Name should be INVIDIOS!!! Master of Drivel and Captain of BS. Very unwelcoming fitness place. I wouldn't join if you paid me. Terrible and not worth it. It's a place in San Diego to stay away from. Bad vibes!! Save your time and money 💰 🤑 💸.

I’ve visited a lot of crossfit gyms in the past but this one by far has the best coaches! Clean, knowledgeable and professional staff is just a few of the perks, in addition to offering many different style classes to fit your needs no matter if you’re a beginner or competitor!

I have been with Invictus since 2018 and can say without questions that it is the best gym on the planet. Best coaches. Best community. Best vibe. I have had the privilege to work with many/most of the coaches in the SD facility. They are all at the very top of their field in training, experience and approach. The members (competitive athletes included) are some of the coolest, kindest welcoming people you would want to meet, which may come with the mindset of those who chose to become members. HIGHLY recommended.

CrossFit Invictus is the best gym I have ever been a member of. Period. I have been the member of other “big box” gyms but could never stay consistent and motivated to go. Exercising on a treadmill and a few weight machines for 45 minutes by myself was boring. CrossFit Invictus workouts are group class formats that focus on constant variety, functional fitness, and high intensity. Having other members right next to me, working just as hard is so much more fun! Classes are led by awesome coaches who challenge and encourage you to reach your potential and health and fitness goals. They are some of the most knowledgeable and experienced coaches I have ever worked with. Way more high energy and challenging than a treadmill! The lifelong friends I have made and the great community that Invictus provides has made it very motivating to stay consistent for over 10 years now! I have accomplished my weight loss goals, strength goals, performance goals, and overall wellness goals! Until CrossFit Invictus I never knew I had the potential to feel this good and be as fit as I am today.

There's a reason they call this place the best Crossfit gym in the country. I was here for a month while visiting San Diego and can say the coaches are top notch, the facilities are solid, and they really care about your personal development. Wish that gyms in other cities had this level of quality and care.

Amazing gym, it lived up to my very high expectations. The coach was informative and provided many varied and interesting warm up methods, the attention to detail continued into the work out where the movements were closely monitored and corrected as needed.. great experience. Front end staff was incredible too. A++

I travel to San Diego for conferences regularly and every time I’m in town I drop in at Invictus. Every experience has been top notch. From the staff at the desk who checked me in, to the coaches and community you can’t go wrong. All were welcoming and friendly. The coaches were thorough and gave great instruction on movement and scaling. Can’t wait to come back some time.

"Invictus Gym is truly remarkable. The staff is not only friendly but consistently goes the extra mile. The members are equally pleasant and hospitable. It's a gym where you'll undoubtedly achieve your goals, thanks to the collaborative encouragement – truly embodying the saying 'It takes a Village'."

Large space, but the layout could use some work. Its not a very cohesive flow, and you run into people getting/putting away equipment and it's not the best floorplan for large classes. It's awesome that they have a few different classes to choose from at the same times, and the coaches are welcoming and good at explaining the workouts. Didn't seem as friendly as other gyms I've been to as far as members.

Dedicated front desk staff, incredibly friendly and knowledgeable on the facility. We dropped in for open gym and trained in the same area as all the top competitors and they unbelievably welcoming and friendly. They didn’t have an ego about who they were and sharing their space. Speaking of space, the gym is massive. Fully stocked with everything you need and the bathroom was clean. If your dropping in or gym shopping, I highly recommend. Side note, ran into the legend, CJ, himself and he introduced himself and was so down to earth. We even had a little chat about training and competition.

Came at 10:30 on Saturday. They told me they close earlier than 11. I asked about the website. The place was packed from the 10:30 class. But he shrugged his shoulders. So, plan in advance. Looks fun.

Invictus is hands down one of the best crossfit gyms I have experienced, particularly in regards to the coaching and programming! I love the variety of classes they have but what really keeps me coming back is how engaging the coaches are! They're always checking on your, your form (super important), tailoring/ customizing workouts based on your needs and fitness level, and checking in to see how we are finding the class. It really makes the experience so rewarding and fun!

I've dropped in to probably 30 different gyms around the world, and this was hands down the best experience I've ever had. The gym is huge and their coaches (TJ and Osh) deftly managed some large very large classes. The staff and members were incredibly welcoming - just check out the pic. I would almost move here just for the gym!

Dropped in to Invictus for 23.2 with a bunch of friends while in town for a conference. All of the coaches/front desk staff/members were amazingly helpful in making sure we had everything we needed from taped out shuttle runs to score cards and judges. They were extremely responsive over email and hospitable when we were there. Thanks Invictus!

Many years ago, while walking around in Little Italy in San Diego I came across a small warehouse building named CrossFit Invictus. As I peeked inside, I was immediately drawn by the high energy of this place. Members were rooting for each other as they performed barbell exercises, I was not accustomed to seeing in other gyms (Thrusters, Snatches, Cleans). There were no elliptical, smith machines or other standard equipment normally found in traditional gyms. Some of the members had amazing physiques as if they were playing a role in some superhero or action movie. After an amazing introduction by the front desk staff, I signed up. Fast-forward to the present and after Invictus relocated to a bigger and better location, I’m still a proud member of this awesome gym and enjoying the fruits of a healthy and active lifestyle. With the help and expert guidance of the awesome Invictus coaches, I have learned so much invaluable information about nutrition, proper exercise form, recovery, and stress management. With 11% bodyfat on my body, and all my biomarkers within a normal range, I am the fittest I have ever been in my entire life. Yeah, I may never achieve the physique look of a superhero or action movie star, but I feel and perform like one. Invictus is more than a gym, or a “Box” as the CrossFit community refers to it. This is a place of healing where fitness and nutrition coupled with excellence in workout programming, couching and awesome and friendly fellow members are the finest in the industry. I have visited other gyms in San Diego and around the country and I can honestly say that Invictus Fitness is a place where lives are transformed. If you are struggling with your health, body composition, age-related muscular degeneration or simply want to revamp your fitness to a new level, I highly recommend Invictus Fitness. Joining Invictus Fitness has been a life changing experience for me and the only regret I have is not finding them sooner.

