Great for short stays or longer ones on the Homewood Suites side of the hotel. Interior has modern decorations, the rooms and common areas are spacious and well-maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. Outside pool, hot tub, and grill area are nice though the grill and patio don't feel as cozy and private as I'd like. Breakfast is free and there's lots of options, even fresh berries some mornings. The gym area is large and open with plenty of machines. On site coin laundry. Beds are comfortable and overall this hotel met or exceeded all my expectations during my 3 week stay.

The hotel is very clean, great continental breakfast everyday, and a great staff all the way from management to the housekeepers. Highly recommend if you are looking for a place to stay that you choose this location. Karla is very in tune with everything that takes place there. Sunshine and Karina also do a fantastic job in the back office. There are a lot of amenities for families from the pool to the game room.

Epic fail! Front desk staff is too busy flirting with people to check-in guests. Too busy to acknowledge diamond status or offer related perks. Got trapped in elevator for 20+ minutes and front desk staff was disinterested in helping me get out. (They hung up phone call 3 times before actually trying to help). Property is supposed to be smoke free- hallway reeked of Marijuana. ADA room located at far end of hallway. Bathtub/shower is super slippery. Front desk staff uninterested in being helpful. Worst experience ever in any Hilton property. I will probably never return to this location. Not worth the expensive rate per night they charge.

The front staff was great and Jessica was a darling and showed how great service can be. Too bad there is only one of her. Our stay had a load of issues, incidents and shortcomings that will have me never coming back to that hotel if not the whole chain all together. You ask for anything and it either gets there an hour later or never shows up. On a few occasions I had to go down and get things myself after I called for them. Had our room scheduled to be cleaned on our forth day, since we had an extended stay due to renovations to our home bathrooms, and while we were out the supervisor called and said if we can wait another day. Well we have a large family of seven and all still young with 2 toddlers so that wasn't going to work and my wife voiced that and asked them to please clean the room. We get back well after 8pm only to find that the room was not done at all. Trash cans still fill, floors still dirty, surfaces dirty, the bed was made up with the SAME SHEETS MY WIFE PULLED OFF THE BED! The sheets had the same stains on them from my daughter spilling her juice the night before. Bathroom wasn't cleaned and despite my wife asking for extras towels only restocked 2. We were then moved to a smaller 1 bedroom suite because our insurance made a mistake and booked us with two non conjoined rooms on the other side of the hotel and we only took one because how are we really going to split our family. There were about four different events going on in town and not alot of rooms were available. Oh and also the chair broke while my daughter was sitting on it, as in the shaft shattered and broke, and the front wanted to slap us with a $300 accidental incident per policy and the only reason why we didn't pay was because we complained. There are other incidents but this has been long enough as I'd and as anyone can see, it was a terrible experience. Visited many hotels but this by far THE worst experience... ever.

The worst hotel I have ever been to. I have been on a road trip from Miami to SD and among all the hotels I have been to this is the lowest it could get. The manager wanted to be nice to their staff on the new year and have them take a break, so they didn’t provide breakfast, and the manager paid from customers pocket to be nice to their staff. Why couldn’t they hire a contractor to provide hot breakfast as they advertise? The manager posted a ridiculous notice to make people feel bad if they ask for hot breakfast!!! I have reserved a room with warm breakfast and I expect to see the service!!!! I have attached the breakfast they provided in bags and the note!!!!!! More than that the room temperature only changes in a limited range. I have a condition and need to have the room at 76, but I couldn’t. I asked the front desk and they said they can’t do anything. I asked again if the maintenance can take a look. They called and told me that since we are a green building we can’t increase the temperature. I asked politely to talk with the manager. They told me that there is no manager on call and they can not be bothered for this!!!!!!! And then someone named Micah got angry at the front desk and asked me to leave!!!! Again I heard off!!!! ———————AVOID THIS PLACE————-

Our room was very nice and very clean. Probably the most friendly staff of any hotel I have been to. Very reasonable prices too.

Nice staff. Very helpful. Nice breakfast selection every morning. Motion-detecting bathroom lighting needs adjustment. Room suddenly went pitch black while I was in shower. Hotel is good value for the area.

This Hampton Inn is located in a very interesting area that is kind of remote and surrounded by office buildings that are mainly medical. It appears to be newly decorated and well-kept. They allowed us to check in a little early which was nice. The pool and jacuzzi in the back are clean however not that warm. The employees were all professional and kind. We did have an issue with our heater in our room. After we contacted the front desk the issue was resolved. They do have a nice area where they sell a lot of different snacks and beer. I believe they provide a morning breakfast although we didn't use it. Overall a clean well-kept place. I will say that all of the sanitizing stations were empty so there was no hand sanitizer. I'd recommend this hotel and I would stay there again.

