Cool bar and music venue on Unjversity at the edge of City Heights. There’s usually a pretty good crowd here on weekends. The bar is pretty well-stocked with a variety of liquor and beer, they’ve got two pool tables, and the bands are usually pretty cool! It’s like a step above a dive bar and has some comfy U-booth seating along the eastern wall.

The Black Cat is a semi-gothy, 2 pool table dive bar with live music. BEST shot prices in University Ave I swear! Kinda seems small for a bigger group at first but they have big round booths. There wasn't food, but they didn't mind if you brought tacos from the street vendor inside and they were fire!!! Staff was nice and quick with drinks! Seemed like they had cool regulars too.

Honestly, I could go on and on and start a whole thing but I’ll just say that I wasn’t welcome. I’ll leave it at that and the rest of the terrible experience will ensure I never step into this trash location ever again.

This Black Kat is a historical place, we were told it was built in 1924. We asked after observing the beautiful crown molding and the flooring. There’s more but you need to come and check out this place ! Their drinks are well made.

Small place, good bands sometimes. Nice bartenders. Not a very safe part of the city, unfortunately.

Strong drinks for reasonable price. Never too crowded and have a great jukebox. I've seen a few live bands play here as well and it's always a great time. Friendly bartenders.

Good local bands and inexpensive drinks. What more could you ask for.

It was my first time here and it was a nice chill bar. They have a pool table to play. I was able to meet the owners and they are down to earth and nice people.

I had a very bad experience with the bartender she was extremely rude she took over 30 minutes to serve me and our friends which were sitting at the bar, and when one of my friends complained, she lash at us , and took our only drinks away that we had already paid for. Very horrible service with this bartender

Great bar and music venue in City Heights. Staff is great and ambiance is simple and chill. Good sound too.

Cool bar in the heart of city heights. Bar itself is on the smaller side but very friendly bartenders and crowd. Taking a star off for the $5.00 cover tab… for what exactly? Aside from that I would come back. 2 IPAS and 2 shots of Jameson for $22.00, not bad! Live music was also a nice touch.

I really want to love this bar. Pool tables, live music, an actual jukebox...But Dennis is the reason I would not come back to this bar.
