The hassle of getting a reservation was probably the worst part. We called numerous times and contacted the email given to make a reservation- the day prior. The day of, we just about gave up trying to contact them BUT finally received a call back. The reservation was made though, and of course we ended up going because we had a party of 10 and not many restaurants are ok with having big parties more than 6. They took our temperatures before we entered (if anyone wanted to know that). Our waitress was friendly and attentive and I'm assuming she was training someone because there was always 2 of them coming to check on us and they did an amazing job keeping our small tables cleared (by the way, we started off with 2 tiny tables for 10 people.) I made a comment saying, "are these the only tables we're going to have?" They said "yes" at first, but when everyone finally stated getting their orders, they offered another table 😐. The food matched the theme of the restaurant (see menu), it was pretty retro. The setting, atmosphere, and vibe was CHILL. Drinks (alcoholic) were pretty damn good. I, myself tried 4 different drinks plus a jello shot. The "tramp stamp" is the strongest drink out of all of them! I mean, overall it was a pretty decent place. Just make sure if you are interested in reserving a trailer because you have a big group, know that you have to order a minimum (depending on the trailer. Ours had to be $300 minimum [total order] but our bill ended up being $400 anyways for 10 people. FYI: they will not split your bill. You gotta work it out amongst yourselves if you were all planning to pay separately.

We rented the 70s trailer for a family group of about 20. So many fun 70s touches in there. The kids under 21 had to leave by 9:30. We got cotton candy from a legit cotton candy machine. The beer selection was not great, but the liquor and music made up for that. The dance floor was packed by 10pm with young twenties. Check out the medicine cabinet in the ladies restroom. I give 5 stars for the excellent service from our server, she was very responsive and accommodating. Thank you!

Had a problem with some of the bar staff in the past, now that they have opened back up it is so much fun. I forgot how much I had missed this place. There is a special energy to Trailer Park that other bars don't. Also, they are one of the bars downtown doing it right in these crazy times. They are still the only bar in this area that carries all flavors of Deep Eddys Vodka. The ladies room has textured pink flamingo wall paper 🙃🙃 The service is excellent. Most of the bartenders are great but Nichol (who is no longer here) - They serve comfort food that tastes good. Their drinks are above average and named to match the theme. Come check it out if you have a yen to party old school, new school or just have fun.

Such a fun spot! Good food, great service. Allison took great care of us. We enjoyed the twisted and salty pretzels, the messy tots, and their big dog. All delicious! This spot is just too cute. Great for larger gatherings, they have “trailers” you can rent that can accommodate up to 20 people. Bottom line, if you’re in the San Diego area, this spot is a must! Very unique concept. Five stars!

Really fun place! I love the decor and all the little details here. Drinks are good, although a tad pricey (but it is Gaslamp after all). There are lots of fun games to play with friends too. Definitely recommend it!

Funkiest vibe in San Diego but so cool. All their decor is all out amazing. Loved this place for their uniqueness. Sit in shopping carts under the bar... or the romantic ambiance of a trash can lit dinner table. If that doesn’t it for you the wheel barrel chairs offer the right comfort outside your personal trailer. Such a cool place.

Super cool vibe. Underground, with amazing drinks and friendly staff. We actually ran into our bartender Jason the next day at his other job. He had really great recommendations for us and we enjoyed all the drinks he made us. Solid and wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Very disappointed in this place. Been wanting to come here for a while and my first time tonight was soured by incompetence. The night started well. Food was good, drinks and music were a great combo. Atmosphere was fun. Then came time to pay the bill. TPAD is involved in a discount program called California ViP. That offers a discount on your first visit. I brought the card and accompanying booklet with the I for just in case. Sure enough, they claim a rogue owner joined the program without consulting the other owner therefore they would not honor the discount, like this is somehow my fault. Very tacky. At least lie to me and blame it on Covid-19.

What a fun place!!!!! Local friends took us to this spot, they kept giggling which made us a bit weary but HOW FUN! The theme was great, the crowd was not trashy :) and you know it's a place to be when it's packed, everyone is still having a great time. One of those unique places you want to definitely try when you're in the area.

