Awesome, cozy place with nice and ample outdoor seating. Has a generally friendly neighborhood vibe. The parking is a little scarce but the food is TOTALLY worth it! The pictures are from my second visit - Cheeseburger with bacon - their bacon is love! - accompanied by garlic tater tots. Amazing, flavorful burger, AMAZING bacon and the tots are perfect! Definitely recommend if you're in the area or hankering for a good burger and fries/tots! There is a bar area "inside" as well but I didn't order any drinks so cannot comment on the quality/taste. There are also "water stations" with clean cups and ice cold water at your disposal with a hand washing sink which was really nice. They even provided doggy bowls should you be in need!k

Always in search for a gluten options. As a family we can all agree on Burgers. They had a good gluten free bun. Perfect crisp on the tater tots. Sweet potato fries were pretty good. Great out door seating option. Also dog friendly. Definitely a good place

The Station Tavern has been around a long time; providing customers with beefy burgers and delicious tots. If you’re not in the mood for burgers I recommend the tots; they have some spice and dip great!

Absolutely love coming here. It's a great place for adults, but it's also a great place for families. You can also bring your dog if it's dog friendly. The food is good. Never had anything I didn't like. Especially like the sweet potato fries and the tater tots.

Cool vibes, great food! We visited from Ohio and really enjoyed eating here. All the food we ordered was delicious: hamburgers, cheese burgers, frito chili dog, breakfast sandwich, tots, sweet potato fries and garlic fries!!! It's family friendly and our kids loved the decor.

OMG! The turkey burger is the juiciest and we'll seasoned turkey patty I've ever had. The service was fast and efficient.

Pretty nice place, open air seating with a bar inside. Small corner spot. They have a small menu but good items!! Nice place to be if your looking to chill out and drink some alcohol or water and soda!!

The food, beer, and atmosphere definitely paints a good picture of what anyone would want in a local tavern in South Park. It feels small but pretty spacious with the extended outside area for larger groups. I was fortunate to try the turkey burger with the garlic parmesan cheese tater tots and was blown away - so good! The amber ale wasn't too bad if you prefer lighter, less hoppier beers. Highly recommend!

Really nice service here & a good vibe that’s kid & dog friendly! Would recommend just going for a beer / appetizers as the cocktails were marginal - margarita was undrinkable & I still paid full price for a full drink - a little disappointed an alternative drink or refund was not provided. Veggie burger was decent & I appreciated that it wasn’t a beyond burger, but wasn’t anything special. The tater tots were great though - nice & crispy and a good serving. The bartenders were all super nice & fun to chat to, and the brewery vibe is great. Just know what you’re going in for - and stay away from the marg!

Boyfriend and I used to love station tavern and hadn’t been but it was a nice day and decided to go back. His burger was not good. I asked if my burger could be a salad and it was better than I expected. The tots, fries, and sweet potatoes fries were good. The cocktails were not good. The playground is gone so I’m going to stop recommending that to families now that I know that.

An imitation diamond in the rough. The atmosphere is all outdoors with a bar and selection of seating under a roof and the remaining of seating in rocks under benches and umbrellas. The overall setting is made to imitate the railroad old western way of life. Thus the name "Station Tavern". We didn't order much, but we were mostly looking forward to drinking. Our drinks were very good. However, we ordered garlic fries. The fries that came were plain so we sent them back. Same fries came back cold with cheese lazily laid on top. The cheese was not melted at all so we were unable to get it on the fries (what's the point?). We asked for the cheese to be melted in which they stated they were unable to melt cheese. UNABLE TO MELT CHEESE? They proceeded to melt pepper jack cheese (very poorly) on our fries. But, they had just stated that they couldn't melt cheese. How such a simple item out of their 10 food items could be failed repeatedly I will never know. I brought a new friend here to try to show the quirks of San Diego and was disappointed along with my tourist friend. ALSO, no military discount.

Great place for great food and relaxing outdoor seating. Burgers are pretty straight forwards simple but good. Fries are also simple but good, tater tots are amazing as well as garlic fries; I think the large portion is a better deal if you have 2 or more people. Music is not too loud. The outdoor seating is surprisingly very relaxing and great during late summer early fall. great drink menu as well. Over all a fun place to have a burger and a drink.

Really great gathering spot. Staff was extremely friendly, courteous, attentive, and quick. Food and drinks were excellent. Prices were very reasonable and we had our canine buddies with us since the place is dog friendly. And the gathering of patrons that were there were also a friendly bunch. My first time there. Definitely a go to place! Deserves repeat visits!

This is my go to for a cheeseburger & don’t forget the tot’s. Sometimes I like to switch it up and order a grilled cheese because those are yummy too. With indoor and outdoor seating it’s really flexible to your needs or wants. Between the diverse crowd (families, couples, etc.) and friendly staff, I’ve always enjoyed our experience here. It’s a place for everyone! I must add I’ve always loved how they are dog friendly.

Great service and good beer. Really loved the Red Margarita. I didn't eat anything on this visit so no basis . Really nice outside eating area. Families with small kids have a fenced in play area too, and it's far enough away to disrupt non kid guests.

Great food, outdoor seating, and dog friendly if your dog’s friendly! Their burgers are pretty stinking good, and the tater tots (along with a host of house made dipping sauces) are phenomenal!

Very good, gr8 staff with gr8 customer service. Very quality food, it just took a bit longer for the food to arrive but overall it was pretty good.

Good beers on tap and a full bar. Nice outdoor space that can accommodate sizable groups.

A must-try for natives and tourists alike. It's enough just to feast and swill on Station grub and drink itself, let alone in the best indoor/outdoor environment in South Park. Those who are in town are doing themselves a disservice if they don't stop in. Prepare for your visit like you would for Thanksgiving; you are going to want to eat more delicious sides and house-made sauces than you'll be able to physically fit into your gullet.

Don't usually eat burgers. I have to say the meat patty was really good. I ordered a cheese burger with caramelized onions with egg and bacon. Yum. I really enjoyed my food but the order was slight wrong. They forgot to put the parmesan cheese on my garlic parmesan fries so it was brought to me separately. Regular onions instead of caramelized onions. And on my other order for a regular cheeseburger with no tomatoes, it had tomatoes. But overall the food was good. Service could have been better but they might be short staffed.

Great place to go with family. Service is great and the sweet fries were my favorite.

A little slow on getting even acknowledged took about 10mins before anyone even said hi or looked at me.But after a little finally some came took my order. And just as b4 the veggie burger and tots were delicious. I would still come back to try the different items on menu. Red Margarita was ready good

Delicious burgers! I ate my burger so fast, I forgot to take a picture of it. I ordered mine with a fried egg (it was nice and runny 🤤). The burgers did lack seasoning and I ended up using the bbq sauce they gave with the fries on it. We tried the tots, garlic fries and sweet potato fries and they were all good. If you’re trying the tots, it comes with seasoning that doesn’t stick to the tots, so make sure you dig and get the seasoning on it. The garlic fries came with grated Parmesan cheese, which was yummy! Make sure you try their sauces also! They have a couple of selection and they were all good in their own ways.
