Best experience with a chile en nogada ever!!! Espectacular and delicious. Also we ordered paella that was terrific!! Romesco is the best restaurant in Chula Vista

The Original Caesar Salad was made in TJ and this are the same owners! It's the next best thing! Amazing food North of the Border!

Don't let this shopping center local fool you, this place takes you back to Spain with its decor, wait staff and tapas menu. They do happy hour on drinks and tapas during the week. Our waiter/bar tender was so kind and helpful. The food was delish! We will def be back

The food is good, now, why is it good? I didn't ask for their light menú. Do they have one? Ask them. The dessert, drinks, mysic, and DJ were all good.

This place never dissapoints and the service is always on point. This evening I ordered a tamarindo martini and the short rib risotto, which was delicious. Some other dishes my party ordered were fried calamari, tacos gobernador and the arrachera and everyone enjoyed their meal and we finished the night with churros.

I was in the back bar and saw a man preparing the salads as he was making the cesar salads he was grabbing pieces of the salad bowl that was for a customer and eating it with his bare hands. I can see if he was taste testing it but he could of served it in a plate but he kept eating.No gloves! More than once! He also squeegeed the left over dressing from the salad tongs with the hand that was in his mouth. Then a waiter comes in after that man and served some salad on a plate and helped himself from the plate as well. Management really has to retrain their personnel. First time there and Definitely will not be eating there anytime in the near future.

It was incredible! We had tomato soup, lamb, Alfredo and dessert. Dessert (caramel crepe and tiramisu) was not that great but everything we ordered was delicious! If you like Clamato try the one here! I’ve had so many in Mexico City but this it was the best I’ve had! We ordered without alcohol. The waiter was very kind and responsive. The ambiance is a bit dark, very beautiful and decorated so well! My husband comes here a lot with his dad and was happy to finally make it!

I will start this review saying that, a waiter hit me with the folding table, it was terrible. I turned around after trying to catch my breath "you hit me with the table" the waiter didn't even say anything and talked to the back. This happened at the end of our meal and I told our waiter who I had to call over. He was very nice and apologetic, he had the manager come over to talk to me but I was so overwhelmed, that I couldn't talk and wanted to leave. She gave me her card, I will be reaching out to her and telling her exactly what happened. My coworkers and I had our Christmas gathering. The food was Fantastic, very fresh and well cooked. The service was terrible, our waiter took 30 min before he came to our table, to get our order. We ordered bread and water, we waited another 30 min for that. I know the restaurant was super busy but the level of service should accommodate larger parties. Romescos is a great place for tapas and a drink but for large parties, it's a Disaster. I will not recommend this restaurant anymore. Don't go if you're hungry, it took us an hour and 15 minutes to get our food. Very disappointing!!!!

Romesco's is a fusion eatery of Mexican and Italian. If you are a traditional and prescribed eater, you may not fare well here. If you enjoy a palette of medleys then you will find Romesco's concoctions to be curious. The Caeser salad is authentic with anchovy flavor and is a "must have." Ambience, service and food is well-regarded. Prices are expensive and perhaps a luxury dining experience should be explored instead. The 🦞 ravioli was delicious and plentiful. Friendly libation portions. Food portion size was favorable.

First time here, and the entire atmosphere was great. The food and wait staff are above reproach. I enthusiastically recommend this restaurant to you and yours. Like me, with safety in mind, the outside seating is perfect.

The small plates were Delicious but the service is a big fiasco at Romesco. We waited way too long for a glass of wine way too long for a salad and then we were served the wrong items, items missing and food was served that we did not order. Salmon was dry and overpriced. also our bill was not correct, it was not a pleasant experience it's a shame. The fettuccine was missing the chicken and had to go back to the kitchen.We were all looking forward to eating there. The small plates were nice but again we were brought the wrong orders and it took an eternity.

Food is ok. Staff is not overly friendly, but welcoming. Service was slow, price for brunch was $27.. I think the brunch is overpriced. Some of the food was fresh and tasty, others were stale and flavorless..I wont be going back any time soon . The best item was the smoked fish . The worst was the dry chilaquiles and the scrambled eggs that were almost crunchy on the edges.

Food was really good. Had the shrimp Alfredo with a side of caesar salad which was very good. The tamarindo margarita hit the spot. It was a bit crowded and loud which I didn't really like, we were sat in the back in a small table with hardly any room. But other than that, the food was great, the server was nice and I would go back. Made a reservation and was quickly seated, so I liked I could do that in advance.

