Food was good. I got the Carne Asada fries with Al Pastor and the wife got roll tacos with potatoes. Both were good. Guac, however, had ZERO flavor. Sodas were $5 (a bit expensive, if you ask me). The portions sizes were very good. I would definitely go back!

The ladies were very nice. It was just the food. I bought some chilaquiles. I asked if they had onions and tomatoes. They said no. I even repeated myself to be sure. Then I got home and opened the box and it was filled with onions and tomatoes, the salsa they used is left to be desired. It seriously taste like they dumped a del monte salsa can on the chips and called them chilaquiles. Needless to say I will not be purchasing chilaquiles from them again.

The only reason this place is even getting 2 stars is because the food is okay sometimes but way over priced. Everytime I turn around they're raising their prices. They ate now charging $5 for a beef taco that is either falling apart or over cooked and dry most of the time. The services is horrible, not one friendly face at the register, inside or in the drive thru. This place use to be good with decent prices. It's just not any of that anymore. Businesses need to stop abusing covid, they're using to price gouge. Shame on you. Never going back.

I came in for a birria plate. Ive been eating good birria all my life n hands down has to be the worst tasting birria ive ever had in my life. I dont know about the rest but i wouldnt recommend the birria at all it tasted like meat with just a red juice i cant describe. Plus its like 15 dollars n the serving is super small. 2 thumbs down very disappointed

Always amazing no matter what time of day or night. And the 24hr availability works best or overnighters. I personally Drive the 30 minutes out of my way after my shift, no matter where I am to grab the extra large carne asada fries with pico. Also can't go wrong with surf and turf fries

Ordered 3 rolled fish tacos and a Bean and Cheese Burrito by drive thru. Order taker was clear and easy to understand. Order didn't take long to prepare. Drove back to my office to consume. Food was still hot, rolled tacos were crunchy as they should be and the Bean and Cheese was the best in the area. My new favorite Taco Shop in South Bay.

This place was supreme years ago, been going here since the early 90s. Now, it’s too overpriced for what you get. The portion sizes are generous (enough to split into two meals for some), but for $12.99 you should get more carne asada in your torta than lettuce! Also, since when has it been standard to put chipotle on tortas? I’m glad I was told what was on them before I ordered so I could omit it. Total for 3 carne asada tortas, an adobada torta, a plain quesadilla, two 4 oz sides of rice and beans and a horchata was $68.97! At least they gave us a bag full of salsas, the green of which is the better choice. It’s getting more expensive to feed a crowd nowadays so I can’t recommend coming here anymore over the other excellent and cheaper Mexican spots in town.

Drive a few more minutes and go elsewhere. Lots of amazing spots nearby! Salsa was good, but $15 w/ tax for a big plate of soggy fries with a little bit of half melted cheese and meh carne asada and a lazy sprinkle of guac and sour cream is ridiculous. If you’re gonna charge me that much for what was 90% fries, at least cook them well 🤷‍♂️

Small little spot. You can dine in or hit the drive thru. Absolutely delicious. They have a variety of salsa and food. I ordered a carne asada burrito and it was soooo delicious.

Prices on the board are all wrong. I ordered 10 rolled tacos plus rice and beans which should've been $14. They charged it like two separate order of 5 with rice and beans and then said prices increased which brought the total to $23. It's fine if prices change but update the board, don't just surprise people

I would have given them five stars. Unfortunately basedon the waitresses service and attitude I can only give this restaurant four stars. We came as a group of four sat down in their dining area and they brought out our meals individually so what happened is half of us eight while the other two were waiting for their food.. we suggested that they bring the food out together and the waitress told us to give food back that was already served and they will bring it out when the other is ready. hahaha! Food was good. I will return but next time I will use the drive-thru to avoid the service.

Waaaaay OVERPRICED NOT worth the money for the quality of the food. When we got to this restaurant this past Saturday, we decided to order through the drive thru, when we pulled up, I was shocked as I couldn’t believe the prices on the menu. I still proceeded to order thinking.. “Ok, It’ll be worth the money”… I told the lady over the speaker, I wanted to get a “Surf and Turf” burrito, and 2 carne asada fries… Instead, the cashier felt like charging me for a CARNE ASADA burrito. I missed to check the receipt, the surf and turf was close to $15, total amount I paid just for those 3 things was close to $60 dlls. (Nothing else) I was extremely disappointed, the burrito was cold, meat was overcooked, salty and had so much more onion than carne asada…

The only place In south San Diego that charges for salsa. 4 for $1 naw, My blind tio makes better salsa for free. They always get orders wrong and over charge for everything. Look at the the pictures none of the cheese is melted, your food will come out cold after waiting 15 minutes in line. You have 5 more choices within a 5 minute drive from this location, all of them are better. They charge as much as El Gordo but the food is nowhere near as good.

Prices are above average. The food tastes like nothing exceptional. Close to Freeway, the only reason I stop there.

Was traveling through the area and wanted a good Mexican restaurant. Lunch for wife and friends were great. Very clean establishment. Courteous service and staff.

