👍👍 Had the 3 potatoes with shrimp different styles. Fresh salsas and chips while you wait for the order. The patio area is comfy. Pet friendly big plus guys. Staf was friendly and helpful. If you don't want to pay for a $5 taco couple doors down than this is perfect. Good food and reasonable pricing.... People often mention good, tacos, service, fish, taco, delicious,

Definitely recommend Mariscos Los Cuates

I was looking for a place to watch the World Cup Finals & found this place on 3rd Ave Chula Vista. Lots of seating including outdoor area. They opened early for the finals but usually 8AM. They have many beer options & a breakfast menu on Sat & Sun. I had a nice omelette w beans & rice sides & delicious coffee (cafe de la olla). I need to come back for seafood options & taco Tuesday. Parking free in Sun, otherwise feed the meters. Great place 4 sporting events!

Got the horchata and mango agua Fresca was both pretty good wish you got one free refill though. Also wish the chips was hot and got a bigger bowl of salsa not a small plastic to go container. Beside that the rockas was good the 3 seas taco, the governator, surf & turf, Perron all bomb🔥🔥🔥.

Very good food i had a taco perron didn't expect it to be so delicious. I liked that they also have a kids menu my son enjoyed the birria tacos , there was a wait time of about 15 min because the place is kinda small but it was totally worth ,price wise very affordable I paid about $65 for 3 people I take one start off for service not because it's bad but because I think they need more personal serving tables Overall I will come back to this restaurants I totally recommend it

DISAPPOINTED with the quality. The tortillas were stiff. Their fish tacos were dry (no side sauce was provided) their loaded Governador potato was more like 3 small potatoes in a plate and three pieces of shrimp. The only good thing was the grilled veggies. No sauce, No line, was offered or provided. The Campechana cocktail was so cheap looking and tasted kind of salty. I thought they went under new management and improved their quality in food, but it’s all bad. I support local business’s, but I do not plan on spending my money here if they continue with this choice of service.

Horrible service, had to wait for a table for over 20 minutes(even though they had tables available). When finally got a table we asked for the table to be clean, waiter claimed it had already been clean. We saw people sitting on it right before we did. Waiter was upset about it and his response was "If you don't like the service go somewhere else". We ended up staying because it was late and we had already waited for a while. Loaded nachos were really disappointing, tiny portion with barely any meat on it. Definitely won't go back.

Stopped by on Sunday to pick up some fish tacos. People we nice. I was told to wait 15 minutes which was fairly accurate. Prices are a bit on the high end but with inflation, it does not surprise me. Tacos were good but nothing to blow your mind. I will return.

Augachile (reason we went there) was just ok. Adobada baked potato was gross. Rice was not good. Extremely loud atmosphere so be prepared. Service was terrible, our table and several around us waited for our bill/the waitresses attention for over 30 mins. Would not recommend as there as so many amazing spots in Chula Vista to go.

Delicious food! The environment on Saturday night was so beautiful, calm, and relaxing. I was first drawn to this place from the sounds of the guitar and trumpet that the musician that night was playing. I ordered fish Rokas, and they were super tasty. The agua de pepino was also quite refreshing. The chips and salsa came with a little cup of consomé. It was bursting with flavor, spice, and a delicious smell.

It’s my first time here. I’ve been wanting to come for a while since the place looks nice. So finally, I tried 3 different types of tacos to see which one was good. I tried the fish, birria, and gobernador. They’re TERRIBLE. All 3. Fish was super dry and event burnt. The birria tacos barely had ANY meet and gobernador was… I don’t even know what that was… never coming back and not recommend it to anyone. The tortillas were super stiff and it seems like other reviewers had the same experience with that. Per the other reviews it seems the bar and drinks may be good. But food is not even eatable food. Very DISAPPOINTED especially for being in the heart of downtown Chula Vista. Sadly, I had the food to go and ate it at home. If I were dining there I would have returned it and asked for a refund. By the way there was a hair in my gobernador taco… but I guess that can happen at any restaurant.

Amazing fish tacos -- the best North of Ensenada. I love their campechana and ceviche. The cuates are super friendly and have done an amazing job creating a true Mexican Mexican restaurant.

Staff is very friendly. The Carne asada and shrimp tacos were our favorite. Margarita was yummy too. The best part about this place is that our daughters left their fire tablets in the corner of the booth and when we stopped by the next day they were waiting for us up at the host stand. Very appreciative!!!!

I was at los cares on a Friday evening happy hour. Half price on ceviche and fried calamari and they were great. Got 2free margarita drinks for my Lady companion for it was ladies night. Nice and fun sport bar environment. Outdoors Sidewalk-street Tables available.

I was kind a disappointed with the service and the food wasn't that good. The only reason I give it 3 stars was because the michelada was really good, they had a neat salsa bar for you to get what you needed for your food and the place was kind a nice. The ceviche has too much clamato or tomato paste. You really couldn't taste the seafood or the broth of the seafood. The tostada mixta was a little better tasting than the shrimp ceviche. I also had 2 tacos de vapor that was disappointing. Very little meat. The taco de pescado was not so good. The breading around the fish meat was thin and not much flavor. Usually the fried breading around the fish is thick and has a lot of flavor. The place is a cool place to sit and hangout with not so loud music. The food was not so good and the service could of been better. Also the server got our order wrong and still charged us full price when it was her fault. I hope next time I decide to come in that they check on me if I need more water, beer, or napkins. First time I feel I have given 3 stars.

Great food. The sea food is fresh and spicy. Bella is fantastic. The atmosphere is casual, my favorite. My mother had a carne taco and asked for another to take home. Will absolutely vist again.

Initially the first 3 times I had been here between 2019 and 2021, I could say that this place was a hidden gem. More recently as of Apr 8th 2022, although they have redecorated, this place is terrible and dirty! Starting with waiting for no reason to be seated to being seated on a dirty table and then served drinks in grimey cups and to the LONG LONG LONG wait to take our party of 2 food order and finally receiving it.... The experience just kept getting worst. We were asked 3 times if we wanted chips and salsa. We said yes 3 times! Finally got the chips and finally got our food. But really I hoped not to get sick... hoping the cups grime was soap and old drinkware???? So to recap ... I was highly disappointed in my recent visit. Not sure if i would try again....

We had the street tacos combos and all of them were amazing (adobada, birria and fish). The birria had great flavor (reminded me of “carne mechada” dish from back home) and the fish had a perfect batter and fry. Meal came with a small caldo soup which was really delicious. My brother had a smoked tuna taco that he really liked it. Great margaritas too! Good price (never have had a three tacos for $5 that was so good) and friendly service. Highly recommend!

The food was really delicious and had the home-cooked feel. Ate all of it with no guilt as they had many seafood tacos that were not fried. Good drinks and great staff. Would be happy to come back.

This place is amazing! Super reasonable prices for delicious seafood. Aguachiles are perfect— multiple different sauces and you can choose the spiciness on a scale of 1-10. Great ceviche, lots of tacos, and tons of different specials.
