If you love a delicious creamy tomato soup, fhis is the place to be!! Their bread is also delicious. Good prices and excellent service. Lots of seating area outside for you to enjoy your meal and drinks. Close to bars and restaurants on Universiry avenue. This is a place you must come to when in San Diego!

I ordered an iced matcha latte, but because of some misunderstanding it came out hot. I apologized and asked if I could add ice or whatever was convenient, but what the barista lady did was throw the matcha cup straight into the sink, in front of everyone, with no response. I thought maybe it was because she was busy, but then she screamed loudly when the cold matcha cup had been remade in an unacceptable tone and attitude. I didn't want to cause trouble so I chose to leave. It was shocking, rude and disrespectful.

I picked up an order of baked yummies at Peet's in Hillcrest on Sunday. I have never been to Peet's so I was not exactly sure what to expect flavor-wise. These yummies blew me away! I got a thick, super moist slice of lemon poppyseed bread (sooooo delicious and lemony!), a lemon scone (i love scones!), a large, soft plain croissant (perfect for a sandwich), and a delicious almond cranberry muffin (not too sweet, which is delightfully refreshing). The food is superb! I will definitely be back for more yummies! Go there... fast! ♡

How Peet's has fallen. This was once a lovely cafe , bustling with customers, as if it were the center of the village. The interior was lovely. What happened? They got rid of ALL the nice art. Even the back door is locked now, so you cannot enter from the parking lot. Fire hazard? The employees look mostly quite unhappy, and it shows in the product. Very little eye contact... Today the Asian barrista made a cappucino with much too much milk and i watched as she basically dumped the milk into the cup with zero finesse. Dont expect little flowers at the top of your expensive coffee drink. Not better than the Starbucks in the Ralph's sorry to say.

I just walked out of the cafe in Hillcrest after getting horrible service with a side of snark from Andrew. I went in to buy beans, was surprised to find that the bean bar has been removed. After a conversation with a barista, she told me the packaged beans were ,"buy one get one free", but it rang up much more expensive. Andrew came over and told me it was actually buy one get one 30% off, and told me "we are very clear about that". I told him that the woman next to him had literally just told me something else, he got very snarky and said "is there anything you need, because the people behind you have been waiting a long time". I told him I needed better service and left empty handed. A foul, snarky, unprofessional "manager". I am a Peets subscriber and will be cancelling my subscription.
