I was disappointed, I had found a cat with a fish hook in his mouth and ask them to help me, i was willing to pay for this stray. They said they wouldn't help because the cat didn't belong to me and referred me to a different location where I was also denied help. My friend took the cat to Mexico and was back within 3 hours and released back to his home at the bay.

Very sad place to visit. Went multiple times when looking for a dog. One visit it was extremely hot that day and none of the dogs had water, many had peed and poop in their cells, I watched a volunteer "cool" down their areas by spraying a hose with the dogs in there terrified, soaking everything and then going to the next cell. The dogs didn't have toys, and many just looked so broken and scared. Visiting this place left me in tears many times. I did decide I wanted to adopt a dog from here to get them out of this place and I did meet one staff member who was truly very nice and seemed to care a lot for these dogs. With all this said I adopted a high energy husky mix (older) puppy. For $25 I got him and he was neutered, microchipped, and given a 1 year registration. He is one of the best dogs, he can be naughty and stubborn (hello husky!), but he is so easy going. He has made the best hiking companion and snuggle bug.

The place is nice for the animals but people are rude there especially those employees with uniforms. They come with very strong attitudes. Do not recommend this place. They manipulate you and make decisions on what pet you should get. They also make their own rules when they don’t like you.

Friendly, Caring Staff Employees & volunteers work hard to keep animals healthy, safe & exercised. The team took time to help us find the right pet for our family. FYI: Donations needed for their 🐇Rabbits - Fresh: Carrots, Bell Peppers, Cilantro, Green & Red Leaf Lettuce, Mustard Greens, Romaine Lettuce (no iceberg or butter) Parsley, Watercress, Dandelion Greens & Oranges. Drop off during their open hours.

This location has absolutely amazing caring staff who are friendly and helpful. During my Microchip visit, my fur baby made himself known in multiple locations. The staff were not rude about it and I wax apologetic willing to clean up after my pooch. However, they had a system and said its normal not making a scene of it.

Worst experience at a humane society. We are from Wisconsin and stated extra days thinking about this dog. Rented a car to drive back to Wisconsin with this dog. But they instead chose to not adopt the dog to us because of another family "potentially" wanting this dog but they have to first make sure their dog gets along. Seriously, you guys wonder why your overcrowded? You don't answer your phone we tried calling and calling and the staff makes you feel like your asking the world of them when in reality we just wanted to adopt a dog and give it a good life. If I could give you negative stars I would.

I went to this shelter to get a dog for my family. My kids fell in love with this dog that absolutely adored them. I went to book the meet and greet and the lady wouldn't even set it up because she said the dog isn't good with kids. But he sure was loving my kids. The dog has been there 6 months and it's because of stuff like this. He would have had a loving home. If i were you i would go somewhere else to save yourself the disappointment.

I took my dog in to be neutered. He came back traumatized. I should have trusted my gut. I didn’t have a good feeling about this place and against my better judgment I went ahead and took him in day of surgery. He is now a completely different dog. He is very aggressive even trying to bite me. I was told by my vet they probably treated him very bad at the shelter and man handled him. He is very traumatized!!! Pay the extra money and take them somewhere better

Excellent animal shelter that’s been the staple of giving necessary care for the animals for a very long time. The facility is very clean, no bad smells, and looks like the animals are well taken care of. Very detailed oriented facility which is a good thing. Many of these shelters are overwhelmed with animals due to irresponsible people breeding or tossing them away like getting rid of their old stuffed animals. The shelter workers do their very best to give these animals love and support they so deserve. Although, customer service can be slow, I understand and appreciate the time they take and the meticulous process & protocol they have to follow because at the end, everything is for the wellness of the animals. *Please consider adopting or fostering if you are looking for a pet*

A wonderful facility with friendly people who are patient and willing to help you. I recently adopted my cat here and he is very friendly and loving!! I highly recommend coming here to find a pet and they often have monthly promotions on adoption fees.

We had our two cats spayed and neutered. The process was simple enough online, we paid in person (also to verify i.d.). You have to arrive early and the process, depending where you are in line, is probably no more than an hour. Facility is clean, plenty of parking. The staff is very loving and gentle with the critters. This touched me. They love their patients. Follow up care is A+.