Trailer Park After Dark, keeping San Diego classy! Now this was a fun stop! Very well done with their theme! If you’d like a fun, laid back bar to visit, this is a stop you need to make. Part bar, part trailer park, part speak easy, all classic fun!

What a unique place and find while in the Gas Lamp district of San Diego. The staff very friendly. It was a small hometown bar feeling in a big city locale. Great selection of beer and while we did not eat, the food coming out of the kitchen looked very appetizing.

Overall a fun and reliable bar in Gaslamp! The theme is creative and executed in a cool way. Would be a five star dance bar but the DJ brings it down two stars. He's honestly terrible and doesn't take requests, insisting on playing the same old music my parents would probably go crazy for. It's a novelty the first time but the music doesn't hold up under repeat visits.

Smelled a little damp. Could have been the wather.

I'm floored. It's like the designer catalogued my generation's youth and designed a theme bar so spot-on, it was like a party in my actual memories. Also, I'm jealous of how much fun this had to be to design. Every detail is hilarious, clever and the best possible upcycle.

Trailer Park themed bar in a basement in the gas light district. The bar is good and busy, but it's the decor that makes this place stand out. They even managed to get an actual trailer down there.

The place is awesome! Our server Jessica was phenomenal! Drinks are cheap, the food is cooked fresh and is super tasty. Definitely going to go back

A great themed basement bar in the heart of downtown. We really enjoy coming here for the unique atmosphere and drinks. While the portions are small and pricey, they are good for nibbling on while enjoying some drinks, but I suggest eating a full meal elsewhere before coming if you want to stick to a budget. All the drinks are great, but one of my favorites is the blue steel reserve slushee! If you are coming on a Friday or Saturday night, I recommend either reserving a booth or trailer ahead of time (requires a deposit and drink order minimum), or arriving before 8pm if you want to grab a table and not be standing the entire time. Note: They couldn’t or wouldn’t split the bill, even in half, so be prepared to use Venmo or a similar cash app if you are in a group.

Stopped in for a quick drink and the Trailer Park did not disappoint. Everywhere you looked there was something that not only would remind you of a Trailer Park, but of your grandparents home. I'm only posting one photo as you really need to see this for yourself. :)

1000% Must go to this place! Red Solo cup & Trash can lights to Wheelbarrow & Shopping cart chairs. Everything in this place is ON theme w/ 'Trailer Parker after Dark'. There even were people having a party dressed the part which I thought was amazing! AWESOME Drink menu that is greatly priced and great music! Definitely plan a night out here if you are in San Diego!

  • 5/5 Brandon B. 2 years ago on Google
Lovely wait staff. Great drink selection, the menu is hilarious and a must read. Highlights are the constructed trailers that add to the trailer park aesthetic.

Unique spot. Definitely funny and cool to see once. BUT drinks aren't very good and seating is limited. Prices are no bueno.

I'm not gonna hold the establishment accountable for the DJ experience. I'm sure it was an off night for him. The vibe was super laid back. The feeling was spring break in Havasu. The staff was accommodating and awesome. Just wish the DJ was in a better spirit. I believe music was popular but he seemed to stay on one style of pop. My taste shouldn't effect the rating, because I knew what I was walking into. The exact experience I would of expected in the trailer park, after dark.

This was a fun place to go to. The atmosphere was creative and everyone had a great time. Best meatloaf I've ever had!

The best hot dogs I've ever eaten that's for sure! My fiancé went to USC so we went to check out this place. It's located in a shopping center with VERY limited parking (and it's always so busy even during COVID). Literally anything on the menu is tasty. I got the hot Cheeto version and it was then that I realized why it was called Trailer Park After Dark lol it was all over me. The elote fries were almost as good as the corn from the elote man that be coming through in the hood so they get props for that. If you were looking for a place where you can take family from out of town this is definitely a good spot for that. The location, atmosphere and food is LA in a nutshell.

