This place had really good Mexican Food! Huge portions and lots of flavor. The prices were really good, everything was about $15 bucks a plate.

Clean place, mice decor, good ambiance, happy hour is ok, food is tasty, salsa is hot and tasty, meat was fresh and tender, I wish I could get more than 3 tortillas per plate, toilets are super clean waitress and hostes are preetty and presentable, I would return.

My wife and I visited La Quinta Grill on a Sunday for dinner. I had the carne asada plate and my wife some menudo. The menudo was great while the carne asada was only good nothing special. One thing that they need improvement on is service. When we finished our dinner we asked multiple waiters for our check as we had to leave in a hurry and everybody kept on saying yes we will bring it in a second but just forgot about us every time. I had to get up and ask the lady up front by the door for our check because everybody chose to ignore us. Hope they improve on this. Minus 2 stars for service. We will be back and hope our experience is better.

The food was great. Upon arriving we saw the sign about masks and we asked if we can please get a disposable one. The gentleman stated we need one to come in and they didn’t have any to give. My husband ran to the the car in the rain to get one. The entire staff walks around with the mask under their nose. To add to this the people after my family were seated without being asked to get a mask. The kitchen staff would come out without mask. In conclusion the two sided rule with the mask turned me off. Oh and the waitress was not friendly sorry. Get it together.

We ate two carne asada plates, they had rice and beans, with quacamole. Place was clean and fresh smelling. lots of parking. was seated right away, served quickly. We were really full and nothing left on the plate. good for the palate. Good food and won't make you break the peggy bank. :)

Honestly, we probably wouldn't have stopped there in looking for a place to eat. Its an old building. However, we were very happy we did. Very clean inside. Wait help was quick and friendly. Absolutely wonderful chips and salsa! Lunch was delicious and generous. We will definitely coming back!

It took them a while to take the order, but everything was excellent, very good service and very good flavor, we will definitely go again.

This place is horrible! The food was horrible! The portions were little. The tortilla chips were stale. It turned out to be a blessing on the small portions because the food was bad. I was burping bad throughout my golf game when I was walking the course after this bad meal. I couldn't put a finger on what was bad. Possibly the everything!I won't be returning that's for sure.

This was our first time. We loved our waitress.. he name is Isela😊 The food not so much.. the atmosphere is good.. not particularly my type, but my niece loved it😁 overall I think the food could definitely be better. At least what we ordered.. the drinks were on point 👌

Me and my family have been customers for more than 10 years. It is my favorite Mexican food restaurant. Every plate was so delicious. Until last week and tonight we dine in and the food was not the same the Aguachile plate had no flavor, the chiles rellenos plate was served with the guajillo sauce instead of the tomato classic sauce. I hope this will bring the attention needed to go back to the original delicious food it was always served.

Surprised at how good the food is. Nice verity of Mexican cuisine. A bit busy but the server was still attentive. Never had to ask for drink refill, cup was always kept full. Prices are reasonable even with the current state of inflation.

The margaritas are good. The food is just ok. One of our orders was grilled fish and they gave us breaded fried fish. When we told the waiter he said their grilled fish is all lightly breaded so as not to stick to the grill....🤔...really? I think not. We asked to speak to the manager but he never came. My friend still ate it because she was hungry and didn't want to wait for the situation to be remedied. The carne en su jugo was ok and the shrimp chimichanga was good.

Mole was good, but the chicken was processed, frozen,and tasteless, and side of rice, and salad were very tiny.Also skinny margarita was too small , and not that good for the price.

My first time eating here. I ordered the mojarra plate. With a lemon drop. Fish was cooked perfect. Lemon drop was mixed great. Will definitely give another try.

First off there isn’t an option for rating the restaurant overall. The parking is restricted but the do have a elementary school next door they say you can park at. This restaurant is very expensive for Mexican food ( think old town) I had a surf and tuff burrito for $17 and it didn’t come with rice and beans that was $5 extra. My wife had an enchilada and tostada and they literally had a table spoon of beans spread thinly on the tortilla. When my wife and I arrived we could hear a mariachi band playing inside which we thought was a nice touch. We were seated four feet in front of the band and the dining room was 40’X40’ and crowded the band was playing at full volume I couldn’t even speak to my wife and we were relieved when they finally took a break. The other people in the restaurant enjoy the mariachi band very much and the band was very talented probably the best I have heard but way to loud for such a small room. My rating for the restaurant is food excellent but over price, staff friendly and the band was inconsiderate playing like they were at the Del Mar race track I felt like I was getting ear damage. . Our bill was $46 and we left a $9 tip making the total $55.55 which I regret.

Our waitress was no where to be found and took forever to take our order, we actually had to call a different waiter to ask if he can take our order and thats when he called her.she wasn't very verbal at all.The older woman that brought the chips and salsa is a great worker you should change her position. When we requested our bill,, the waitress we had crossed out with pen the balance by hand and wrote the new balance in writing to include the 18%tip. I questioned her on to why the receipt was crossed out in pen and had a new balance, she specified that it was company policy to automatically add the gratuity because there was 6 of us. I completely understand, what I think needs to happen is La Quinta needs to improve their receipts and state the policy because then when she printedthe receiptfor me to sign, it had the tip line on there, it'sdefinitelymisleading when you scratch off the balance and handwritten the new balance reflecting the new total to include the tip. Her service was horrible and I would of rather the lady assisting would of received the tip. We have always enjoyed the food and ambient at La Quinta. Our service yesterday was just not the best.

