Took my wife for lunch, they open at 11am and we were there at 1105. Sat us at our table and service was great, had to wait for bread due to it was almost done baking, even better. I had a patty melt at medium doneness and my wife had a multi grain bowl with grilled chicken. We both really enjoyed a great meal and a relaxing atmosphere.

2.5.24 - 7pm Rainy day with a wonderful delicious dinner!! The steak just melted in your mouth 🤤 the baked potato had all the right fixings, the lobster very well cooked and with melted butter.. chefs kiss!! We were waited on constantly, and refills were always completed without requesting them. The restroom is nicely kept. We noticed that visiting on a Monday is your best bet to avoid crowds (like ours) . we sat down just after walking in. This restaurant, in my opinion, was more casual than I dressed up for, which i loved. If we ever visit again, I'm wearing my stretchy pants 😆

Maybe my rating isn’t accurate. We went during Hurricane Hilary. The rain leaked through the roof and right beside our table. Waited for more than 1.5hrs for the ffod. I’m sure on regular days it’s much better. In saying all that I still recommend this place!

A great steakhouse, in fact one of the best. High quality steaks, food and service. An all occasion restaurant, very clean, restrooms are immaculate. Prices are decent.

Not great. This was our first time in California and we wanted to enjoy a nice steak dinner. Don’t let the pictures online fool you, the microwaved food looks nothing like what you see online. Our meat cuts were paper-thin, full of fat, and turned out greasy. Ordered mine with fries and rice, got fries and a tough, rubbery baked potato instead. Thankfully they have real A1 sauce here to douse it down to make it relatively edible. After the meal was done, I headed to the restroom to find full and overflowing garbage. Headed back to the dated and tattered decor in the dining area to pay my $106 for some microwaved food to never be seen again. The service was good. Beer was cold. I can get hood service and beer at Applebee’s for half the price though.

It was a Friday night. Other places closed early, they were open till 10p.m. Called, put our name down and when we arrive five minutes later, we were seated. There was a singer in the bar/cocktail area (where we were seated) who was great. Happy hour was still going on. I chose the Seafood Trio (I found it online and they were serving it). Filet mignon ($5 extra), salmon and shrimp, baked potato, broccoli. Steak was delicious.

Tasty tasty food. Service was great. Only issue was the beer on tap was flat. Great steak and shrimp though!

I love this venue and we enjoyed our special occasion meal here. Just wish they would bring back the lunch menu on weekends. I ordered the jumbo shrimp meal with salad and mashed potatoes. It was yummy but the shrimp were definitely not jumbo size. The mashed potatoes were delicious as well as the green salad. Felipe, our server, was a hoot and he did an excellent job with the service throughout entire meal.

I don't usually post negative reviews about a place but this is the worst experience I've ever had at a steakhouse. We ordered the campfire feast and we order prime rib creamed spinach and mashed potatoes and such are steaks come out cold. I also got a side salad with mine and not only was the salad wilted but it was discolored. This is not the way I wanted to spend my 13 year wedding anniversary with a dirty bathroom and torn up seats and won't be coming back to this Steakhouse ever again.

My husband and I were thrilled to finally use our $100 in giftcards to Black Angus. There was a small wait upon arriving but nothing terrible. They do offer reservations thru open table. Once seated we had our order taken. I was glad to see the campfire feast was still on the menu. Two people can eat for $68 and includes an appetizer, 2 entrees, and a dessert. They also offer happy hour items. The food was delicious and everything I remembered ( I haven't been to Black Angus in years ). The service was excellent and it was nice to sit in the area where the game was playing.

The decor was great, it's right off of exit 8b on interstate 5. Plenty of parking the outside was well kept. The staff was friendly and knew there menu items.

Nice experience food was great. We went on a non busy night which is always is good because you get more attention I’ll come by again. I always go chard medium well. Well done steaks sometimes are over cooked.

We arrived early for our reservation and were seated on time as scheduled. When I made the reservation I opted in for the birthday upgrade but disappointed not received at our table. I made the reservation because of the NYE promo advertised but our server had no knowledge of it. He confirmed the promo with his manager but still did not receive all the items. Service was ok, not great. Our drinks were never refilled and we waited a long time to be asked about dessert and to get/pay the bill. Was hoping for a better experience, especially being NYE and my husband's birthday. Not worth the $160 spent.

