We loved it. The pizza is thin crust with a fabulous smoky, fired pizza crust. All of the ingredients taste super clean and FRESH. We had a pizza with prosciutto and one with sausage and one with a pesto sauce which all three were super delicious! The salads, one Caesar and one greens were excellent, and The Belgian hand cut Fries are UNEQUALED: piping hot perfect salt perfection. Great beer to be had. Awesome team people! Order at counter, and take number to your table and food comes out quickly!! Since no waitstaff, per se, PLEASE REMEMBER TO STILL TIP AT PAYMENT! These restaurant team people well earn that tip. Very caring, patient people work there!

They always have a great beer selection with a lot of variety, always 20+ craft beers on tap with 3-4 hazy options. The pizza is well made and delicious and the Caesar salad is wonderful with fresh Parmesan shavings and toasty bread. Comedy night on Sunday was a good time! There are a lot of cool photos and decorative items around the place. Been here many times and Blind Lady never disappoints.

Unexpected evening plans turnt into an incredible Thursday night. Talented jazz musicians made the experience beyond amazing- i was dancing on my chair n jamming along with the band. Super creative environment + exquisite appetizers and pizza. This is the spot for people with higher musical taste and unique-pizza lovers 👅 👏🏽👏🏽🍕 I will 100% be back for jazz & food, it reminds me of my life in Brooklyn. A must visit-

Great pizzas, friendly staff, fantastic ambiance, and a fat stack of beers on tap. Can’t ask for more. Five stars. 🤘🏼

We had a team dinner at here and tried out some different types of pizzas. I really like the atmosphere at this place, so fun and their pizzas are delicious. My favorite is the mushroom one. Their pizza crust is thin and fluffy, it’s more like a Italian style pizza, also a little bit like New York Style as well. Their beers are tasty. It’s a very cute spot for friends gathering.

Being German, I asked for brats & sauerkraut while visiting San Diego and had the pleasure of enjoying lunch with an ompa band while enjoying an amazing Oktoberfest plate & beer. Highly recommend the Blind Lady and their wonderful food & staff!

Pleasantly surprised at how awesome a find this establishment was. I like the idea of ordering at two separate counters (one side for beer, one for food) to help the lines move faster. The beers on draft are all local varieties but are of a wide range of styles. The pizza pictured on my feed was actually quite delicious, but specifically the pepperoni slices which had the best seasoning and spice level. I think I’m going back to ask where they procure that meat from! Amazing atmosphere and fun staff, it is a slam dunk.

Went on a Saturday night. They weren’t that busy but our little pizza took forever because they burned the first one. We weren’t accommodated for it but I appreciate the waitress’s honesty. It has really nice vibe and good place to hangout with friends. Have a great selection of beer. However, the pizza wasn’t impressive. I would come back to give their pizza another chance.

This is without a doubt the best ale house in San Diego. Always featuring a fabulous rotating selection of local and near-local beers, while also serving some of the best and most innovative pizzas anywhere in the city.. My only complaint is that they don’t open before 5pm most weekdays.. although do take advantage of their Friday $6 beers from 12p-6p.

This might be the BEST, FRESHEST pizza that I've ever had! A MUST when in Normal Heights, San Diego! We got Chicken Pesto Pizza and Burrata Tomato Pizza.

We ordered one of the house chorizo and egg & bacon pizzas. Egg and bacon pizza sounds weird, but it's so delicious. There's a beer, I don't remember the name, but it tastes like caramel. I loved this place.

Pizza was good, great beer selection, it was extremely loud, hard to conversate. And busy! But for 6 people we were able to get a table in 10 mins. We got the pepperoni, Margherita, and salami. Salami was our favorite!

Local pub atmosphere with extensive drink menu and many food choices. Back room provides an entertainment area for live music and comedy.

Blind Lady Ale House (BLAH) had one of the most unexpectedly good pizzas I've had. Spicy salami, sheep's cheese, and hot chili oil. Their beer selection is always fun as well.

Came here on a Friday night and was surprised to get a table right away. The menu was again surprisingly good for a beer spot. Everything we got was great : Mussels, broccolini, pizzas, salad. All was really good and great to share . Would love to come back and try more foods and beer

I can't believe San Diego has such delicious pizza. I have so many favorites from my short time living here now I just don't know. The pizza here was absolutely delicious. Also had the mussels. They were plentiful just wish the bread had been softer. Definitely looking forward to coming back.

Service was great. The pariah beer was delicious. The artichoke pizza (vegan) was pretty good; almond ricotta was a total highlight! Also, they have both indoor and outdoor seating. Would totally go back.

Great pizza and beer selection. Was surprised with how good the Ernesto fries (I think that was the name) were. They also had a jam sesh going on with chill jazz/rock rifts and music playing.

Surprisingly enjoyed going here for dinner. Good selection of beers, decent pizza (very good pizza), staff was great overall, and good vibe all around. In my personal opinion, pizza place with no garlic bread... come on!!! Also, very limited options for non- alcoholic beverages (at least tonight). Almost a 5 star, but definitely worth visiting if you are in the area.

Blind Lady Ale House (also known as BLAH) is a fantastic restaurant. Excellent pizzas and appetizers along with outstanding craft beers on tap. This is a popular spot and you may need to wait if arriving during prime dining times. Parking around the area is all street parking. That's the most frustrating part of going to BLAH. You gotta keep circling through the neighborhoods to find a parking spot. But once you do, it'll be worth it! They have a great, friendly staff too!