This review is long overdue. I stayed here with my husband the night of our wedding. We were exhausted after a long day of festivities and couldn’t wait to get to the hotel to rest. We arrived to the front desk and the two attendants were very kind. We were very pleasantly surprised when Antonio let us know he had upgraded us to a suite. We were even more thrilled when we saw how nice and clean the room was. Thanks for making this day extra memorable for us and going above and beyond!

The hotel was clean and very welcoming. The rooms were clean, trendy and I like that we were able to adjust the temp on an actual wall unit. The continental breakfast was a hot breakfast with many options. We spent time in the jacuzzi before bed. There was a workout room. The media center was spacious and accommodating. Great stay for a family and/or couple getaway.

Hotel is new, built in 2019. Very clean. I appreciate that the bedding was all white. The breakfast was outstanding, really appreciate Leticia and Susana for making sure everything was stocked, warm and the area was clean. The mini fridge was broken in my room but I was offered to move to another room.

This hotel and it's employees are the most kind, considerate , polite team I've ever met. I'm a health care worker that works night shift. I need to sleep days, holiday in wants me to pay for 2 nights to sleep there one day. That's $252 +tax. Hampton inn gave me a day rate and didn't charge me 2 nights!! They are very accommodating. I'll never go anywhere else!

Karla and her team embody the definition of hospitality! My employer used her facility for a hiring event and I can not say enough on how accommodating they were! We are a large company and very needy! She was able to meet every request with professionalism and class! I would recommend her team to anyone! Hands down best team in California!

Our stay was excellent except the next morning could not sleep in because a church across from the hotel started playing music at 0800 that morning and it was very loud. Did not know a church existed across the street. If I stay at the hotel again I will request to be put on on the other side of the hotel to avoid the loud music so I will be able to sleep in.

We had issues with the cleanliness of our room and it had a smell .The 2nd day of our stay they gave our room away while we were still in it and paying for it. A couple walked in while my husband was getting out of the shower. I would not recommend this hotel and I wish I could give it zero stars.

Was gonna give 5 stars but…….toilet stopped working and no one ever came to fix, only 2 towels and 2 pillows after I asked for more during check in, no water offered at check in like other guests, needed someone to go to room to turn on AC & bathroom door had a high pitch squeak. The pros were very clean, decent price, free continental breakfast between 7-10am, beautiful newish hotel, plenty of parking, fast check in and friendly staff

Staff was nice,, upon check-in, get 2 bottles of water. The rooms are clean and eco friendly with 2 mode flush options. Big plus is the; we'll help you with those items you forgot to pack like a toothbrush/paste/shaver. Nice large TV and modern, new rooms, comfortable beds and functional alarm for us business travelers. Head down for breakfast in the morning dished out by staff. Ask for a tray to bring it back to your room if your overly cautious like myself. Avoid the toll highway on the way to the hotel

They removed my other post but here it goes again. First, why does the outdoor room plaque have a photo of a boy that resebles my son? And the photo art pieces have falich symbols in them? And is the cash being passed around, counterfeit? And does that have any ties to the wood and wicker that everything is designed with? And what about the bra and underwear I had stolen from the washing machine I used because someone was upset I was on the front lobby computer too long? And when i asked the front desk, they didn't care at all. And what kind of company is that next door? Don't say I didn't warn you. AND IF THEY DARE REMOVE THIS ONE MORE TIME, THE AUTHORITIES WILL FIND OUT.

The entire staff and their care for the customers. The front desk staff, housekeeping staff, the breakfast staff. We relocate from Marriott Pier One Resort, because of poor maitaince. As an Gold Hilton Rewards member this location is NOW, our home away from home : Hampton Inn Homewood Suites. We visit our children and grandchildren here in San Diego 4 to 6 times each year,

Much needed hotel for Eastlake. The lobby is spacious and inviting and so were the staff. The lobby also smells nice. I was there for an event in the meeting room.

The Hotel was beautiful and staff were very nice. However, when we arrived the hotel had signs stating masks were required, but the employee who checked us in was not wearing a mask and guests without masked were allowed to walk around the hotel and get their breakfast unmasked. I called the front desk and asked if they mandated masks. I was told they can’t make people wear them. They either don’t care about the safety to their other guest’s, or need to be trained to refuse service to folks who refuse to follow the mandate. For that reason I rated this hotel as a 1 star.

Hampton Inn Chula Vista is now my favorite spot. I wished I stayed here my last trip. The customer service was great! The facilities were clean. We enjoyed the breakfast and use of the gym. It's a little farther out, but not having to pay for costly parking is a plus.

Excellent hotel nestled in the Eastlake area. I had to make a reservation at this hotel because the after effects of the bath tub repair at my residence needed to air out. The hotel had excellent customer service, nice, clean rooms, nice pool for my children to enjoy. My family enjoyed our brief stay there.