Restaurant was clean and staff was friendly and pleasant, I'm a little disappointed with the take out servings, jumbo shrimp looks like small payed $9 and some change for 4 little tiny shrimp for my dad . The Riley didn't look very appealing either but he said it was ok. Dining in the food looms so much better. But great servixe

First time for me here and I love it. Stake was amazing, medium rare was just perfect. Mashed potato was ok. Mac&cheese so so. Shrimp cocktail was good. Sangria was really good. Overall delicious. Service by Monica was friendly and fast.

Food was very good. Our waiter was great. The only thing you need to make better are the baked potatoes. They seem to be microwaved, and not baked. They were a gummy texture. I like the ones that are crispy, with salt and oil on the skin.

Came with one other on veterans day. The wait time was an hour. We waited an hour and 45 minutes. After waiting an extra 30 minutes I asked how long the wait was for us. I was told I was next, then 7 others who came after us were seated. Asking again we were seated. Then waited 45 minutes for a server. Others who had been sat after us were already finishing their meals. Still no service. No water or apps. After going up to a server and asking to be served we learned the the host had sat us in an UN manner section. However all round us was being served. We got our order in. Got a meal to go and ordered to dine in. We both got the recommended burger. The buns were soggy and sloppy. The burger had such little flavor. That I could only finish half and had to add ketchup for some flavor. After all of this the Togo order took an extra 15 minutes. Half of the TVs were off or home screened. Bathroom was a mess. The decor makes the place feel almost like a sports Texas Roadhouse but with louder music. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. All in all this took 4 hours to be done with.

Everything was delicious, and so much food. Service was a 10+++ We had the best waiter - Felipe. He was so attentive and treated us as if we were the only customers there. He is the best. We got the 49.00 special for 2 and we'll worth it, and the service made us want to go back again. Haven't had sick great service in a long time.

I like this place because if is still good food and hasn't changed over time to try and adapt to the "new age" food. It's still a quiet and relaxing place and the food is good portioned. You can expect to pay accordingly but there's always good deals! Service was awesome and super friendly also the food did not take long. Definitely recommend the Rib eye and Mac n cheese

HORRIBLE experience. The person seating us was rude from the start when trying to give her our reservations. Online doesn't let you book for a party more then 6 but it gives the option for 10+. Then when we finally all arrived they didn't want to seat us together they sat 6 and wanted to put the other 3 on the other side of the restaurant. The whole point was for all of us to have a good father's day with my 83 yr old grandpa. It's still unbelievable how rude the seater was. Don't bother making a reservation because they will try and blame your for not booking appropriately even though they want let you online

Had a beautiful Ribeye dinner to celebrate my brothers birthday with a couple of friends. Staff was very attentive to all our needs. I recommend this place for sure.

The food was wonderful! I sat at the bar right next to where the bartender mixes when I didn't mean to but that was OK cos he made me feel right at home. He's a great bartender and waiter. I give him a 10 out of 10. The place is always clean, that night there was no wai

They know how to make a steak! Been here twice and both times we were lucky to get a great waiter. I loved their loaded potato soup and the creme brulee 😉 yummy

Steak was great and tasty. The sides were not the best tasting and little on the small size. Also, the appetizers were amazing. Drinks weren't very strong. Service was good she was very busy. But checked in regularly. Came on a Sunday around 12pm wasn't packed and had the football games on

Our server was super nice...and the ribs were decent. The ranch was the best part...that being said. The Mac and cheese was soupy and luke warm, and the mashed potatoes were very bland. Also beyond their control, there was an erratic man trying to get a table but they kept kicking him out...he may have been intoxicated. It was VERY expensive, the waiter however tried to help soften the blow by signing up for their club for a discount.

Bad service. Rarely, do I wish I could give negative stars or a zero to a restaurant. But this place! All I ordered was (1) baked potato to go. That's it. With three greeters in the lobby, finally, after waiting more than 20 minutes; I spoke up. I was given my potato shortly, but the greatest sign of disrespect? They smashed the loaded bits. The sour cream, cheese and bacon into one container like it was a parfait. I will never return to eat here again. BTW: I'm glad I know how bad they are here because I would be ashamed and embarrassed to dine here for a romantic dinner when the service is that slipshod, dismissive, and poor. I would've felt like I wasted my money. No thanks. This is SD. Plenty of good places, especially along the Embarcadero to dine out at.

Food is amazing as always been coming here for years never disappoints. Service is decent, waiters/waitresses take long to check up on you. Bar drinks are really good as well. Only complaint is rips across multiple seat booths. For it to get this bad that means establishment doesn’t care enough to see it from beginning?