We really like the cabeza burrito, rolled tacos, they have chicken, beef and potato, and I ask for Pico, and the Chile Rellenos. My kids like the cali burrito and quesadilla. The drive thru can be fast, but it's also taken a while esp around dinner time. When we order 3-4 items it's usually $20-35. And they only take cash, but have an ATM machine in the drive thru. Their salsas are good too, all of them.

I was in town on a quick trip. The reviews helped me decide to eat there. I was completely blown away by the breakfast burrito. It's simple but full of flavor. I will definitely be back whenever I am in the area to try other dishes.

The carne chimichanga was excellent. My error was ordering it wet. The mole here must be made with honey or chocolate, it is annoying sweet.

Family owned business cashier is very helpful twice that I have come. Great food, great service hard to come by. If you go and you don't see the drink, you like the liquor store right next to them. Shopping area 1 stop shop. Laundry food liq store hair cuts insurance and cell phone oooo can't forget the smoke shop that will leave you hungry for the Mexican meal joking 🙃 no mama's way

Perfect breakfast place. Delicious and large quantities. We had one burrito and split it 1/3:2/3 and it was enough. Great salsa bar.

Very expensive mixed burrito that had almost raw onions (never seen this before)and whole oregano leaves. Very disappointing. I’ve honestly had a decent amount of mixed burritos in my life, and this was the worst one I’ve ever had.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE, PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY! The food made me and my buddies SICK! It's OVERPRICED! I spent 50 bucks for 2 burritos and 5 roll tacos and 2 drinks. Just a Terrible experience; I will never come back here again. The service was awful too; they mislabeled our burritos so I ended up eating the wrong one. I'm so INFURIATED! Dinning here was such a bad experience from the beginning. I'm writing this at 4am the next day; my stomach is churning.

Been coming here since they opened. In the old days it was wonderful. They had this dark red hot sauce that had this tobacco like taste that was so unique!!! They used to double shell their deliciously marinated crispy chicken tacos. Their old style adobada fries were so good with the thick crispy fries that absorbed the adobada juices. It was truly a shop we were proud to have in our hood. I'd walk down the street to eat there on the reg. Not anymore. After the old man who ran the joint stopped being involved the place fell apart. Food is shameful and not worthy of being served in my neighborhood. People that work there are incompetent and rude. The cooks are horrible. The food is so bad. I'm so sad that my childhood taco shop has turned into this garbage. How about hire cooks who know how to cook Mexican food or get out of my hood. Maybe stop wasting your money on ridiculous unnecessary big screen televisions and pay your cooks better. Everything you serve at your establishment is overpriced garbage and you should be ashamed. You aren't Asadas taco shop. You are imposters.

I do not recommend this place at all, the carne asada chips are a rip off, they barely added any meat and the yellow cheese they have doesn’t melt well either.

  • 5/5 David F. 2 years ago on Google
All i can vouch for is the rolled tacos. I've been going there for them since 1995. Best rolled tacos in big bad CV!!! Hand to God they are the best! Plus they have a salsa bar to go with it! I HiGHly recommend it! 😁

The carne Asada gave me food poisoning. I had diarrhea, fever, and cold chills for three days. This place serves rancid meat. You’ve been warned

Really cooked pulled chicken burrito. They put all the sauce without having to ask! I love how they had different jarritos than just Mandarin. Don't forget to ask for carrots!

This is by faaaar my #1 choice place to eat if I'm in the mood for Mexican, they are open literally every hour of the day, and I work through the night so that's important to me. I have not had 1 bad experience at this place, todo los gentes are ALWAYS so kind. Drive through is almost always busy but never takes more than 5 minutes to get your food from time of ordering!!! I suggest placing your order ahead of going there so they can take their time making a beautiful dish for you

I split the Monster Burrito with my fiancee, and I'm glad we did. This burrito I'd huge, we both only ate about a quarter. The burrito was pretty typical for a breakfast burrito. My favorite thing was, of course, the salsa bar with 4-5 salsas, lemons, and pickled veggies. It was our first time there and probably would go back again.

Every time we hit a concert, we hit up this place cause it's open super late..and let me tell you..BEST food ever!! The nachos are BOMB ...the tortilla chips are perfectly cooked and I had ordered a burrito and the lady there made my special request cause she liked my purple hair! Thank you SO MUCH it really was the BEST burrito I almost ate the WHOLE thing! Lol I'm actually thinking about that burrito right now while I'm at work! So yes I DEFINITELY recommend this place I'd give it a 10 if I could!

Good selection of menu items. Place is clean. Business gets alot of patrons. For myself, I think the carne asada is to salty . otherwise it is a decent place to eat

You can tell they pre-heat yesterday’s food and try serving it the next day. So gross. I shouldn’t have to pay so much for food that should’ve been thrown out a day ago. On top of that there was some sort of table wood in my carne asada fries. Absolutely disgusting.

Order a cabeza burrito, got an onion burrito instead. The meat also had no flavor whatsoever.
