Located between Hillcrest and Banker's Hill, 5th Ave is local eaterie. Sort of like pub meets modern bench grub vibrations. A taste of Cajun New Orleans is in San Diego's backyard. Roux perfectly spiced and seasoned. Well-balanced gumbo with flavor that is pleasing to the pallette, every bite is shrimp and handmade andouille sausage instead of rice. Most enjoyable is the bread was thin rather than a chunk of dough. Drinks are generous and service is kind and responsive. Absolutely, I would recommend and come here with friends or alone. 5th Ave should be here for longevity. Your patronage is appreciated. I'd like to know your experience.

Your go to bar to watch the Cal Golden Bears! This bar recently became the home for the SD Cal Alumni Association for Football and Basketball watch parties (they are even able to get the Pac-12 Network which is un-heard of for bars due to the network not being on Directv)! Plenty of TV's, plenty of indoor and outdoor space to spread out, and to top it off - plenty of beer and great food! They also have a special football menu and extended happy hour for watch parties. This place is also dog and kid friendly, so bring your little ones and fur babies! Hope to see more Cal Alums discover this spot and cheer on our Golden Bears to victory! ROLL ON YOUR BEARS!!

The bartender/service was awesome. Friendly environment with good music playing. Cocktails were good and fair priced. The food was fine.. but their sriracha ketchup served with the sweet potato fries was fire! 😍

We spent the day at the zoo and checked Google to find a nearby sports bar. Not only was the bar lively and cool with great service, but they have really tasty Canjun inspired food. And we got to see our Gonzaga Bulldogs and Seahawks play.

Tucked in Bankers Hill on 5th, this dog friendly, New Orleans inspired menu, has 5$ Coronas, TVs galore in an open air San Diego vibe. Great place to watch March Madness or a fútbol match!

I love this place! Was visiting from out of town and stopped in numerous times throughout the week. Obviously with Covid, it's not as busy, but this is a cool spot. Staff are super friendly and they have affordable prices. They even have $1 chips and $2 fries if you're mainly there to drink. They also made me shrimp and grits, despite it being past the advertised time frame. Lastly, the Flying Embers on tap was delicious. I look forward to visiting in the future after this whole virus thing subsides!

Such a great sports bar and restaurant. So much more than the average sports bar experience, the beers on tap are top notch (21st amendment watermelon) and the food is so careefully sourced and prepared... home made hot sauce, Louisiana fish and bread, locally sourced beef.. best of all is the service from the owner who double as the chef and the bar tender Kat
