I frequent this location to buy flowers at least once a week. The other day on Thursday, last week July 20, I stopped by to buy a few grocery items and I complimented one of their employees, Michelle. She was wearing my favorite color pink. Then while conversing with her and the Cashier, Bri, I mentioned I buy flowers weekly for my Mom in the cemetery and recently I loss my grandchild. They told me to get flowers, I told them I will wait the next day. They offered me to get it now and free of charge. I can't believe the kindness I received that day. It was one of a kind and I am grateful to Bri and Michelle for making my sad day a better day. Thank you for the flowers and kind words of sympathy.

While this African-American lady rang me up she was being sarcastically nice to me and said “ someone let this beautiful lady out “ and the girl next to her and started busting out laughing. Why would she start laughing? They were obviously making fun of me. This was at 9 PM on a Friday. Behavior like this makes me want to do self check out a way but that’s not available here.

I've been shopping TJ's for over 25 years. Loved it from the day I first stwpped into the store and still do!! Great prices, freshest food and the staff is by far the friendliest ever!!

I love it here. I wish it was closer to my house. it reminds me of a more affordable whole foods? healthy options! the chips are so amazing, I could eat them every day! I love this location, staff is super friendly and helpful! I walk in there with sweatpants on and don't feel judged. I've been to this location a thousand times and I've never had a bad experience! food is awesome. wow. I just seriously love trader Joe's. thank you for doing a great job! always clean inside as well!

Love this local Trader Joe's. Workers are friendly and I enjoy shopping there. As you know once you go there you end up buying more than you originally planned 🤣

This afternoon, I purchased two bottles of avocado oil with some additional groceries. Walking through the parking lot, the handles on the paper bag broke and the bag dropped to the ground breaking both bottles. I needed the avocado oil and after cleaning up, I returned to the store to purchase two more bottles. Blake was the cashier and when I went to advise him to double bag because of my incident, he immediately comped the price of the avocado oil. I explained that the failure was my own and it wasn't necessary but he was insistent. This sort of customer service is, in my opinion, above and beyond what I experience in many other stores. I greatly appreciate the friendly, professional staff in this store and expect to be a life-long customer. Thank you, Blake and Trader Joe's for setting the bar!

I have been a long time Trader Joe's shopper since I live in Chicago 2009 so when I move to East Lake in 2014- I was happy found Trader Joe's East Lake. I recently moved to LaJolla be close to my work but I would still make the drive from LaJolla to Trader Joe's Eastlake every weekend. Today, I did my usual 45min drive to Trader Joe's in Eastlake but so disappointed with the new staff in the freezer section ( young, blond, short young lady) esp when I told her I found an open box of Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese. She is a new staff & obviously need training in Trader Joe's best customer service; because her response to me was rude, curt, nasty with attitude & uncalled for: "Its just an open box." I was surprised at her response for I have never received this rude, curt, obnoxious response from any Trader Joe's. And who wants to buy a product that is open esp food product. I informed the manager & hope they address this & give her training on customer service esp Trader Joe's flagship & proud themselves on excellent customer service. I am now thinking that it's not worth 1 hr drive from LaJolla to get this nasty, rude, unprofessional service I received today from Trader Joe's Eastlake, Sunday, Oct 22 from Trader Joe's Eastlake. Very disappointing. I will also tell my friends & family the rude, obnoxious treatment I received today- young, blond lady at the freezer section. First time shopping. I was in the area. I asked the young man about pot roast . I didn't get a pot roast that's for sure. I don't buy meat much. I trusted the meat department guy. FAILED. And their produce 👎

The service, friendliness of staff, and selection at the Eastlake Trader Joe's is incredible! Tucked away deep into Eastlake Trader Joe's a go-to store for many Chula Vista residents and visitors.

Store has an ample selection of fresh items, precooked items, meats, breads, gluten free, vegan and more. Always stocked to the brim including their flowers. I drive about 20 minutes to this particular TJ because of its selection and variety. Worth the drive if you dont live in the vicinity!

Clean organized and super friendly staff members. I saw some strange fruit I had never had. One of the employees offered me to taste it was delicious and ended up buying 3 trays and went back the next day for more to share with friends and family

Everything's usually been prettygood there. But I think they are leaving the cut canteloupe on the shelf for too long. The last two times I've bought it there, it's had a spoiled taste to it.

Stopped in to pick up a few items and bought the Mini Tri colored Gnocchi. Made a nice meal for two with brown butter sauce and pork.

I have never really shopped at a Trader Joe's but was close to one this AM & dropped in. I was pleasantly surprised to find competitive pricing w Smart & Final & even some commissary prices. Fruits, salad fixings & even TJ brand spices were all reasonable. Many fresh items & lots of frozen items that are not typical in other markets.

Three staff is always so damn friendly! Every single product they sell is good quality and fresh and their flowers are the best.

It was great, customer service was beyond amazing, found what I was looking for, but only thing is they dont have a bakery, and the plaza where is located is limited on parking, but I was very impressed by the service they provided, from the guy at the wine section, to the check out teller, keep up the good work, one more thing, the guy who helped me at the wine section was extremely helpful, and knowledgeable about all the wine, I was actually very impressed.

Trader Joe’s has always been my favorite. The prices are low and the staff always go “ above and beyond” my son worked at TJ for a long time. When I found out how the company treats their employees, I was shocked and extremely disappointed to say the least. I limit my shopping there now because I support fair treatment and wages for ALL essential workers not just management.

I come here a lot for food and their chicken fried rice is bomb and also make sure to buy the Chile lime is almost better then tajjin!

I like shopping here - the employees are very professional, helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. It makes it pleasurable plus I love the salads and the green chili cheese tamales, and oh yes, the chocolate chip dunkers.

Lovely place, but I still rather go to Sprouts.

I always go do my groceries here, prices are good and if you take your time doing the shopping, too have a chance to save good move. They have so special items that no one has and they are awesome!

I think their prices are always very reasonable for quality products. Employees are always so friendly and courteous as well. Snagged one of these cuties from there today and love it.

Great store! Nice selection for much cheaper than the supermarket. Lines don't last long in checkout and everyone that works there is nice and helpful.

Love Trader Joe's. The people there are so friendly. They may not always have what I want but I always find something new to try. And the prices are good!

Nice atmosphere friendly crew working there. Was able to grab some veggies to go feed the turtle and koi in a mini pond in the same parking lot as Joe's. The store was faced well and had many awesome products available. Parking lot is huge.

Great place to find the food fresh and ready to eat, prepared salads and sandwiches to go, vinos for different gustos (taste) good prices.... and all the things you have to buy for eating at home.