The service is great. I have been there twice, but both times, the food was only alright to me, but my wife thought it was mediocre. I would still go again to try out different foods. You really go for there for the fine dining atmosphere. It seems to have a lot of regulars, so maybe they know something I don't.

Went to Romesco’s for an early dinner with my wife and 1 year old daughter. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our server Moses was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He walked us through the menu and made some recommendations. We ordered a bunch of tapas and some drinks. We will definitely be back because everything was delicious. The Caesar salad was amazing as well as the octopus and mushrooms in garlic butter. I highly recommend

This place does not fail. I've been coming here for years and have come to realize that consistency is key. If you go to any of the Plascencia family restaurants you will be treated like a VIP. You will be given the highest caliber service found in the finest establishments. The best quality ingredients used to create the most unique recipes in a category of their own. That category is known as Baja Med. Something distinctive to our region. That region is from Baja California to San Diego. I just wish my old eyes were able to overcome the bad/low lighting so I could read the menu without turning on my phone flashlight. Other than that do not miss your opportunity to eat at this fine restaurant

Awesome food options! As a guest of friends who have gone before, I tried something out of the normal faire-Short Ribs small plate with a Greek Salad! Excellent choices! Greek Salad was fabulous & short ribs tasty! Service was great! A little on the noisy side,so be prepared!

Thought they had Happy Hour until 9PM per the website but we just missed it; ended at 7PM. Food was good, music great, saw the band Planatarious.

I was a little disappointed, we came for dinner. The greeting was very nice. Once the server came he asked what to drink. We ordered the dinks and it took them a while to get to us. It was only 3 of us and one was a child. Finally we got our drink, we ordered and it took them more time. There were other people who got attended better and were given bread. We WERE NOT given any bread while we waited. Once he seen we were done he said oh I’ll go get you a box for your leftovers. Forgetting to get my daughter ice cream. We were not even asked if he wanted dessert or coffee or anything else. Very Disappointed 😢 Failed to mention the mushrooms were watery not sautéed at all no seasoning. ALSO if you are NOT a REGULAR you will not be attended the the RICH MEXICANS.

Hands down best sit-down restaurant in San Diego. Best Tapas of my life (trust me Ive been to Barcelona). We had the short rib tacos, dumplings, bone marrows, lamb chops. Everything was excellent.

Our waiter was very nice and I enjoyed my mango margarita. The reason I gave only 1 star was that we went for the purpose of trying different tapas that fit under the happy hour menu. After we asked for the bill, our tapas that we chose that stated (happy hour/HH), were not 50% but full price. Our waiter failed to mention that you have to be in the bar in order to order the happy hour tapas or else it's full price. If we were told that we would have moved to the bar or decided on other tapas that we wanted to pay full price for.

Great place to take your special someone on a date when you have some extra cash to spend! Amazing service and exceptional quality of food. The main dishes are very large and can easily feed two ( Depending on appetite). You can't go wrong with the happy hour either. The tapas are a mix of Mexican and Spanish dishes. If you like having authentic Spanish croquetas de jamon, not chicken, this is the place to go. I've gone here multiple times and I have never been disappointed. The waiters pay great attention to detail and always get the orders right. Only down side is that it is always busy. Reservations are recommended! Love this place! They have delicacies like Mexican style bone marrow, Lengua, and Chile en Nogada. The Grilled Octopus is awesome as well. Fantastic menu choices bringing some of the best food from Mexico! Prices may seem high but after you taste the quality ingredients, you'll see why it's worth it.

I thought that the service could be a little better. I had to ask the waiter five times to get me a high chair for my baby. The food was not what I expected for the price. I am not a big fan of getting my food cold after waiting 35-40 min for it. How ever the place is pretty clean

This place is a gem! All the food items we tried were delicious! We tried both cold and hot tapas plates. The calamari was the best I have ever tried and the batter they used was very tasty and cooked just right. We also had an amazing meatball dish. The craft cocktails we tried were very well done. Great service! Additionally, the workers seemed happy and you could see they all got along very well and this always indicates good management.

Horrible service waited more than 30min and waiters pass and they where more worrie about cleaning tables , than helping customers

Great food, service, ambiance, and no wait to be seated either. Clean place with an upscale feel to it with the owner walking around chatting with guests. Staff is dressed professionally and polite. Drinks were best I have had in the area and the tapas were unique too!

We came in and there wasn’t a lot of people dining but they stacked us right next to other groups like sardines despite the amount of open tables. The food took a while to get to us and was pretty good. The temperature of some of the food was lukewarm which was a little disappointing.
