Although this place is very busy at this time, we actually able to secure a nice table inside at a very reasonable time. The host was very nice and professional. The food was exceptional. We will definitely coming back.

Super popular casual seafood dining spot. I have been here multiple times, but finally had time to do a review. Shrimp with chipotle sauce is flavorful, spicy and not overpowering awesomely delicious. The tuna carnitas is smoked ahi tuna and packed a lot of subtle flavor needless to say i plowed through this meal. Dine in or take out a can't miss solid seafood delight.

These people know how to cook shrimp & octopus! They don’t do as well with aguachile 🤔 but all the cooked stuff was ON POINT the tiny little salsas they bring are cute but I always need to ask for more because they are DELICIOUS and their tostadas are so thin and crunchy.

Great place for brunch! My sister and I came here on our birthday and had a great time. Our server was really awesome, the food was great and the larger restaurant was a nice location. We ordered: fish chicharron, tacos 🌮 (oyster, smoked tuna, octopus, shrimp and stingray) and the soup broth. The mojitos were made with a vodka wine instead of rum, so be prepared for something different. The Pina coladas are tasty🍹

The oysters were good just kind of small. The smoked tuna tacos are great though! The seafood quesadilla was underwhelming and disappointing. I wasn’t a fan of the way the cheese melted, it was overpowering and kind of made up for the lack of seafood in the quesadilla. It’s hard to fully explain it though. The rice is amazing!

Good food, super fast service. Got here at around 5pm on a Saturday. Had a michelada with Clamato, cucumber margarita, campechana, aguachiles, and octopus taco (forgot to take picture). $58 tax included.

This place was amazing. Out of towners but we wanted to find the best seafood and I think we found it. The fish is fresh and the oysters are delicious! A must eat if you are in SD

The Cucumber Margarita was delicious and refreshing. There are many choices of Ceviche to choose from. With multiple choices of hot sauce to add to your tostada ceviche. I had the French fries with shrimp, melted cheese and chipotle sauce. Soooo yummy. Definitely worth trying. The service was good. The restaurant is clean. I will definitely be back.

The food was good and the drinks were decent. We were checked on by multiple staff members, which I appreciated. It was too busy so there were different seating options. We ordered the shrimp cucarachas, tuna fries, and a mix of shrimp tacos. The tuna fries were delicious. I usually go to the smaller location but this one was a good choice.

Came here for some great seafood. Smoked tuna with cheese taco used to be my favorite, but tried the smoke tuna fries and now ill be coming back for that! Be sure to wash it down with a Tamarindo michelada!

No dog policy. We sat outside and that was fine! Comes with basket of chips and 3 sauces to try. Nice snack! Tacos are small!

The food is very good, the fish tacos, wow... spectacular...!, if you are very hungry, don't despair, they take a while to serve.

TJ Oyster Bar is a hole in the wall eatery with indoor and outdoor seating. I come to the area almost monthly and this place is on my list of venues to eat at each time! True to the “hole in the wall” concept - smaller space but GREAT FOOD! Nice bar, friendly staff, and did I say Great food? Today had the chipotle shrimp fries and chipotle tacos! The food is abundant so you likely need less than you usually eat. Everything comes out fresh and fast so order a taco or two less and then order more. Try them all from stingray to gosh to octopus. Beautiful decor. Will return of course. JB Recommended!

TJ Oyster is one of the smallest taco bears in Bonita and I hope it never changes. Food is cooked right in front of you and is fresh! My favorites are any of their tacos, I've tried the majority of them... shrimp ceviche is BOMB, their happy hour is off the hook! And the smoked tuna fries are pretty impressive. I've taken quite a few people to my little spot and now they are hooked too! I frequent this place and also, my son requested fish tacos for his covid-19 birthday tomorrow. I love this place!

They have really good sea food. The place is very nice all up to date modern rustic decor which make it so inviting to enjoy being there. The server are very nice and friendly.

Get the SMOKED TUNA FRIES! It’s been about 5 years since I’ve been here. I moved out of the area but we went tonight and it was as AMAZING as I remembered! We also ordered the ceviche which was also fantastic especially if you love cilantro! Tacos were good too but seriously the smoked tuna fries are IT! We did order them asking for no salt on the fries and it was perfect! Definitely not waiting another 5 years to go again! Worth the drive. Service was outstanding and the food came so fast!! Highly recommend!!

Our large family group was seated outside at our request, on one of the rare rainy days in San Diego. The staff turned on the heaters and seated us well under the patio covers so we could be more comfortable. The shrimps were delectable and my salmon was prepared the way I would have liked it, succulent in a Mediterranean style with peppers and olive oil and tomatoes. Salads were generous portions and even the calamari was nice and melt in your mouth tender, my husband's favorite. Come get some great seafood if you're in the Chula Vista area.

First time here and it was great. We had fish tacos and ceviche and they were both excellent. Servers were very friendly. Casual atmosphere. We sat outside and we're very comfortable with the space heaters even though it was cooling off.

This is my go-to place in the South Bay when I’m looking for both delicious mariscos AND good vibes. In other words, the food is great while also having nice atmosphere. They’ve got great happy hours deals, excellent margaritas, and they’re one of the few places to consistently have a few Baja craft beers on draft. (If you’re into IPAs, you’ve got to get a pint of Lupulosa.) The service is friendly, the food comes out fast, and it’s great.

The word for this place is FRESH. Everything you tasted feels so fresh and good. Service is excellent. Worth it for drive the extra mile to try it.

They truly care about ALL their customers. I'm allergic to gluten and called ahead to check ingredients on the aguachile, they informed me that they could make it without Worcestershire & Soy sauce to accommodate my dietary needs. When we got seated, the server had already been notified of my allergy by the host. I felt right at home. We ended up getting the salsa verde Aguachile without the gluten, as well as the Ahi tuna appetizer without the fried onions and marinade of course. Even without the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce and marinade, it was bomb 🔥 Definitely recommended!

Tacos are really good. Try the octopus taco. The fries with tuna are great. Honestly some of the best mariscos tacos in San Diego. The prices were a bit high but the food is good. The appetizers are good too. Look at the portion size in comparison to the menu prices. Still a great seafood option in San Diego

This place is by far one of the BEST places to get great seafood. The ceviche, the shrimp cocktails everything you order is fresh and great taste. Been coming here for a long time.

So I tried the SMOKED TUNA FRIES today, they were better than advertised. Had half serving size and that was enough for 2. This place keeps delivering gems.
