Service was top notch. Food was great too. This is now my go to salt and pepper chicken wing place. Outstanding and this place unlike the other place was not shut down for anything bad. Give them a go you'll be glad you did.

I'm not a big fan of Chinese food, but I do like rice, vegetables, salt and pepper chicken, and lumpia. Well, Chinese has egg rolls, and this place has both! **** NOWONR OF MY FAVE'S!! ****** This place is amazingly delicious. The food is fresh. The hostess was very gracious. You could tell this establishment tries to be more customer service. The salt and pepper chicken, shrimp, dumplings both crunchy and soft, and lumpia was very good! I think this is going to be my new go-to place. It's small and hidden away. Lots of people ordered to go well into the night. They are opened 7 days per week and stay open till 9:30pm. **** I came back for more. I tried the Kung Pao chicken. Next time I'll tell them I need more 🌶 🔥. But it was still 😋. Hubby ordered Mongolian Beef, and he loved it! ***** update 6/20/23 Today we ate honey walnut shrimp and Kung Pao Chicken!!!

Our order was correct. The chicken I got was okay, I enjoyed all the vegetables. My husband ordered the salted pepper wings, which reeked of garlic, when he opened them there was barely any seasoning and just clumps of minced garlic. The worst though was the fried rice. It looked like week old soy sauced rice that was just heated up real quick, no peas, no carrots, no egg. Our egg rolls were mushy and didn't even come with sweet and sour sauce. Our fortune cookies were bright yellow. All in all, go to Panda Express if you want a notch above this. Good luck finding decent Chinese food, let me know if you do. UPDATE: was eating my sezchuan chicken left overs for lunch and found a black hair. I'm pregnant and this is not okay. At all.

I’m from L.A and visiting my father-in-law. Needing a place to order food for dinner and this place was highly recommended. We got house special fried rice, crispy noodles, orange beef, chicken wings and 2 more foods that I don’t remember the name. My favorite is their crispy noodles and orange beef. But everything takes so good. Great quality food for affordable price.

If you are looking for a real authentic Chinese food. Then Golden Mandarin is the place for you. The moment you arrive to the moment you leave the customer service is outstanding. If you were a person who loves salt and pepper, chicken wings, you’re in for a real treat.. No matter what you order you will not go wrong. The chicken with vegetables is one of my favorite dishes. If your meat lovers or vegetarian your great options. Hands-down this is one of the best kept secrets in town. The location is in a corner next to a nail salon and credit union.

I've been a few times to Golden Mandarin and the food is always freshly made. It's absolutely delicious and honestly my favorite Chinese restaurant at the moment. The orange chicken it's absolutely delicious. Also they are very nice and speak both English and Spanish.

If i remember correctly this place is on its third owner and the quality has gone down each time. The food is not worth the price. The quantity of food is decent but who wants a bunch of "ok" food. This does not have dine in and i doubt it's ever coming back. Went back 3 times recently to give it a chance and the last thing i ordered was teriyaki chicken. It was absolutely the worst i have ever had. Instead of a grilled and diced up chicken meat i was given thin strips of chicken that looked boiled with bad rice. Not going back again.

Delicious Chinese food at decent prices. Was surprised how big the portions were!

Visited when it wasn’t busy, service was attentive and food came out quickly. The portions are huge and it comes with rice, so it’s definitely worth the price.

The first time I visited the location 3 weeks prior the food preperation and taste was great. Unfortunately, when visiting this location during my last visit to the San Diego area, my food was less than desirable. The chicken fried rice was not prepared well as their was no taste. The Bar-B-Q pork appeared old and with not a lot of flavor. The lemon chicken sauce was watered down. The food was gross and did not match the cost. I will not dine again as the inconsistency of food quality is too great.

1st time there I must say was a lovely experience. Had the family meal for 3 Food for days, their specialty is the salt pepper wings, crispy and juicy. Hard to choose a favorite; everything is exquisite. No alcoholic beverages, but Walmart is in the same parking lot, in case you crave a buzz.

This place has great food. You can feed at least 2 people per dish. If you are doing take out, call ahead because this place gets busy. There is only one person running the front so if you dine in, you have to be patient. We are from AZ & will come here again when visiting San Diego.

I was pleasantly surprised about this place. Little hole in the wall. They were super busy as it was Mexican Mother's Day. The server was working really hard. I ordered salt and pepper wings and rice with a side of limpia. They were really good. Will definitely go back and try other things.

This is mainly a takeout place, though there is a few tables for dining in. Stay are very friendly. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. Their salt and pepper chicken wings are the best in town! Been going here for years, and am always satisfied.

Fantastic service is what saves this review. My one and only visit was served with stale orange chicken and very bland rice. Friend raved about his meal though.

The salt pepper chicken wings are the best! I try to stop by to get my fix every time I'm down in San Diego. Prices are extremely reasonable and the food is incredible. I definitely recommend eating here!

The menu shown on website says $41 for small tray of salt and pepper wings. When I got there they charged me $51. They should update their menu. Not going back.

Very Good Chinese food! It's fast, small, and efficient. Good vegetarian options as well. Not a very big place if you want to dine in. Service was nice though.

Best place to get ever . I went there last night during a rainy day and the food I picked up was so fresh . I had the salt and Pepper wings and the house special fried rice and the vegetables with shrimp and Mongolian beef and my family enjoyed it .this is going to be my new favorite’s spot to go to from now on .love also how they actually serve you a good amount on the plates vs other places hardly put you food in the plates but this place litterly gives really really good amounts worth paying for . I suggest if your browsing looking for a place reading reviews please Go to the place it’s very very worth it and delicious 😊

Little hole in the wall spot but their food is really good. Their S&P wings and green beans are the best. The wait is usually long because of their popularity.

Seriously the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. The wings were amazing, super thin breading, Very crispy and juicy. The crispy beef was also amazing. The fried rice was perfect, had lots of crispy bits of rice. That really shows the skill of the cook. Will for sure be coming back time and time again. Don’t change a thing golden mandarin.