Given that the first stop during the Henry’s Take Appreciation Event involved an initial ascent, our Review Team thought it only fitting that our next stop involve an initial descent. Now don’t permit that fact to mislead you because the fun meter only rose from there. @trailerparkafterdark is the kind of venue that is in your face absolutely daring you to take it too seriously. From, you guessed it, the assortment of trailers made available for you and your guests, to the lively music and atmosphere, we just aren’t sure how you could visit this place and not have fun! Know in advance that although the menu options are plentiful, they are written in “trailerese” so be warned to either bring your dictionary or invite a “bilingual” friend. And that’s…Henry’s Take. @henrystake

Fun place to check out. The decor inside is worth going. Bar staff very friendly. Beer list ok. Full bar. Was pretty empty inside but id go back. The trailers for rent inside seem fun for a large group.

Great vibes. Prices were great and drinks were good. It is a bit small and definitely more for the college crowd, but I still had a good time. If you want to dance and come out with friends this is definitely the place. If you’re looking for a chill place to drink, not here on a weekend. But I may come back during the weekdays and see if I change my mind.

Very interesting basement bar! They play up the white trash theme well, but do it in a fairly clean way with great service, food and alcohol. It's definitely worth checking out with your friends.

So we went to Trailer Park After Dark for my boyfriend’s sister birthday this last Saturday. You walk down some stairs to get into the bar and it unfolds right in front of you! Such cool decor, tastefully done. We reserved the 80’s trailer for an hour and a half first before we transferred to a booth, it had its only little yard area and chairs plus the whole trailer was decorated from that time era. Amazing! When our party was over in the trailer we moved it over to the booth and continued partying. It was a great time! Jackie was our server and she did great but had a lot on her plate, I can tell they run their waitresses and waiters around. We definitely tried a lot of their drinks! You’ll have fun! 🤩

If you are looking for a unique experience, this bar is for you! Wildly casual and a super fun place to have a drink to unwind. There are different themed rooms to explore which do not disappoint. Never been to a trailer park before, let alone one indoors, but if they are anything like this bar—I might have to go visit one! Not one ounce of pretentiousness in the whole place! Highly recommend if you are looking for a fun night out in San Diego.

The drinks and tacos were awesome. It was only 8 and the place was rocking. Definitely a top spot in Gaslamp.

  • 5/5 Sam B. 7 months ago on Google
Very unique and interesting atmosphere. Seems like one of the only "underground" bars in Gaslamp and it's definitely super popular! Their drinks are quite good and a decent price too.

This place is a hidden gem! We visited this place a couple of times and Joe the bartender was the best bartender they had. Joe is the reason it is getting 5-stars. The others were o.k. Highly recommend checking this place out if you are in the area.

Great music, ambient is mellow, great service and right in the heart of the town that I love the most. Thanks guys! Also, they were very nice to my DD, my 32 week pregnant wife lol. They offered her water, and Virgin drinks to have her feel like she fits in!

Facing Market St. and just around the corner from Westfield mall and the Metreon, you might think this is an establishment that caters to a passing by crowd that is more impressed with dazzling decor and ambiance than substance, however that would be far from true.

Great experience! So on Tuesday's they have battle of the decades, where they start at the 70s and move to the 2000s with music. Not only that, the drinks move with it. For thr first hour certain drinks are 1 dollar and it goes up a dollar each hour. Dollar beers are always great. The food was good, nothing fancy but great quality. The TV dinner plate even came with a jello shot! The sandwiches do Not come with any side, so an addition of the tots would have made the meal expensive. The vibe of the place was super unique and awesome. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you are on vacation or local and want a fun chill place to get cheap drinks on a Tuesday.

This is such a FUN venue! I was in town for a conference, and our group had a party here one night. The setup of this place is is wonderfully kitschy, complete with plastic covered furniture, leg lamp, pull behind trailers, and wheelbarrow seating. We had a great time taking pictures, exploring the “sets” and just hanging out. Be sure to check the china cabinet and bathroom medicine cabinet for a laugh. The bartenders and staff were great, food delicious, and atmosphere relaxed. This was an awesome little redneck resort right in the heart of San Diego.

  • 3/5 Adri E. 5 years ago on Google
Overall it was a fun place. Great service and food. Really enjoyed the music. The one negative is that the music was a little too loud. Can't really have a conversation with people without repeating and yelling. But it's different and fun.
