I wish I could give it "0" stars. The staff is the LEAST friendly I've ever encountered. I do understand that for good photos, we can't stand on the aisles, but their manners were deplorable... "we don't want kids in our church, didn't you hear me?". Really? ... I seriously regret having chosen this location. Mean mean MEAN staff, can quite express how offended my family is after their behavior. Those old ladies should be removed from whatever it is they "were doing".

We recently held our wedding ceremony at St. Rose of Lima. Deacon John prepared us for our sacrament. He was very supportive and really helped us go through the process of making sure we completed all the steps as part of the Catholic Diocese. We truly felt prepared to not just have a wedding, but prepare for our commitment of marriage. The church office staff were really helpful and allowed us to access the church to figure out our décor. Maly helped us with the rehearsal, and patiently waited until our family arrived and reviewed it several times so that we all could remember and feel comfortable. Maly also helped us with the day of ceremony. Mr. Advento did the music, which was of course beautiful. Mr. Advento listened to our requests including the Psalm and the Ave Maria was beautifully sung. Father Miguel was phenomenal. Even our non-religious friends and family, thought Father Miguel spoke wonderfully, and was entertaining. He included my daughter in the ceremony so she would feel part of. Everything went smoothly, the ceremony was special, and we truly felt supported by our local church community.

On my quest to attend mass in all of the San Diego County Catholic Churches I found another welcoming place to talk to God. The environment is a good place to go to pray and give thanks to our Lord and Savior.

Wonderful parish to be a part of! I've been a parishioner since 1993. I learned from so many great music ministers and priests at this, my home parish, and now I'm a professional music minister too. Thank God for Fr John Dolan (now Bishop) for hiring me as a music minister in 2009. Huge community of friendly and supportive parishioners. So many groups and activities to be a part of, so many masses to choose from on the weekends. If you're there on a Saturday night, come to the English mass at 5pm or the Spanish mass at 6:30. I'd love to hear you out there in the pews singing along in worship!

Father Miguel is great. Avoid the 1pm mass. Parking lot is a mess. People sit right against you

Love this church but sadly they are 80% of the people attending mass mo maak we still pandemic why they dont enforced mask qhy??

I will never set foot in another Catholic Church because of this place

Just a good traditional Catholic Church located in Chula Vista. Very family oriented with a school as well.

I attend mass here on occasion when I'm in town because it's a central location to our extended family. We have attended mass at St. Rose of Lima Cath. Church for different reasons over the past 31 years; baptisms, weekly mass and funerals. This is a large church with a sizeable parking lot; there's always off street parking near by.

I want to go to pay respect to my best friend that passed away recently

I recently attended a private mass service for my Tia 'Coty' Costanzia G. who recently past away. Services were beautiful and made me proud to be a member. Great job staff with the decorations. God Bless You All I've been a member for 30 years.

This is a great place to get basic resources n religious meditation, must visit 👍

During the mass this evening a staff member got uncomfortablely close to me while I was praying. The staff member interrupted me while experiencing low glucose. I was confused and attempted to explain, however he was inconsiderate, and quite rude. Clean facilities though.

Here visiting and stopped by for 5pm Saturday Mass. Church is moderate size with ample parking. Other worshippers were friendly and warm.

I've been going here for a couple months to get my sacraments before my wedding in October, which will be in Orange County. I love down the street of this church and actually really enjoy this place and will become a regular. Great staff and awesome classes in Sundays! Definitely learning a lot!

Plain and simple a wonderful and welcoming church. The parking can get full but there’s always a space waiting. The church itself is quite large, the young man I’ve seen play piano and sings leads a beautiful song throughout the service. It’s simple and no fuss and a variety of members- all races sizes of families and even a lot of single people with friendly faces. I really enjoy their flyer they give