When I took my chihuahua here she was in pain and they took her back with her blanket. When the doctor came in to talk to me I find out my dog was left in the cage or kennel for four hours without her blanket. It was cold in there. Rainy cold night. She said my dog was alert. Well yes she was probably freezing and looking for me no doubt. It puzzles me that a doctor would tell you blood work is needed and not know prices. Instead just tell you that it’s somewhere in the price of 300 to 800 for blood work. Why so dang much? Our blood work isn’t that costly. These veterinary doctors only are as good treating your pet as your pocket is deep. There’s no compassion in their hearts. Just dollar signs in their eyes. It’s sickening. A visit and a prescription was $ 180.00 Robbery. It’s all a robbery

Great place to adopt a fur baby. I just swung by to donate some kitty toys for the little ones. Please support your local Kennel's. Even if you don't adopt. Have a blessed day:)

This center is the best. They really care for the animals in their care. We have adopted 1 kitty, Kahlua, from here. And she is thriving well into her senior years now.

Great service. Loving, caring staff. I have had to take my 18 year old cocker and just recently a cat to be euthanized. They were great. Thank you.

I went last week and adopted my little kitty Obi. He has been amazing and came fully litter box trained and everything. The process was very smooth and quite easy. For dogs it’s a bit more complicated but if you’re looking for a cat this is the way to go. There are way more kittens than cats. I would definitely recommend this place to others :)

Thank you for allowing me to meet a wonderful soul like Uki. She brought a beautiful light to my life, and I will miss her dearly. She passed away, but she will live forever in my heart.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the amazing team here for their exceptional customer service. From the moment I stepped through their doors, I was greeted with warmth and kindness. The staff members James and Natasha went above and beyond to answer all my questions and provide me with the necessary information to adopt my dog Max. The shelter's commitment to finding loving homes for abandoned animals is truly commendable. I am forever grateful for their exceptional service and for helping me find my perfect four-legged friend.

The most amazing staff as they care deeply for all the animals. We had a wonderful experience with them when we had to bail my sisters 3 fur babies out lol. In conclusion always consider adoption so many fur babies need a home🤎

This place has helped me TNR the feral cats in my yard. I’m thankful for what they do for the community. My only complaint is they never answer the phone and I have to wait for a call back. I wish I could email or get ahold of staff better.

Made an online appointment for my pets, very busy on Wednesday(s). James and Rosana were very respectful, professional and above their patience to the public.

There is a newly born group of kittens that was found in a car at repair/chopshop. The car is going to be taken any day and scrapped and demolished. THE KITTENS ARE IN DANGER BUT, when this "animal care" facility was called, THEY REFUSED TO COME AND RESCUE THESE KITTENS. This place is a joke. I know resources are tight, but when animals are IN DANGER and they REFUSE to help, why are they even here? What are they using the money for that they get? I hope they aren't getting federal money or money from the state because they are clearly not using it wisely and they certainly arent helping animals who are in danger. There is no "animal care" here. There is only bureaucratic laziness and money hoarding.

Can not follow up on stray dog that I found and gave to the shelter, with a $200.00 donation for care. They gave me an ID #A245385 but the web site has absolutely no way to put the ID# in and follow up. Hope this poor animal is still alive.

We found two lost dogs in front of our house late at night. The next morning we took them to help them find their rightful owners. Everyone there was very helpful and best of all we heard a couple of days later they were home.

I'm thankful to the girls that let me walk the shelter more than once to look for our Ernie. So many lost animals needing homes. I hope others decide to adopt or find their missing furbaby.

There’s a lot going on at animal shelters and the team here does the best they can to help. They support one another to provide the best service possible. They are very nice here compared to the Bonita Animal Shelter.

Had my pup spayed in 4/28/22. I had a very positive experience with them. They answered all my questions I was concerned about which put me at ease before her being spayed. The intake staff were very polite & knowledgeable. At first I was very worried because of the negative reviews I seen. They also gave my pup meds to take at home which I really appreciated. Thank you Chula Vista Care facility for taking care of my baby. Grateful I took her there 🐶💕
