We came here for a special occasion and I’m super bummed to give this review because I expected more from a high end steak house. First of all the entire staff was super nice but whole environment felt like a noisy, chaotic mess from the time we arrived. On the reservation, I indicated "birthday" and they were excited to present us with a "Happy Anniversary" menu. 😂 In the 90-ish minutes we were there at least TWO of the wait staff dropped an entire tray of dishes because they were so busy rushing around. Our server was nice, but on our first touch, she wished us a "happy anniversary", then offered cocktails and asked if we were ready to order all in the same breath. It was such a turn and burn experience. The food was fine, but not the best steak ever. We ordered them medium rare and they came brown inside. But the topper was at the end of dinner being offered a "membership club" so we can get discounts at the rest of their chain establishments. I was like, "What kind of 'premium' experience is this?" 🥴 When I drop $350 on a dinner for two I want a slow, personal experience. It felt a lot like Claim Jumper with fancier furniture. The onion bread, however was really good.

First, don't look at the prices. Ok, you can look, but If you do, then stop reading and do not eat there. Steakhouses like this are not for those who are concerned with price. This may be a chain, but it's not low level. There is a Dress code, so that says it all!!! A group of us came during a conference in town. They couldn't seat us at our regular reservation time, but when they got us our table (only 20 minutes later) they comped us 2 bottles of wine and 2 appetizers. To say the food was amazing would be an understatement. Everyone got steak except for me. One colleague said it was one of the top 3 meals he had ever eaten. Personally, i never knew fish could taste so good! The steaks were cooked to perfection, and so tender. But the wine... 2017 Silver Oak Cab - it spoiled some of us that other wines aren't worth drinking anymore! If you want to treat yourself, just do it.

Wow! First time, but not the last! My wife and I celebrated our 12 year anniversary, and we weren't disappointed! Everything was fresh, vibrant, and made to perfection. The scallops, salmon, and the filet mignon were top shelf entrées let me tell you! We also ordered the chopped salad, which was excellent! Rian was our server, and she didn't disappoint. Very personable and friendly, with amazing food recommendations and a beautiful atmosphere. The whole staff treated us with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. Mortons, now I know why you are downtown because this evening, you covered ALL the bases and hit it out of the park! Many thanks to you and your staff for making a memorable evening for us both!

Valentine's Day dinner was superb!! I asked for a lemon drop martini (not on the menu) and the bartender did not disappoint. He surprised me with a Rasberry Lemon Drop martini! Fresh muddled raspberries in my lemon drop martini was on point and refreshing. I called it The Sweetheart Martini- I had two!! Waiters were attentive, but not overbearing. I had ribeye steak, my husband had Chicken Christopher, both were prepared and seasoned perfectly. It was our first time at Morton's and we will be back! Thank you Morton's!!!

Great service and ambiance! Unfortunately food is not as good as we remember. Our steak was overcooked and the cognac sauce we like is sweet. It used to be bold. The only food that stood out for us was the lobster mac&cheese. Anyway, its a good place to dine but I’m not sure if we will be back.

We dined here to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary the other night. While we've eaten at Morton's numerous times, it's always been at the bar since we've loved their happy hours & bartenders so much, we never ate in their dining room. We made our reservation via Open Table and indicated we we're celebrating a special day. We were greeted by and taken to our table by Nina, waited on by Lawrence and the service they provided was fitting for a king! I ordered a Moscow Mule, and my wife had a Bourbon Old Fashioned. We shared their Filet Mignon & Lobster Tail (and added a 2nd lobster tail). I had a baked French Onion soup, and we added the Parmesan Truffle Matchstick Fries & sautéed Onion & Mushrooms sides. We wrapped up our meal with their white chocolate Bread Pudding. We were treated to a specially printed menu celebrating our 30th Anniversary, a complimentary photo, and treated to the shared dessert which they comp'd us. The timing of my 1st course (French Onion Soup), to our dinner entrees, and to dessert was well spaced. We were able to apply a gift card for Oceanaire Seafood Restaurant (which had since closed for business, but was under the restaurant group which Morton's is affiliate restaurant of). Our filet mignon & lobster wet both cooked to perfection, the sides were equally delicious, dessert was halfway finished just because we were stuffed, and the bartenders knew their craft well! We couldn't have enjoyed a better night out. The GM, Josh S, came to our table to greet us and make sure all went well with our dinner. My “only” gripe is Morton’s does not have a butter cake dessert. A steakhouse needs a delicious butter cake to close the deal! Even California Pizza Kitchen (a sit down casual restaurant) has a butter cake… Come on Morton’s!!!

Morton's knows how to cook Sunday Steak. Prawn and bacon wrapped scallops? Divine! Their lobster bisque? So tasty it makes me cry. I dream in Morton's steakhouse chopped salad technicolor.

I don’t always eat steak but when I do it’s at establishments that know how to pick a cut of meat and serve it to you. Great beef. Apps were well put together tried the oysters, crab cakes and then some and they were at par with the rest of the food. Found the fact that they were out of 2 main cuts of meat troublesome, however, but overall a 5-star go-for-the-beef steakhouse.

Nice and quiet with the lights turned down low to set the mood. The Filet was cooked just right, nice and juicy, melted like butter, so good. Had the sauteed onions and mushrooms, so tasty. Got the sour cream mashed potatoes and added chunks of bacon and melted cheese, yum. Now for dessert: They gave us the Molten lava chocolate cake on the house because it was our anniversary, we appreciated it so much, a small gesture goes a long way. I ended up ordering the cheesecake with a creme brulee topping and the Key Lime pie was delish!

