The drinks are good. The bartender was nice. The people were chill. The security guard was awesome. The DJ? Not so much. Dude, get a clue. If no one is dancing, it is because they don't like the music. For the longest time, it was just us two dancing. We put a request and he didn't play it...like he was on a little power trip. I'm going home to play the song I requested and dance to it! 😁

Welcome vibe for all in a no-nonsense watering hole. TV'S tuned to sports, good sized bar, many tables, all w large stage for live music. A neighborhood institution for many years.

A little rough on the edges, utilitarian and simple but a good place to go out with friends or catch up with old ones and have a couple of drinks. Bartenders were very receptive and attentive, prices were also very reasonable. Bathrooms are beyond dirty and the halls are a little bit too narrow. I also thought the metal detector at the door was a little sketchy.

I NEVER BEEN BEFORE !! I was paid to say anything postive by the owners in Chula Vista on this format !! Is that normal ....??? ( I always keep my promice ...just why they have to pay off random people to make them look better what they really are !! Sleazy & I wash my hands off it !!!!

Do not go here. Security and bartenders are not vigilant and the owner doesn't do anything to protect the safety of their customers. They continue to serve drunk customers and when they finally do kick them out. They let them hang around outside instead of calling the police when the customers are victims of violence. The security is useless. People leaving the bar to go home get harassed and beat up by the same drunk customers that were kicked out. It's happened twice in the last 5 months. This place is not worth getting beat up for. There are better bars in downtown Chula Vista.

I have been coming here for the last 9 months and this place is truly a old school dive bar gem. The bartenders are awesome and recently met the owners who are down to earth. The bartenders are cool and it's a great place to chill during the week or dance at night. Not for someone who wants everything new and flashy.

Great selection of beers and spirits, a very visited bar and a local of Chula Vista, you can always count with a very fun crowd to be in there on a saturday night. Good size dance floor with many people to dance with and also the staff is very nice and friendly. Good people and good drinks that's the soul of the Silver Dollar.

My boi jose likes to hit up this spot for the cheap tall cans, entertainment, and loose women. Of course, he brings the worst out in people/places, so this place is actually not that bad (at least when he's not around). Really friendly staff and great location.

i love this place! staff is amazing! love the bartenders and security. ashley, who leads karaoke, is amazing, but her fill in (whose name I'm not sure of) has been incredibly rude to my friends and I the few times hes been here. place could use some sprucing up to the walls, tables, etc. OVERALL my favorite place to hit up!

good music, they bring in bands from out of town. Loved the Mac Band. and lots of liquor😊💋

Service was alittle slow but the bartender was really nice.

I like the service and all . Music is good . Only downfall is that some of the bartenders Don’t know how to make mix drinks. Just go do the regular beer

I love coming here on the weekdays. The bartenders are some of the best, great conversations and fun all around. The drinks they make are great. I come here to play pool and sometimes some bingo. On the weekends it gets very packed here! It turns into a small club as they have a dance floor. I've been going here since I turned 21 and love it.

Place is trash.. they dont let people in after people leave.. trash