As a 55-year-old woman, I saw that my older friends/family were becoming more sedentary and could no longer perform activities that they enjoyed and even struggled with performing some of life’s tasks. I finally realized that if I wanted to be strong and sustain my quality of life, I needed to make changes and begin a fitness program ASAP. I had been going to a gym for over a year but only did the machines because I did not know how to use barbells and dumbbells etc. I hired two different personal trainers and was not exposed to the basics I was hoping. I came home and told my husband that I just wanted a coach to teach me proper form so that I don't get injured and I want them to cheer me on! He looked at me and he said it sounds like you want to do CrossFit! Never in my wildest dreams did I ever consider going to CrossFit. I've always thought CrossFit was for people that were already in shape, which I was not. My husband did his research and discovered the best CrossFit facility in San Diego…Crossfit Invictus. We went to Invictus and spoke with the manager named Kim. I told her that I just wanted to get strong. She told me that she could tailor a plan unique to my age, fitness level and limitations. A couple days later she sent me a follow-up email again telling me that she could help me. I was thoroughly impressed with her enthusiasm and I figured “Why not? I committed to going for one month. I was so nervous but I started to work with Kim and I got 100 times more than I ever thought it I would get from Crossfit. Not only has Kim been teaching me proper form and how to do various exercises, but she has made working out FUN which is not how I ever thought I would view fitness! Her motivation and encouragement has supported me in achieving more than I ever thought that I could do. It has been almost two months now and I absolutely love going to Invictus. I am feeling stonger every day. I cannot thank Kim and everyone at Crossfit Invictus for making such a positive impact on my life and supporting my fitness goals.

This review is coming from someone who has done crossfit for about 6-7 years & has coached about 4 years. This gym is absolutely superb. The coaches know what they're talking about, can answer any questions with precision, & are awesome people. Kirsten's classes are super fun & Fritz's classes are always a good pump session (feels like you're working out with good friends.) The price tag may deter certain people away but you don't get this level of coaching & environment without paying for it. Even if you're stepping into a box for the first time, this is a perfect way to get yourself to a high standard of movement while having a great experience. I'm incredibly picky when it comes to choosing a crossfit gym, so I was very tedious with my research before I first joined. Fast forward a year later? Best decision I ever made.

Thinking about dropping in, just checking it out for the 1st time, or considering joining...Do It! I have been a member of many other CrossFit gyms and this one is hands down the best. World class programing and the best coaches for Gymnastics, Aerobic, Endurance, and Olympic lifting. They can help you at any level you are at, no need to feel intimidated. Great supportive community of members and coaches that always welcome out of towners and newbies. I can’t recommend it enough….it’s life changing.

Bryce Smith has been my coach at Invictus for the past 6 years. In the time he has been my coach I have seen improvements in my performance, strength, endurance/cardiovascular capacity, and flexibility. He not only has a vast knowledge base concerning the sport of Crossfit and how to achieve your goals in that arena but also in a vast array of other sports. Whether it’s the sport of Crossfit, basketball, soccer, etc., just getting in shape for “pool season”, or even becoming successful as an elite SEAL and making it through BUDS, Bryce Smith has you covered. Not only will he focus on making you physically fit, but mentally fit/tough as well. Being mentally fit is something often overlooked in today’s society but the mind is a muscle that needs training too, and through practice and experience it can learn to become more resilient. My mental capacity to handle stress, anxiety, depression, and everyday life has grown significantly since going through Bryce’s unique and diverse training methods. And if you’re struggling with an injury Bryce knows exactly how to best adapt and work around those injuries to get you back to performing at your top level! I have never regretted my decision to come to Invictus and to be coached by Bryce Smith and I know you won’t either. So, the only question is, are you ready to accept the challenge of working on becoming a better, more resilient version of yourself with a coach that listens, is adaptable, and puts every effort and care you could wish for in a trainer? Then sign up with Bryce Smith! The journey of becoming a healthier, fitter, more resilient you is waiting right around the corner!

Invictus is one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. It has done wonders for my health and has helped in all aspects of my physical being. Kirsten is the trainer I go to once a week and it has really helped with my hip mobility. She constantly challenges me, while also meeting me where I am at, always creating a positive experience. She is quite simply the best trainer I have ever come across. However, what I like most about Invictus is the sense of community the gym offers. It is hands down the best gym I have ever joined and the staff is amazing. There is not a weak link among them. They are passionate and knowledgeable about what they do - and they do it well. No matter where you are at on your fitness journey...you will find a home and always feel welcomed at Invictus.

THE BEST GYM! Many coaches are elite level competitive athletes, others have decades of coaching experience. The community Invictus trains are amazingly kind and down-to-earth people, with no exception from the staff or management.
