Paid $3 and drive thru cashier attitude (I asked the guy taking my order if they only had Chocolate Chip cookies? When he said yes, I said I didn't want that but I wanted Cheesecake instead. He even asked if I wanted 2 and I said no just one. I still ended up with cookies when I picked up my order!) for this dinky "slice" of cheesecake. I'm giving 2 stars instead of one because the dumplings were pretty good. Otherwise the service sucked and totally not worth the price of the "dessert" that was smaller than the fork (and this isn't even a full sized fork!)

Ordered on drive thru and wasted 15 minutes approximately all together for a Combo XL and a bowl. We started honking for their attention after 10 minutes and they were too busy laughing with a coworker not preparing our food. After (Linebuster1-as shown in receipt idk why her name was not used) who is a pale Latina with light brown hair gave us our food, at the 15min mark, she was being dismissive and did not apologize for the wait and that’s why I frustratedly told her why the wait and she just said “because the beef was being cooked” and I proceeded to ask for ginger and gave us small 2 packs for 1 combo XL and one bowl to me it seems like she acted it was coming out of her paycheck by how stingy she was so my sister annoyingly asked for more. After leaving the window her toothpick scrawny coworker left the side door without looking side to side.In the end you guys hire people who DON’T pay attention to their surroundings and customers. That especially goes for you (Linebuster1)

The door sing says that it opens at 8am and closes at 10pm. I arrived close to 9am and it was closed. I have gotten food 2 times in the last 2 months. The food is not bad and the attendant that took my order was pretty nice. Please update your business hours.

This is the 3rd time out of the last 3 times I have been to this location where they have both screwed up my order, the service has been sub-par, and the food mediocre at best. I ordered online this time, got the confirmation and it said the food would be ready at 8:55pm. I got to the restaurant at 9:05, and not only was the food not ready, they didn't even have my order. The employee said very little as I showed him my confirmation on my phone. He didn't apologize or offer anything for the inconvenience, but tried to memorize my order and relay it to the kitchen, which he obviously didn't do too well on because I ordered brown rice and got white, which was all mushy. I also added spring rolls, which were crispy on the outside, but also just a mushy, tasteless mess inside. The overall attitude of the employees and quality of food and service really is poor here. and the last time this happened I made a review and was contacted by corporate and offered "free food". I had hoped they would also make improvements, but apparently nothing has changed. I seriously recommend staying as far away from this place as possible, and I will not be going back even if offered free food again. This is just unacceptable and clearly the owner doesn't care.

Going down!!! When you order the "large plate" is because you want a large portion. But I got the same size they serve on a regular bowl . They are too expensive to serve so little. So that mean when you order the bowl they will serve you in a little cup. Or portions that are for delivery are smaller than if you go to the Restaurant? Because last time wasn't like this.😡

I love the fact that they accept EBT as I'm on a limited income. Love the new grilled chicken, (not the teriyaki ). Oolong noodles fill me up . Convenient, nice cashiers

Server forgot forks, soy sauce, Duck Sauce And there wasn’t any hot sauce or Sriracha sauce either. We drove back to the window and she would not answer the window to give us eating utensils and half the car started eating with their hands on their way to the gas station and we had to get forks there. In my experience with many restaurants this is a major issue that should be resolved and addressed because they always do this. Other than that the food was good.

6/2/2018. Updated review. We were able to order this time. Really like the food. Ordered chicken teriyaki, rice, vegetables and some drinks. It is very convenient for us to have Yoshinoya open until 12 midnight. We will be back ------------------ Past reviews My wife and I decided to stop by for the first time and try Yoshinoya. We had driven by for years and and never stopped for one reason or another. Our first visit was not a good one. We came into the restaurant and noticed there was a line of 4 people waiting to order. We decided to wait in line. 30 minutes later there were still 2 people ahead of us. We just decided to leave. To much time waiting. We might try again later

How do you not take card inside but take card in the drive thru? Can you just go to the drive thru check out and charge me? I don’t understand. I literally had to get out of store and get in my car to the drive thru to be able to order and pay for my food.

I have always enjoyed the Yoshi oya in Visalia, California but my experience kn Chula Vista was terrible. The noodles were slimy. The beef was fatty. Overall my meal was tasteless. I didn't bother to finish it.

