What's awesome about these trails is how interactive itis with the farm life. If you continue the trails you will end up at the beach. More than likely horses will be part of the view just like birds, lizards and other various animals. I normally visit three times a week and every time I notice the beauty of it all. Walk, run, ride a horse or your bike just have a good time. I just like it!

Good place for birding. There are several ponds where you can see ducks, white pelicans, cormorants, egrets and many more year round. It's even better in the fall and winter months during migration. The terrain is very flat and there's a nice raised walkway to take you between the North and South side.

The best walking/running/biking trail in south san diego. Some trails can take you to the beach or border state field park. Enjoy!

Very beautiful place to take a quick walk to get out of the routine,you can get in contact with nature and see the lake and hear the birds chirped,sild flowers and animals.

It's a great place for a trail walk. Dozens of trails that go all the way to the beach if you've got that kind of attitude. There's some beautiful scenery. Sometimes more water than others. I wouldn't go there after a really hard rain. Lots of wildlife including squirrels, rabbits, lizards, a few possums, and yes some rattlesnakes. So keep your eyes open. There are trails for walking, bicycles, and horses. There are lots of signs with maps and explanation of the terrain. But there's a really good map online and I would print it out and bring it with me if I were you. You can get lost but not hopelessly. Go any direction and you're bound to find a road. Although it might be a mile or two. It's all part of the Tijuana River regional Park.

For those that have asked about wheelchair parking, it's a small dirt lot that leads directly to the dirt trail that has a viewing deck a few hundred feet in.
