I had the chicken kabob and lemon potatoes. I wasn't too hungry so I only ate the chicken kabob and took the potatoes home. I tried my partner's lemon soup and the soup was incredible. I loved it. The chicken kabob was super flavorful and cooked nicely. The presentation was pleasantly upscaled, matching the atmosphere. My problem with the atmosphere was how cold it was when we walked in due to the large garage door being open in the front. They closed it without being asked, but it took some time to warm up. My dad was cold. It was also a tad loud inside, but I wouldn't ask them to turn the music down because it matches all the lights and the feeling of the big art pieces.

Maybe my expectations were set too high with all the 4.5 stars. But the food was okay, but the service was lacking. We were still eating out appetizers and they brought our entrees out. We did complain to the person that brought it out and she just ignored us and walked away. I could understand if they were looking to move the table but it was 3 in the afternoon and the place was half empty. Btw my wife was not impressed with her seafood dish..my chicken was okay

Fancy spot with some very tasty food. Recommend the lamb shank (if they have it) and the hummus appetizer. The best part of the gimlet was the block of cheese, the drink itself wasn't great tasting (may just be me). When I have more money I'd like to come back and try their fancier dishes.

I call it world class restaurant because of not only yummiest food selections with outstanding service but enjoying all these under the mesmerizing ambience. It's a jewel in the downtown San Diego. They do have best chef for the Greek cuisine as well as top wine selections. Also, worth noting that it is a kid friendly restaurant with lots of options for them. Parking is street side or garage nearby. Restroom is on site. Note- ask for cozy corner side with covered area if party with 10-12 people.

Wow! Came here for a work dinner and the food was delicious. Highly recommend grabbing one of their recommended cocktails and enjoying the kabobs. Plus the service is awesome. They went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and even celebrate one of our fantastic employees.

It was a too dark inside, I mean for my taste, food is good. I tried the Moussaka. Which was close to the homemade version. The béchamel sauce was too thick compared to what I am used to as a Mediterranean person. But the taste was on point. Service is amazing

We had a private dinner at Meze in a private are and it was amazing. One of the best Greek food I’ve ever eaten. We had the chance to try most of the menu from hummus, tzatziki to salmon and baklava. Everything was super tasty, hit the spot especially the dessert. Highly recommend if you are looking for a nice plan to enjoy dinner with a great staff in a well decorated restaurant.

Pretty okay, but nowhere I would return to. The meatball and the fiery feta appetizers were tasty. The cocktails were also pretty good. Unfortunately every piece of meat in the combo souvlaki was dry and bland, which is disappointing for an expensive dish. It was very busy but no one ever came to clear finished plates, making it awkward to eat around the empty appetizer plates on a small table.

Hey this was a solid lunch experience. Kind servers and prompt service. Food was fresh and warm, patio was clean! Portions are normal but there’s a ton of shareable options.

Suchhhh good food! Was seated at the bar and everyone was nice , fun and friendly. The food was a little overpriced but you’re also expected to tip of course . The interior decor was super pretty too .

Came here before a concert. This is a very convenient location that is closed to the stadium (walking distance). There are a lot of parking structures around the area as well. Our server is very attentive, friendly, and has a great sense of humor. Salute! We ordered humus and egg plant as appetizers. Humus had nothing special, but I like the flavor of the egg plant. It was perfect with the flat bread. I ordered watermelon feta salad with gyro ($12 + $6). The salad comes with watermelon, veggie, goat cheese, olive, and walnuts. The salad dressing is made with strawberry and it was leaning towards the sweet side. I like how it tasted. The salad plate was filling, especially with some protein with it. I will come back again for sure.

Service was no doubt great. They were very thoughtful for our needs - giving more bread for the kid, filling us new drink when it was spilled, and turning heater on when it got cold. Food was really good too, I love their falafel and all kinds of Greek sauce. Seafood was fresh. My family had a great time there. Love the vibe sitting outside!

Food was delicious! Giving 4 stars because my burger was a lil raw in the middle. Didn’t notice it until I had already taken a bite 🤢 Otherwise atmosphere was fantastic and what we ordered was wonderful. I didn’t get sick from the raw burger meat so that’s a win in my book.

Centrally-located within the city's touristy Gaslamp district, this Mediterranean-style food is absolutely yummy. The portions are large. Happy hour has decent prices on drinks. Parking is hard to find.

One thing I find absurd about this place is they charge credit card transaction fee. Doesn't matter you have $50 check or $100. I feel I would have added more tip to the server if the establishment wouldn't have charged the transaction fee. Have been in California for 7 years and never have came across any restaurant of this scale acting so cheap. Food is good and ambience is good as well.

Service was great. Very friendly staff. I only had one salad so hard to judge the overall food concept. Environment could have a little bit more light. Overall satisfied with the experience. I thought the salad is very heavy on cheese and walnuts. If you like that, great. I would opt for more leaves and asparagus.