It was my hubby bday/graduation fr college. Absolutely his favorite restaurant. He loved everything. Appetizers were wagyu meatballs, and crab cake, which was Amazing. Waygu Steak with truffle butter, whiskey flight, 8oz lobster tail n the lyonise potatos. Truffle fries. Everything was superior! Great customer service.

JB was very attentive and made some ordering suggestions that made the dinning experience excellent. Food was fantastic. Hot bread and soft whipped butter served to your table. Salads big enough for two. Had Filet Oscar style, impressive. Skip the fritas n onion rings. Splurge on some of the other delicious sides. Unfortunately did not have room for desert but amazing cocktails. Had the Love & Passion cocktail for VTD. Perfect compliment to dinner. Not too sweet and the sugary rim hit the spot. My husband had the whiskey flight with top shelf whiskey. Atmosphere was very classy but a bit loud which made it hard to chat over dinner but we managed. Thank you JB for an awesome experience!!!!

Had a successful business dinner here this week. The wait staff was attentive and did a good job anticipating what the table needed. The food was phenomenal, as expected. The seafood tower was a hit with everyone, as was the steak. And the desserts were being raved about the next day. I had the bread pudding- Yumm! And more than one person said the cheesecake was truly the best they’d ever had. Great job, Morton’s!

While I didn’t attend dinner on 10/20/22, my parents did. The way they talked about this restaurant brought tears to my eyes. Lindsay, the sales and events manager, and the rest of the staff made them feel so special. Norma-Jean, their waitress, was so personable. They said that they had the best anniversary dinner ever.

I can’t rave enough about our evening at Morton’s!! Exceptional service, exquisite flavor. The steak was delicious. Lobster was perfect! Tony gave us an evening to remember with great conversation and recommendations! Upscale dining without needing to be uncomfortably over dressed. The chef and bartender were both masters of their craft. Definitely recommend.

No matter where I go for NYE I have a nice steak dinner before the festivities. This years was at San Diego Morton’s before i went to CRSSD’s Proper. Love this Morton because they had Jack Daniel Sinatra’s. The house wine with dinner was good as well.

Morton's at San Diego Downtown location. Albeit, my family and I went here for Christmas. I did not mind having to wait to be seated even when we had a reservation. I also did not mind waiting for an unusual periods of time between getting our appetizers, drinks and dinner all of which took longer time than normal. After all, it is Christmas and it is busy. I also did not mind having the restaurant run out of food and having to order substitutes or nothing at all. Remember, Christmas. Busy. Allow for concessions, right? The the most flawed part of the meal was the amount of salt on the Prosciutto and mozzarella appetizer and the asparagus side dish. FIrst one was inedible and we ended up returning it. Cook said you should expect it to be salty but it was PAINFUL to eat. I mean painful. The asparagus appetizer was edible if you wipe the very visible rock salt off with your napkins. Which we did and you can too! Steaks were alright, a bit too salty but nothing compared to the fore mentioned appetizer and side dish. Mashed potatoes, baked potatoes okay. Cream of spinach and lobster mac and cheese both a bit watery. We were too chicken to try their desserts. We were there for almost three hours. Sadly, we were quite disappointed with the food. Every member of our party including myself has vowed never to return.

For steak that expensive it should be cooked right. Our medium-rare steak was blue. Both our vegetable sides were undercooked. The restaurant ran out of bread and their famous chocolate cake on the same night. There are some things a good restaurant should never run out if. Get a better chef.

Most of the food dishes were spectacular, for others subpar. Had great steak, salad, fresh bread but some less to be desired brussel sprouts. Service could be better next time. More attentive service would of been nice.

My family and I were very excited to finally try Morton's but unfortunately the lack of good service from this restaurant left us with a bitter experience. Initially, we ordered some appetizers and finished them. 15 mins go by and our waitress walked by us multiple times without even offering to clean up our table. The steak was actually decent but the bad customer service is what we're frustrated with. Also, as we finished we had some leftovers and the waitress came to pick up the check but didn't even offer he any to go plates. We believe a steak house with this kind of beautiful ambiance needs to meet their customer service.

Here’s my 2 stars worth and why. My dad tells me he wants a good steak this morning. Ok no problem pop, I’ll find one. I chose Morton’s because of the name and a recommendation from someone that’s been. Made reservations and here we are. I had a 24oz. Porterhouse ordered med rare. Wife orders a 12oz. Fillet. Dad ordered a 12oz. Ribeye....Was quite a wait for our food. Food arrives. The second my knife hits the meat I knew it was undercooked. Sure enough. It was blue and mooing. They took it back and cooked it some more. I’m totally turned off at this point. Back it comes. How in the world does a 24oz porterhouse arrive at my table as a 16 or so oz t-bone that’s blue? I’ve never in my life been able to finish a 24oz steak. EVER! I sure finished this one. The taste was so blah and very salty. My dad did not enjoy it. I certainly did not enjoy mine either. Seemed like the steak was low quality. By this review Morton’s will know who I am. A good steak chef will be consistent and on point. Your chef did not perform those arts tonight. Blue low quality steaks is not my thing. One more thing. Don’t ask if the soda is bottomless (free refills lol) because the response will be, “as long as you don’t abuse it”.... Insert intentional awkward stare here.. 👈 Just going to state the obvious. We won’t return. PS... Our daughter (9) said your mac n’ cheese was not good at all. One of her fav’s is mac n’ cheese so she very savvy! Hope everyone else enjoys their food here!! ✌️