The food is good, the service however is not. A cockroach fell from the cieling on our table after we had finished our appetizer and service declined from there. They moved us table but no one offered anything to compensate. The restaurant was pretty empty with only two other tables being occupied and we had 5 empty drinks on the table for half an hour with no one coming by to check on us. I finally went to go look for our server (who we hadn't seen since she dropped off our drinks, she never came back and we had 2 different people come by after, one to take our food and the other for additional drinks) they finally sent it over and charged us for the whole ticket. Even after I complained about the situation not a single person apologized for the incident or the service.

In the South of San Diego this restaurant has really great Mexican food. Locals go there. Ambiance is ok. But a little bit dark.

We've been here twice this month, both times because there was no wait time for a table and it was a Saturday morning. The food is decent and has a variety to choose from including an American style breakfast with pancakes. Service was ok on the first visit and not so much on the second one. I guess service is hit or miss depending on who you get. Had to wait for awhile the second time for our bill. There were some simple errors in our orders like sunny side up eggs instead of over medium, Breakfast potatoes instead of fries, also found it odd to have a spinach omelette with the raw spinach on top instead of mixed in with the cheese, but it was still good. Atmosphere is loud and kinda dark but not bad. Just prefer servers to be a bit friendlier and attentive

They had a live band playing when I visited. The food was tasty and the bartender made some really refreshing mixed drinks lol it got a little too loud after a while with the band though. I got the carne asada tacos.

I came here for a birthday lunch and it was amazing! Service was excellent and the food was so delicious! I wasn’t able to eat anything but chicken broth but my friends told me the food was great and it looked and smelled amazing!

Food was tasty and big portions. Service was decent. The drinks are watered down. Very comfortable air-conditioned dining area. The parking area is limited, and spaces are small.

Everything we come to eat is a pleasant experience. Service is great and the food Excellent! We definitely will keep coming to this place as one of our faves. I greatly recommend this place for a quick lunch, a nice dinner or a succulent supper. You will not be disappointed and anything that you picked from the Manu will be satisfying your palate. This is a promised.

I went for lunch. My enchiladas were good, but one of my coworkers ordered tacos, and they looked pretty dry and not appetizing. Service was quick and good. Decent place for a quick lunch.

La Quinta has a great atmosphere, and the food is delicious. I've been coming here for years. However, their prices have increased significantly. For example, two pollo asado tacos now cost $14, and it's another $5 if you want a side of rice and beans; you can get something of near equal quality at a taco shop for a fraction of the price. I also feel that the quality of their workers has significantly decreased. I've walked in on a few occasions, only to wait a minute or two to just be acknowledged by the hostesses, who prefer to use their phones or chat with their coworkers instead. My advice to management is: ensure your prices are reasonable, and that your staff is always courteous and professional.

Very good restaurant to have dinner no problem with parking prices are accessible good drinks they have a bar and karaoke nights, this was our 3 time visiting this place unfortunately this time we hade to wait for a long time for our second drinks but I think they didn't have enough personnel for all the people at the time so we understood But the food was great Very recommended...

Good food but service was horrible waiter was barley there had to keep asking for drinks then to get the bill had to ask another waiter that was working harder then my waiter when I went to pay I found my waiter hiding out behind the cashier on her phone 0 dollars tip for her opps

I can't say too much regarding the atmosphere, as I haven't sat down to eat there. I always order take out however, as I sit and wait, the music is always very loud. I am not a fan of loud mariachi as I'm trying to eat and/or have a conversation, but even so, it is a very popular place. Seems others really like the loud music. Their food is delicious though. I eat lunch in my car as there is usually not a microwave available at my jobs. I usually order ceviche, which is sooo good! But, it seems that different chefs have different styles. Sometimes I get a good sized serving, and other times a very measly portion. One time they covered my cup with a tostada, not a cover! WTH, it was a to-go order! But, I keep going back because the front desk people are polite and nice, and I'm hooked on their ceviche. I've also ordered carne asada from there and it is also delicious. Another note, avoid calling in your orders. The phone line is horrible! It's noisy and the volume is very low, and with the loud music, they can't hear you! 😂😂😂 So, I started just walking in to order and just wait there to receive it.

Food is good, but not hot like off the stove.. But it was good. Service was good. I liked the Flautas plate, Taquitos.. only wished the beans were hot and not warm.. otherwise they'd get 5 Stars

I was skeptical at first because the restaurant looks dark from outside. The fish was a little over cooked but still pleasant to eat. It has a nice balance of seasoning and fits nice with the rice. I don't care for thousand island dressing so that's no fault to the restaurant. The veggies were a tiny bit bland, and tasted off to me, but I'm over all satisfied with the dish. If anything I would suggest dressing options upon ordering. Other than that, it's a good place for a quick lunch. Service was faster than most places I eat at so bravo. ☺

First time, got the Suizas Burrito, chicken was dry and didn't taste freshly cooked. At best it tasted like the chicken was frozen, cooked, then recooked for my order. The burrito tasted ok otherwise, but the overall flavor will not have me returning ever again, don't recommend.

Margaritas were great , but chips were stale (they replaced them),shrimp were overcooked, and refritos were dry. Still a 4 overall but not the quality we expected.

I like their food; they have an excellent service. And I enjoy the music.

Favorite Mexican restaurant!! They have delicious plates and good drinks. they also have a bar, shows and karaoke days.
