😠 Anyone who price gouges like he does during times like this deserves a one star. A box of 50 rounds of 9mm are $80!!! Glock 19’s over $1000! Beretta 92F’s over $1000! What’s sad is they don’t understand customers will not return. I know I won’t. I have respect for shops that stay fair. This was a j... People often mention store, service, customer, price, owner,

I always try to support local/family business but unfortunately I’ll have to pass. “Alberto”, I assume the owner was incredibly rude, difficult and disrespectful. The other person working there is not as rude but give it some time, I’m sure Alberts’ charming personality will rub off. They seemed bothered when asking questions. If you like rude service and high prices, this place is for you. I cannot recommend this place at all and will take my money else where. There’s plenty of Gun-shops in San Diego with friendly staff & less price gouging.

Wow, 13 likes. I must be on to something. If you want customer service you've gone to the wrong place. As you can tell by all the other reviews there is something definitely wrong with the owner. The smug arrogance he has is enough to drive anyone away. I thought maybe he has a slight case of bad attitude but I really didn't want to go anywhere else since I found a used item I was looking for way below the price I was ready to pay for it. I didn't realize he might be suffering from a slight case of Asperger syndrome until after he had my money and the wait was on. Needless to say I got what I came there for and I just won't be back. If that's how he runs his business then so be it. Buyer (and shopper) beware.

The short guy there was basically just a body to keep the doors open. Zero customer service (LOOK AT THEIR REPLIES TO CUSTOMERS AS AN EXAMPLE), price gouging the San Diego gun community...great business model, which makes sense why you guys are always empty, even with ammo. guns all look used and very limited old supply. DON'T BUY HERE, THEY ARE PRICE GOUGING, AND CLAIM ITS EVERYWHERE, ITS NOT. SHOP AROUND, YOU'LL THANK ME. LAX AMMO IS A GREAT START!

I've never experienced the worse customer service. I came in here to get help with the process of getting my concealed carry and HE did not even look at me. He was every short with me and continued to be on his computer. An older couple came in the store and gave them 100% of his attention. I really hope he gets his act together. Worse place ever.

I can not thank Albert enough. As a Mother he made me feel so safe and comfortable. Like those Tios that actually care and want to share that knowledge with you. I have very small hands and he made sure to help me find a gun that is Safe, Accommodates to my needs and extremely polite. I'm thankful to be shopping from our community. I can't wait to come back! Thank you for all you do for us!

There is a lot of negative comments for this establishment, and everyone has the right to express their opinion (we might not care, but they have the right). Personally, I just purchased a gun from this place and also got my FSC from this place, and the guy who helped me was excepcionaly helpful; he answered all of my questions, shared his own recommendation, and even knocked 100 bucks out of the asking price for the gun I decided to get (he called the owner for approval first, which is reasonable). I find amusing that people accuse the owner of being rude, impolite, and lacking customer service, perhaps he has an attitude, but don't we all? Specially under this pre-recession economy, inflation is over 10% compared to last year, we just came out of a global pandemic, we have a clown as POTUS and the upcoming generations are just as fragile as flowers. If you don't like this place, go somewhere else, that's the beauty of this free country, there's plenty of places who are willing to take your money.... Think about it people, we are all stressed and just want things to go back to normal, when reality is, nothing will be back to pre-pandemic normal again. We just have to live with the fact that things are more expensive now, so let's deal with it. Anyways, Chula Vista Gun Store: keep up the good work and I'll see you soon.

The store itself is WAYY outdated and very sparsely stocked. It reminds me of a thrift store or a low end military surplus shop. Very limited parts selection. It's actually a little sad. The firearms inventory sucks. Not many choices if you want something modern. The thing that really prevents me from shopping at this store though is that the prices are generally outrageous. They sell AR lowers for about twice the price of larger stores. Ammo is ridiculously priced. Their transfer / online fee is way more than Gussler's or West Coast Survival Arms, which is also in Chula Vista. To sum it all up, if you're not looking for a random consignment collector gun you'll never shoot or some highly jacked up prices on everything else, I'd recommend shopping somewhere else. Convinced that the 5 star reviews are either friends of the shop or they've never been anywhere else. Most reviews here, Yelp, Reddit all say the same thing.. stay away. The owner clapping back at every negative review really shows what type of person this guy is. Edit: seeing the owner's response confirms this guy is suffering from some sort of anger issues. Insulting customers for posting realistic feedback when he himself can't take criticism is just hypocritical and pathetic.

I recently bought my first gun and had no clue which gun to select. Alex was very helpful and knowledgeable helping me select my first gun. Also got a $50 off. I don’t know where all the negative comments being posted because I almost didn’t want to buy my gun there because of the reviews. I’m happy I gave them a chance. Thanks!

Sold some pistols on consignment for me. They sold quickly and for a good price. Never had a problem with 5 transactions. Personal attention and no waiting if you go early. This is the only gun store I would use for my consignment guns. Fees are also minimal.

Reading the responses to the reviews sounds like they don't want customers! 🤣 It's a shame, really! I'll keep looking elsewhere!

Went and purchased a 22lr revolver from here the gun immediately broke 40 mins into shooting it I tried to contact the store several times with no answer and no solution so I had to go to a completely different store where they actually answered the phone and were extremely helpful in getting the parts ordered and fixing it do not go here fine fire arms is a way better store when it comes to customer service and stock

Highly recommend this shop, couldn’t find an XD9 anywhere and I found it at this location. Alberto was real cool, made small talk about guns and everything happening in the world. Great experience. I’ll for sure be coming back to this store for my gun needs. Thanks Alberto

It’s a gun store, nothing fancy, most of the inventory is sitting there covered in dust which is very off putting, they could absolutely be capitalizing on the fact that they are one of a just a few gun stores in Chula Vista but the store is very pale, dull, and uninviting.
