Really beautiful space - light, airy, inviting and fun - serving fresh and tasty food. Bowls, salads, burritos, tacos can be ordered with lots of options for ingredients, proteins to satisfy carnivores, veggies and vegans. Super pleasant staff. Order at the counter and they bring food to you, bus tables. Try Happy Hour (wine, beer, margaritas) and Taco Tuesday - they are good deals.

Just flew in from Vancouver and when I asked for healthy, tasty, and reasonable prices, this is where my hotel pointed me. Came here for lunch and got the taco special, and it was so good I came back for happy hour. So happy I did. That little feast in the picture is vegetarian goodness for 10 bucks. And the staff have all been very friendly, and Lindsay even offered me a refill of plantain chips - there’s not much more to say other than come here and enjoy - you won’t regret it.

This was the most amazing vegan meal that I have ever tasted. I met Alex (the manager) who was super friendly and explained their various healthy offerings. They make healthy food for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. This allows all types of diets to congregate in one place and enjoy great Mexican food. My wife and I tried two of their taco plates with side offerings of quinoa salad, chips & salsa, plantain chips, guacamole with pomegranate and tortilla soup. It was a feast to be enjoyed by all of the senses. The nice part about their traditional Mexican waters is that they are naturally sweetened and you can taste the fruits. Tocaya is opening a new place in the La Jolla Westfield UTC later this year. I strongly recommend eating there and pay attention to the ‘living wall’ behind the cashiers.

I usually don’t care for line order establishments but my experience here was exceptional. The food is outstanding, the menu is simple (that does not mean boring, it was easy to choose what I wanted from the menu which is a rarity given my general indecisiveness about what to eat because a lot of places over-complicate their menus). The ambiance was great, the staff was friendly. It’ll be my new go-to spot when I’m in town and stuck in the Gaslamp area and feigning for an easy, healthy, fulfilling meal at a cool spot.

not bad, but I don't like red beans with rice. I will recommend taco set. You can choose 2 kinds of tacos and 1 drink with chips. It's really worthy.

This is the second time I've eaten at Tocayo Organica and both times were great experiences! I ordered the namesake "Tocaya Salad" with the chefs choice of protein and cheese. Good size portion and the ingredients were prepared with care. The food is clean here; I feel great after eating. Very nicely done interior and it's very big with indoor, patio and elevated seating.

AMAZING! Vegan protein and cheese and crema! So many different vegan options. They have vegan street corn as well! Vegan chicken tofu and beyond meat for protein. The vegan chipotle crema is so great! They have a taco special that comes with a drink and side which is a good deal. I recommend the plantain chips! The margaritas are great and I was impressed that they use passion fruit purée for the margaritas. The chicken is very good as well! Customer service was great - friendly bartender. Great atmosphere with real plants on the walls.

Awaken your inner hipster with tofu tacos... Take an adventure down tasty tastebud lane with the cauliflower side... eat responsibly with vegan and vegetarian options. The tortilla soup is also delicious. If you want something healthy and STILL really good, this is the place.

Beautiful space, delicious food, fresh ingredients, vegan, keto and healthy options, the ambiance is gorgeous, decor too. Everything felt really well-thought through and the people are very friendly and willing to help. I had a bowl with cauliflower rice and it was yummy, just a good amount of food without overeating. I will be back.

As solid 5 stars as it gets! What a gem and creative menu. The fruit drinks (non alcoholic) were out of this world, low on sugar. The pasión fruit Margarita was a delight.

Probably the best food in downtown San Diego, a great spot for vegans and carnivores with plenty of options. They have a great ambiance that lets you really sit down relax and enjoy your food. I really recommend the fajita burrito with the vegan picadillo it’s amazing, something I’ve never had before but now I get it at all their locations with great employees that are always helpful with great personality.