We had a group of 10 people that we had reserved ahead of time. Our server was lovely, albeit a bit vacant. The appetizers were all really delicious, but it all fell apart shortly after that. I used to serve, so I’m generally quite tolerant of oversights, but our experience overall left us very…disappointed. Our reservation was for 7:00. By the time we had all arrived, it was quarter after. So if you’re generous on how long it took us to order, we ordered by 7:30. Latest. Now, 10 people is a fair number of people, but we didn’t just walk in off the street. We booked a good amount of time in advance, and the restaurant should have had enough time to make sure that they were adequately staffed for the reservation and the other tables they would have for the night. We received our appetizers quite promptly, but we didn’t receive our food until about 9:00 PM. It took literally an hour and a half to get our food from the time we ordered it. It took so long that one of our party had to leave before they even got their food in order to take care of their dog. There was even another party of 8 who ordered after us, and they were packing up their food by the time we had received ours. The server was apologetic and offered us salad while we were waiting, but by that time, we didn’t want to eat more food. We just wanted to get what we ordered and get out. I’m honestly surprised that the manager didn’t take the time to come over by that time and apologize. We got our food finally, but one member of our party didn’t even receive his order and ate the food of the person who had left because he didn’t want to wait any longer. I had ordered the lamb shank based on several reviews saying it was delightful. What I got looked like a blackened, shrivelled up piece of meat that wasn’t even hot - I think it sat under their heat lamp for maybe an hour (unfortunately it was dark in the restaurant and the photo didn’t turn out, but I’ll add it anyway). The asparagus was so so sad, not to mention there was enough rice pilaf to feed a starving family of 4, which I’m assuming was meant as an attempt to make up for the lack of quality, but just ended up being unbelievably wasteful. My final comment was the gender neutral bathroom upstairs was horrifyingly filthy. I haven’t seen a toilet that disgusting since I was in university at the dive-y bars that we used to frequent, and I spend a lot of time in the outdoors in public outhouses, which is saying a lot. There was explosive poop all over the toilet, and the rings around the water line suggested they hadn’t cleaned the thing in at least a month. Basically, I never want to go back here, and usually I tell my husband often you can’t decide if you like or dislike a place based on one experience. We’re not from san diego, so will not be back. Ever.

This place is just okay. You will be paying tourist prices and getting tourist service just by virtue of where it's at. Like most "just okay" places, some items are good and some items are not so good. For appetizers, their hummus is good, but their potatoes are literally just sitting in a butter bath. I ordered the most expensive thing which was like a meat combo plate and added on lamb chops. 50$ meal, didn't come with any pita or anything. One of the combo meats is filet mignon. I asked for it medium rare, it came out well done. When the waitress was taking my order, I had to tell her I wanted it medium-rare. I was not asked, so that should have been the first indication that cooking meat to your liking is not a priority. The rest of the food was okay. The rice was a little bit too oily but good. I lived in Downtown for 10 years and lived nearby and never been to this place. I came the other night because our work had an event downtown and this was the place chosen. It was fine because I didn't have to pay, but I won't be coming back if I'm spending money on it

A very unexpected surprise eating at this place. While they have a lot of traditional Greek fare, their fusion dishes are what you want to try. They are vegetarian friendly and I tried the quesadillas and their tacos. Yes you read that right. Both were incredibly delicious. The highlight was their bar, where they made the best Old Fashioned's that I've had.

Brought my Armenian family for a feast in the Lava room. Got the lamb chops, grilled salmon and chicken kabob with lemon zest rice/zucchini. Baklava was ok but tasted store bought. Excellent food and experience.

I stopped by this place for lunch, as I was attending a conference at the downtown convention center. The place has very cool vibe - as it is more of a fusion-oriented place than just a straight-up Greek restaurant. The service was very professional and efficient and they recommended the Avgolemono Soup as well as a Saganaki Shrimp Platter dish which were both very good. The prices were pretty reasonable, and I would definitely come back to this place to try some of their other interesting looking dishes.

Amazing experience at Meze!!! I went there for dinner, while I was in town for a work conference. The food was excellent, we had a great bottle of wine and really enjoyed the night from start to finish. Great service and ambience. I would go again!

This is by far one of the most authentic and yet unique Greek restaurants we have been to! Greek classics and some new twists, and I'm half Greek so I know the good stuff... :) Service and atmosphere were amazing too!

Service was good and the food was well priced and out of this world! This place serves astonishing. Each bite of the food sends different exciting bursts of flavors into your taste buds. Always have a great choice for vegetarians. It was a great experience- recommended.

Service was great. Our server had a tattoo on the inside of her right ear and behind her right ear... I unfortunately do not know her name but she was very attentive to our needs. The food was fresh and very tasty. We went during happy hour and the 30% off the whole menu made it very affordable. Would definitely recommend to others.

Meze has been our go-to place in post-March 2020. Even with the restrictions the place gives you a feeling of normalcy. There are a couple of tv's for sports if you get the right seat. Small, but well planned draft beer selection. And we have yet to have a dish that haven't ordered again.

