My 9 year old daughter has been going to this school for piano about 2 years now and she enjoys it very much. Right now during Covid, classes are via FaceTime and she’s learning pretty well. Although we can’t wait for things to go back to normal because she loved learning with the other few kids in person. I definitely recommend this school and appreciate Mr. Bill’s flexibility and communication.

This place is amazing. Our kids have been taking piano lessons from Mr. Bill for about 5 years and have enjoyed every bit of it. He’s nice, professional, and most importantly, patient. They have many schedule and instrument options to fit your needs and they are very flexible. Enrolling our kids at Chula Vista Academy of Music has given them much more than the gift of music. They are more patient, more responsible, and more confident than ever. If you’re looking at options for music lessons, you should definitely check this place out.

We have been here for 4+ years now! We have many other options closer to home, but we would rather make the drive!! We couldn't be happier and we love the family feel :) Miss Lily is AMAZING -She is The Best!! All the ballerinas love love love her and she is so good with them! You can feel the love while she also instructs with discipline. We started piano lessons and couldn't be happier with Miss Alice! We love that this school is not based on a season semester schedule like most schools, so no long breaks, classes continue without interruptions other than holiday breaks. The recitals are great too, they are split into groups, the duration is perfect and the performers aren't waiting around all day like at most other schools. We are very happy and recommend this music and dance school very highly!

Mr. Bill is masterful at playing piano but I’m highly impressed by his ability to identify the needs of his students. In the little time that my daughter has been under his instruction she has made a lot of progress. Through recitals students are given the opportunity to showcase their learning and build their self-confidence. Coming from other schools where they nickel and dime you for recitals, Mr. Bill is extremely fair and the experience is pleasant and to the point. Also, all performers leave with a special surprise!

I've been coming to this music school for almost 12 years, and my piano lessons have been great. I was also part of a band program they had a few years ago and really enjoyed how that was all put together. I recommend this school if you want good teachers and great service.

My daughter has been taking piano lessons from Mr. Bill for about 10 years. She has always, and continues to, love her lessons. Mr. Bill is a wonderful, patient teacher who, by sharing his passion for music, has helped my daughter develop not only her musical skills, but her confidence as well.

🎶 🎸The academy is located in the middle of the most traditional part of Chula Vista, the Third Avenue Village, which is a jewel in the city. We have passed several times by the academy, and though we were curious about it, we thought that the classes were only for young children. Now that my daughter is graduating and will have more time to dedicate to doing activities she is passionate about, I thought of contacting this place to get more information, a referral, etc. Bill, who answered the phone was very courteous, attentive, and understanding about my child's situation. He told me that the academy is for all ages and that based on the information I provided him, he had a teacher who would be a good match for my child, so she would enjoy the class instead of feeling stressed. This week, I took her to an introductory guitar class. She received full attention, which was very good for her since she is a lefty and has dyslexia. The teacher was patient, explained and answered clearly and simply all her questions. The place is clean, it has about 4- 5 small rooms for music classes and one for dance classes. What I liked the most was the attention they give to students and their interest for them to learn while having fun. There is parking behind and on the street. It's not free. Follow up note: Sadly, my child won't be able to take classes here. She has several medical conditions and she only has enough strength to attend every other week; unfortunately, it seems the academy couldn't accommodate the schedule and she would have to go every week.. we wish her condition improves someday enough so she can have the same opportunities as others and be able to enjoy what she loves the most.. there's always hope, right 😌? We are thankful, anyway, for the introductory class.. she was really happy and excited about it. Hopefully, we can find a more suitable place for her needs 🙂

I have a twelve year old daughter with Down syndrome and dancing is her passion. Not just any dance studio is as welcoming and friendly as this academy. My daughters weekly lessons are a joy, and always something to look forward to. The studio encourages creativity and passion through dance and the instructors are excellent, I am very pleased with this academy.

Chula Vista Academy of Music & Dance is a great place for all levels of piano students. I have been attending piano class with Alberto for almost a year and thoroughly enjoyed it. Alberto is an excellent teacher. I am an adult who is learning piano later in life. He has helped me quickly progress through the music and reach the desired level. He focused a lot on technique and guided me step by step. I feel like I learned a lot. I had to stop taking lessons because of relocation, but I highly recommend this place for those who want to learn or improve any music skills.

My children have been attending the Chula Vista Academy of Music for several years. They have grown as musicians and love their teachers! Mr. Bill, the director, is great to work with. It’s a wonderful environment for kids and adults who are in any stage of their musical development, beginning or advanced. Our family loves the recitals where the whole music academy comes together to share their accomplishments.

Bill is a great piano teacher! His piano lessons are fun. He has a positive attitude and loves to teach. I recommend him for both kids and adults.

My daughter has attended violin lessons for over a year and I love the no stress attitude of the teachers and staff! My daughter loves her teacher. Everyone here loves music and it is awesome to hear so much going on in the classrooms. The parent area is clean and bright. Overall really great experience for my child and others, judging by their big smiles when they finish with their lessons. So happy we found this place!.

My 9 year old son has been taking piano lessons here for over 4 years now. Mr.Bill is extremely knowledgeable, patient and makes learning piano fun. They put on a beautiful Christmas program at the end of the year to show case every students talent. My son looks forward to attending his class every Saturday. Great location, great teachers. I highly recommend Chula Vista Academy of Music to everyone.

My 7 year old son is a beginner and has been taking piano lessons with Michael once a week, for about a year now. He really enjoys going and looks forward to his weekly lessons. With consistency, we continue to see great improvement. Michael is a very gifted and talented musician and instructor. He is very patient, kind and supportive with my son. We have no plans on stopping and look forward to continuing lessons with Michael at the Chula Vista Academy of Music.