This place is on the affordable side for sure. I was surprised by the how cheap it was. The quality of food for the price is excellent. They also accept ebt which is another surprise. They have some sauces, I liked the ginger packets they had, the steamed veggies were also pretty good. Bot much spice bit I'd recommend stopping here for cheap eats.

Good food, friendly and fast service. Out here in Washington we go to Panda Express this is similar food but they definitely have their own flavors and recipes. The Orange Chicken is soft and has great flavor. Their noodles were also great. Lots of flavor without the grease that normally comes with these noodles. Also I would like to thank the staff for making our experience great. While ordering there was a confusion and we thought we ordered noodles for our kiddos and we got served rice. When we brought it to their attention without hesitation they gave us two side orders of noodles for our kids. Thank you! Next time we are in California we will most definitely eat here again.

Staff was working hard, they were understaffed yet still tried to get every orderM out. Brianna (I think that was at the counter) kept her composure even though a rude customer was yelling at her, she explained the situation in a calm and polite manner and that the food was being cooked and it would be a little wait. Staff did not need to be treated so rudely yet they kept working and did not let the negativity stop their service. This isn't like McDonald's or Burger King where the food is kept in holding bins so yes it takes some time. Be patient and the food is worth the wait.

Never been to this chain before. I didn't order food. I just had the boba tea. I believe it was the jasmine. It was good.

Severely hit or miss and they only do the BARE minimum. I've asked for broth on the side last 3 times and it's never on the side. Also sucks when I go and pay $11 for a meal and have to deal with disgruntled workers who don't want to prepare more food. And instead give 2/3rd of the portion that I should have for in an XL bowl with "noodles" that are no longer than 3 inches. Oh can't forget my THREE pieces of orange chicken. Three. I'm not picky like that but cmon. This is a highway robbery from workers that truthfully don't care. We need a new yoshinoya.

The saddest Yoshinoya in the world. I actually didn’t expect it to be as good as the real one in Japan but it was awful. Gyoza were tasteless. Combo XL was like drinking a cooking oil. Hanabi Hot Gyudon beef & chicken was too overpowering by the sauce (can’t taste anything except the sauce) Expensive and never again.

The servers should check customers orders to make sure they’re complete. I was missing part of what I ordered and paid for. Also they gave no forks, napkins or condiments.

I Just Moved Out Here Recently From The East. I Never Heard Of Yoshinoya. The Service Is Quick, The Food Is Fresh, & Delicious. I Will Definitely Return To Yoshinoya.

There was a Yoshinoya location in Times Square about 17 yrs ago... Used to go for lunch often since I worked in the area. They just suddenly closed... So when we saw one as we drove by we had to come for a Bowl. The Gyūdon taste exactly like how we remembered it! So good!!! The Shrimp was meh... I say stick to what you know hehehe.

before i start, i wanna say i love their original beef. You cant go wrong with this. The 2 stars is for the orange chicken. I was so excited to taste and eat this coz this is one of my favorites, not specifically from this place, so i wanted to give theirs a chance. Unfortunately i was very very very disappointed. Aside from the lack of flavor, the coating/ batter was very thick, like i had to literally check if it even had chicken in it. Sorry but i will never order orange chicken here again. But i will definitely go back for more original beef 😋

I LOVE beef bowls. This love comes from my time living in Japan many years ago. Beef bowls were a staple of my diet back then. Now that Yoshinoya is here stateside, I am more than happy to be able to still enjoy them. Likes: The beef bowls are wonderful. The quality of the rice isn’t as good here as it was in Japan, that’s to be expected. The thinly sliced beef and onions are the star, and are exactly the same. Yes! The side dishes are kind of alien. In Japan the side dishes are very traditional Japanese: miso soup; salad; raw egg (really good, I miss it). It still seems really weird to be able to get a beef bowl with cake or cookies or potatoes. Dislikes: the cleanliness of the restaurant is what always bothers me. The tables are almost always grungy and in need of being wiped. Also the place smells kind of weird.

I’m from Japan but why is the Gyodan beef bowl is so salty ? It suppose to be sweet. Waste of $12
