Showed up for an interview and was greeted by the rudest woman I’ve ever encountered. Watched her not give a care in the world about people walking in with genuine concerns and when I politely informed her about my interview she made a face of disgust and said the owner is not here to come back tomorrow. This is an extremely unprofessional establishment and I do not recommend this place to anyone. Will not return and do not bother applying here the rude woman at the counter won’t allow it.

Stayed here during San Diego Comic Con 2022. Check in was great. Location is a bit run down, not the hotel, but the surrounding businesses. I actually liked the hotel layout Once I got to my room I did my pest check and noticed one bug on a pillow (see picture). Complained to front desk and got new bedding, sheets, and pillows within minutes. It is true there is low water pressure, barely enough pressure to shower. It was interesting to wash hands because of it. Walls weren’t as thin as others say. Though the homeless in the area camped in the parking lot behind my room and talked for a long time during the night. It was annoying trying to go to sleep but once I was asleep it was fine. For my first experience: I would stay here again, but wouldn’t recommend to friends or family

You know the phrase "you get what you pay for"? I think that what was advertised was not what I got. The bedding was clean and the bathroom was clean, which is the most important thing I suppose. It just wasn't very inviting or updated and it didn't feel clean, even though it looked clean. Of the few outlets they had, only a few worked. The air conditioner was broken. The TV would turn on, but there were issues with the remote so I couldn't adjust the volume. There were just a bunch of little things that added up to a stay that could have been better if they made some minor changes to the room.

I've been visiting Chula Vista regularly and tried many different motels close to the Blue Line. Pity I didn't find this before the other three that were really awful. It's quiet, clean, comfortable, and most important, with enough parking space not to worry about arriving late and not finding a spot.

COCKROACHES! I booked two rooms and paid TWO $100 deposits. I was only refunded ONE of my deposits! The bathroom fan did not work.. the floor was not clean. DO NOT STAY HERE! They will overcharge you and you will regret it! If I could give zero stars, I would. Did I mention the COCKROACHES??

Thank you for reading the Rk Reviews4u! Stayed at this location for one night. The check in service was quick and straight to the point check in starts 3pm and check out by 11 am. The room smells a lot of Corox so we had to turn on the air and return later for the smell to go away. The room didn't feel clean even though it was cleaned. I think the reason for this feeling is that the hotel needs some tender loving care (tlc) like new paint, curtains flooring. The bed were comfortable and was able to quickly sleep. For paying over hundred dollar a night I wouldn't recommend this place. 👎🏽

It was a terrible experience..!!! They give us a room that it was not clean looks clean but I found leaves of roses in bed and the bath tub with somebody else's hair in the walls.. does not look as nice how it was in the picture ghetto place... we will never stay there again... and we told people at front desk and he just try to give us excuses like we were lying. Sad experience please go somewhere else.

Just left today , the room was okay and clean , only problem I had was the phone had no cord or phone jack available to call the office just a phone, but more importantly I was out all day to Legoland and Housekeeping enter my room while I was away with all my possessions in the room and my daughters belongings, I was highly upset seeing that I did not request housekeeping at all and was told housekeeping would have to be requested if needed. So why are ppl entering the rooms when no one is present??? Very unprofessional!

Was calm until 11:28pm, sounded like gunshots or maybe a cannon, probably not but it’s fun to think about. This was also about the time that we could hear shopping carts being pushed through the parking lot, they then stopped to make what sounded like a dealing of substances. Happened about three times that night. Overall 5/5 entertaining experience would go back.

Absolutely avoid! The photos on the websites were taken when the hotel first opened, or else it was the original project, but in any case it was a very long time ago. Rundown bathroom, missing curtains so daylight will wake you up, etc.... Be careful, you'll be asked for a 100$ deposit (why? the sum of the room's equipment isn't worth 100$!) which will be refunded in 3 to 5 days (I'm crossing my fingers to get it back)...

Their customer service is very good. Their prices are less than comparable motels. They are very clean. Plenty of towels. Plenty of cable channels. You can tell, they try hard to make the place nice. They have mini fridges and microwaves. I understand why they have a deposit, but a lot of people will not be able to afford it, especially for multiple check ins. Downsides are low water pressure, difficulty charging electronics, a strange bug in my room, debris on multiple walls that may have been snot. But don't judge the place from it's outside appearance. Give it a try.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating here! They had a refrigerator and microwave in the room. I was in town for 10 days and really appreciated these features! The hot tub near the pool was very nice also. The rates were very reasonable for what you get here!

The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful & understanding that I was from out of town. Rooms were clean, the grounds were well kept & very reasonable price for one night $86!! Thank you!

This is a simple but clean and tidy motel type place. Good hot water supply. AC worked well. Not fancy but we only needed a clean & dry place to stay in San Diego area. I felt safe there. Would stay again.

Amazing customer service every time. Lettie at the front desk is so nice and helpful. She was so accommodating. Rooms are very clean and at great price point.

It was the worst service the worst room ever. It was so dirty. There was blood on the sheets, and they were splatter on the blinds. The place was horrible. I will never stay at this place and I will never recommend this place because I live in and I had to cancel immediately.

We stayed here at this hotel hoping that it was going to be peaceful. But it wasn't people were throwing parties, cops were called and neighbors upstairs came out and started fighting with the other hotel guest. The inside of the hotel heater was full of dust and dirt very disgusting. I can see inside the heater parts were missing. There were stains on the bathroom walls of the restroom. Also dust and dirt then then I open the bathroom window I can see right into the mobile home windows/backyards. which had broken beds, wood pieces, dishwashers all over the place. The hotel needs to put up a privacy fence. We felt very uncomfortable knowing that somebody's home was just on the opposite side of the bathroom window. no more than 5 feet away. The clothing rack It was rusty and old look like they just found it in the trash can and did not buy a brand new.