Had the pleasure of having an outside dinner party here (due to COVID 19 restrictions) and I must say Pat (the owner) made sure our table/area was prepared nicely. Our waiter Andrew was very attentive, professional, and on point all night (You got all your steps in Andrew Friday😉, you Rock!!!) Hands down, the food is Awesome as well. If you're looking for a spot that can adhere to COVID restrictions while dining out visit Pat and his staff. Trust me you'll be happy you made the choice to visit Meze Greek Fusion!!!

The lamb is so tender and full of that unique goat flavor; I liked it so much I ordered two more after the first one. The falafel taco was freshly prepared, hitting my mouth piping hot and packed with some kind of acidity, so much falafel flavor and a lot of crunchy texture. The other steak and gyro tacos I ordered just didn't hit the mark in comparison. nice

It is very rare for us to return to the same restaurant two days in a row. However we made an exception with Meze Greek fusion. Their chicken wings were superb. They were very moist, tender, and delicious. Unfortunately, the chicken wings are only served occasionally. We think they should be a standard feature on the menu.

Best greasy burger joint in San Diego! Come hungry and even hungover and this place will not disappoint! Order the half rings and fries which is enough to feed a family of 4. The Guido burger comes with pastrami and is my favorite!

I was a little skeptical of this place but they had good reviews so we gave it a try. We usually don't eat beef burgers but we are on vacation so what the heck. I have to say these burgers are the best next to Guy's burgers on Carnival Cruise. The service was great and all staff that helped us was very attentive. Also my husband loved the craft beer. Will come here again.

First timer! Visiting from AZ my brother wanted to take our parents and I here and so he did. I got the veggieburger with fries (potato wedges) it was massive and I was surprised I finished it. However the taste of the patty could have been a little better. My dad though loved his burger he got the Guido Burger that had pastrami in it and he killed it. It’s safe to say we all were in food coma afterwards.

I was very disappointed this location and food & service A lot of homeless people around the restaurant Service was ok ... also they used the bad water ... Can’t afford it good filter water ???? Hamburger patty was pretty good but oily Onion ring was ok 👌 but , ranch sauce was average Price was ok ... I don’t find any awesome thing about this restaurant I am sorry .... inside of restaurant interior was pretty unique but , restroom look like dive bar (pretty scary and dirty ) Not good for family....

Its all about that thick, crispy, and heavenly bacon...its what makes Hodad's burgers one of San Diego's best. If you didn't get bacon, then you're missing the best thing about these burgers...you pretty much ruined the burger. Be sure to splurge and get the onion rings too...thick and crunchy, and you should eat more vegetables anyway.

Impossible Burgers and awesome fries. Granted, it's hip as h*ll, but don't care. It's good and they have free stickers (don't judge). The dipping sauces for fries are great. If you haven't had a proper Impossible Burger, start here. I was bummed when Sumo Dog moved out, but this is totally worth it.

Nice site for tasty burgers. I wanted to post a food pic but it looked so good I couldn't stop. The bill was fair. Food is similar to a cafe in Portland I loved.

Food was really good. Onion rings were very crunchy, just like I enjoy them. Place looks like a concert venue, which is kinda cool. Was my first time eating there. The staff all seemed like rad people

Not my kind of Burger. The meat gets cold with all the veg's , even with two patty's. Bottom bread is all cold and soggy. Over priced and over rated.

Always a solid choice. I’ve dined here several times and have always enjoyed the experience and the food. The Meze burger was overwhelming and so tasty. There are so many great looking menu options I’ll be going back for more.

Good food, but our service was less than attentive. I can't explain why, just assuming there were too many tables per server. My husband and I had a warm welcome, and received our cocktail promptly. We ordered hummus to snack on while we waited for our entree. Hummus was very good. I had lamb chops, hubbie had combo souvlaki plate..Both were very flavorful! Waited forever for our server to return so we could order wine with our entree. He checked on us near the end of our meal to see if we needed anything. Waited another length of time before he returned so we could order dessert. Had the baklava which had way too much cinnamon and not enough honey. Oh, well. The check came quickly :-\

Great ambiance and great food! Really convenient if you are at the convention center or simply wanting to try a spot in Gaslamp. The staff is pretty nice too.

The lamb chops were amazing! Even better was the lemon sauce that they were dressed in. I loved it so much I asked for a side of pita so I could sop it all up. Left a clean white plate. Prices are in-line with the area, which is high so you have to expect it, but the staff was excellent and food was delicious. I would recommend it if you are feeling Greek.

One of the best Mediterranean restaurants we've ever been to. Softest calamari ever. Definitely will save the place for our future visits. Stunning interior and atmosphere. Outstanding customer service. Great job guys.

Food was good, though the rice was a little dry in my gyro platter. But the saganaki was really good and a great shareable with a fun pyro performance! Our server was great and they were willing to work with us for separate bills.
