My daughter and I stopped in here for lunch while in La Mesa. We were looking for something a little different. The atmosphere was cool, they have inside and outside seating, though if you sit outside you will need to make your order at the bar. The girls working were real nice and efficient. They have a really good menu, a full bar and a good selection of beer. I had the Garlic Parm Burger - it was amazingly delicious! The waitress treated us to a Dragon Fruit Margarita that was so good! You should try it! What I liked about this place was that it wasn't so big, it was very comfortable.

Had a good time here last night. Stopped by for a couple drinks and some apps with friends. Always a fun place, great service and the food is really good. We love the pretzels and cheese, and the beets, brussel sprouts and bleu cheese salad was delicious. My wife really enjoys the Puff the Magic Dragon and I keep it simple with a nice cold beer. Edit: Went back today for a “business meeting” and couldn’t be happier. I was thinking about the burger but someone ordered the turkey melt and it looked delicious. I think we ordered like four of them with garlic fries. These fries had so much garlic it was insane, they also had Parmesan on top. The turkey melt had big Texas toast, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was served with a jalapeño candied bacon which was so delicious, a mixture of sweet, salty and spicy in your mouth, it was like a hot tub full of hot chicks. The turkey was good and the cheese was all Melty, exactly what I wanted. Someone ordered a chicken salad and it looked good. The kids got a grilled cheese sandwich with french fries and it was very good. My friend ordered a bloody Mary which was delicious with bacon and olives. She also got an espresso martini which I did try and it was super good. We dealt with five or six bartenders and waitresses and everybody was awesome, always so nice. My friends twins were acting like kids act and I was concerned the staff was gonna come say something to us. Eventually one of them did ask who the kids belong to and when we told them she just wanted to inform us that she had put them to work watering the plants. It was so cool that she took the time to get the kids to help out. She also gave them some cookies. We love The Hills!

Sliders were great with blue cheese. Server was friendly with bubbly personality and helpful (even when dealing with a much more reserved Brit like me!). They had one nonalcoholic IPA, but it was a good one. Parking at the back, but a little hidden away. There is a cute beer garden as well. Seems like a good little bar to chill.

I have never taken the time to review on Google, but this is SERIOUSLY worth it: The service was TOP notch, the food and drinks were fast and DELICIOUS. The atmosphere was amazing...every single person here seems to be having a good time. Safe environment, even a family on the front patio. Most perfectly executed vision for a bar I think I've ever seen, and I grew up in this industry. Can't say enough great things about this place!!! On first visit, I can easily say they've made a regular out of me!

The Hills is THE BEST bar/spot in La Mesa, wait no, not just La Mesa - San Diego!! The FOOD: Wow. Their menu is epic. We've been here before and had their garlic parm burger, it was mind blowing... the bacon, the big patty, the massive parmesan crisp! We tried the mac and cheese burger this time, and daaang it was so good!! Their garlic parmesan fries are authentic and so flavorful. We got their honey chipotle brussel sprouts appetizer too, it comes with big chunks (kind of like thick french fries) of their sweet potato patty underneath the sprouts, we love love loved it! Highly recommend everything food-wise, I mean where can you go to a pub that has a fun vibe, awesome service, AND full legit menu with something for everyone? Come on, tell me! The SERVICE: We came in for happy hour and stayed well past. Madison greeted us and was super friendly, she asked for our names, gave us great recos, was attentive and rocking Padres gear. Victoria was rocking it too, bringing over our drinks with a smile, she even remembered our previous drink orders. And Nicole closed us out, she had been crushing it pouring beers, making drinks, AND as we left, she remebered my husband had mentioned it was our anniversary and rang the bell for us!! They really made our evening extra special. The BEER: We love craft beer. The Hills has 22 beers on tap - a solid mix of local breweries, fresh, and served cold. We had some hazies, IIPAs, even a red on Nitro. Yessss. PLUS, they are dog friendly, kid friendly, everyone friendly :) This is a truly amazing neighborhood spot, go check them out, you'll have a blast!!

Best dive bar to actually turn into a beach house with good eats! Love the vibes, and the bar food is great quality. Enjoy a few drinks and food there, you won't regret it!

If you go once, you'll keep coming back. The food is superb and the hamburgers are arguably the best in San Diego. New addition game room is really cool.

I have visited this place periodically over the past 9 years. Never disappoints and seems to have consistently improved over time. Spent the other evening on their back patio area. Great atmosphere, great food, and great drinks. A big thumbs up to the owner and the entire staff for their hustle & hospitality!

Tacos are delicious and big. Haven't tried the burgers. Drinks were great and the service was the best I've had in San Diego period.

Food it great, great choice of draft beers & service is good. The TV's inside are not in a great location, behind booth seating, & their long island iced teas are weak. Or maybe they're in too big of a glass

Stoked we found this place. Best service I've had at a place in awhile and consistently! Been a few times and each time always greeted, introduced, and always asked if we need anything. Some places should take note they are crushing it. Also pinball is amazing at this place! We've become regulars! Thank you hills pub for getting so awesome!!

Enjoyed my first experience here. Wanted to recognize one of the bartenders that stood out to me. I was observing the staff and operations and the bartender Madison was definetly the highlight. I observed how fast/efficient she was at making drinks. As a customer I greatly appreciate it when I receive my drink order in a timely manner. Madison is definetly an asset to the Hills Pub team and her work ethic should be recognized, valued and appreciated by management.

It's a chill place with a calm vibe. The drinks are really good here. The food is perfect for the atmosphere. I prefer the outside. It's dog friendly. Inside it can get a bit loud. I'm also old, so it's probably me. Come check out this place, it's worth the evening.

I am so happy I found this place! The food is amazing, you don’t get wings like this anymore! The atmosphere is so welcoming and fun. Sweetbee was our server, she made the experience so much better! Her customer service was exceptional, being our first time- she knew what to recommend (and she did not fail), her personality and energy was amazing. We are definitely coming back, this is our new place ! I don’t think I have ever been at a place that has it all! Great service, great food, great atmosphere. Recommend to everyone !!! Worth the try !