I seen a lot of reviews and some are expecting too much from a one star hotel. So lower your expectations and you might actually enjoy it 😉. Best thing - our room was very big and spacious. Plenty of space for our bags and other belongings. Rooms looked like they were remodeled fairly recently too from new flooring, beds and furniture. Apart from that you could tell it was an old building and still needed a lot of fixing but the beds were comfortable and Bathroom was clean. I personally seen nothing wrong with the stay. The receptionist was nice too and check in was easy and straightforward. Also, it’s an excellent location to everything including the trolley.

Took into consideration other people’s reviews and thought to myself, I’ll give it a try. Took a shower and the water just collected in the tub. It wouldn’t drain. Talked to them about it and they didn’t do anything. I can’t describe the smell in the room, but my wife had to use my bottle of body spray only to mask the odor. I guess you get what you pay for. Won’t be staying here again. Spend an extra $100 and stay at a more decent place

I didn't stay here but my family did and they had a one queen size bed and the room is nice a bit small but they fixed the room up nice and changed the hotel name, still a bit pricey and leave a deposit but it's comic con week so it's way pricey. Same look outside. I would recommend.

False advertising! The non-smoking room smelled like heavy smoke/drugs. There was no freaking hot water, not even a drop. Some of the outlets don't work and neither does the telephone. Of course, there are no other rooms available when you ask. Hotel Palmeras why don't you accurately advertise that there's no hot water and lower your prices for guests who don't mind? These scammers deserve to be immediately shut down and permanently go out of business. Take your business elsewhere folks! If you proceed with this scam at least ensure there's hot water upfront.

It was nice place to stay. Eddie the front man was great. The only draw back was the spa was not hot enough.

Rooms are old and dated but clean. We had a separate bedroom which is nice when you have kids. The rooms had a chemically smell, not sure if it was from the cleaning solutions they use or what.

Great location. Good value for an inexpensive motel. Room was clean. Definitely not high end although adequate for my 1 night stay. Staff was efficient and polite.

Room 107 very clean & spacious with fridge & microwave except when I went into the bathroom the toilet seat was down. Someone had used the toilet with waste and toilet paper in it!. I notified front office it was probably housekeepers who work next to that room. I was charged $100 deposit I didn't know about just in case I smoked in the room. I smoked outside on the stairs which office said is okay but have a gut feeling the place is going to take the $100 deposit. Now I have to wait 3-5 business days to find out. It is near good restaurants & fast food.Won't go back.

The pictures from the website and actually being inside the hotel were not a match. The room smelt like someone smoked a pack of cigarettes and I requested a non smoking room. The AC unit was 7 feet above in the wall....I.I'm only 5'1" so you can image how hard it was for me to turn the AC on. One of thee worst hotels I have ever stayed in...will never come back here! I rather spend more money on another hotel then this dump.

I recommend the King and Queen seperate bedroom for families we got room 206. Had a great time visiting Sesame Place and Hotel Palmeras is just 20 minutes away. Definitely coming back.

The pictures of this place do not show it’s true condition. It was disgusting. The room was filthy and smelled like cigarette smoke. The beds smelled like ashtrays. This is a low budget motel. We ended up leaving immediately. Of course they kept our deposit even though they said that they would issue a full refund.

It was cool not bad at all especially for the low price. The rooms where really clean . They have a pool Wich was nice. Only thing is it's a non smoking hotel so if you smoke I'm sorry.

Rooms looked like they were remodeled fairly recently - new flooring, beds and furniture. Apart from that you could tell it was an old building and still needed a lot of fixing. Beds were comfortable and Bathroom was adequate. Cleanliness and general maintenance were subpar. Squashed Dead spider on the sealing for 4 days that did not get noticed despite getting room service every day. Holes in the walls, loose drawer handles and broken AC. We asked 3 times for someone to come look at it but Noone ever did. We got lucky the weather was nice, so we didn't really need it. The outdoor pool was a nice distraction from all this and made kids happy.

Good Hotel for the Price! Nothing fancy but a good hotel for something affordable. I also really appreciate a place you can park in front of your room door for convenience. The staff were really nice and helpful and I felt safe. The pool and hot tub were fun.

We found 3 bloody catepillars in our room. One in the bathroom, one next to door, but the worst one was the one we found all bloody on my bed next to my pillow. It's a cool little spot with a pool, decent price, but the catepillars really were disturbing/disgusting to see.

This hotel is definitely more of a MOTEL. The photos are VERY deceiving. The rooms were actually recently remodeled and decent, but the outside grounds were seedy and run down. Our top floor room had a broken screen window and men hanging over the balcony with loud music playing. There seemed to be NO security whatsoever. Easy access to all of the rooms and windows. I recommend that this “hotel” remodels the outside areas and adds safety.

There was a hole in the bathroom door before I got my room and they really tried to keep the deposit. The parking lot had a bunch of cops when we got there. Finally got the refund but could never get the manager on the phone. Do NOT recommend. The rooms have had some work but they are so run down

Good customer service. Mostly Clean and spacious rooms. The first room didnt have hot water, the coffee maker didn't work and the heater smelled like pee so I moved to a different room. Lots of parking. Great location.
