    I visited this location January 26, 2023, and I had a very disappointing experience with employee Larry in the paint bay area. This employee didn't exercise the most basic customer service skills to acknowledge customers, even if you're helping other's, and inform the customer you'll be right with them. This employee didn't acknowledge my presence in the area at all. When I asked for a little professionalism and customer service he told me to be patient. I informed him that I was patient; however, how about a little professionalism in acknowledging a customer. He became argumentative as if we were on a school yard and he had to win. The CUSTOMER took the hire road and asked for the manager especially when he refused to give me his name. Come to find out he has a nickname on his apron in which I could not make out. I spoke to the manager Mike whom was not his direct supervisor;although, he said he would inform his supervisor of this occurrence. This employee needs a remedial lesson in the basic concepts of customer service. I'd like to highlight Paul in the paint bay, and cashier Francis. They both managed to pick up the ball where Larry dropped it. Thank you to both of them...

    The employees here on the floor seemed like you bothered them by asking questions, even making some sighing sounds or faces. The cashiers at customer service and in lines were very nice, total opposite of floor people. Prefer to go to the National City location over this one, I would drive there to NC to avoid this Chula Vista location even if it wasn't closer.

    This Home Depot has the worst customer service out of all the Home Depot‘s I’ve been to Elizabeth and Brenda were awful they couldn’t help give us directions to find what we’re looking for I would say go to any Home Depot but this Home Depot. Instead of trying to help me fix my sink that was unbroken they tried to sell me a completely brand new sink like how am I going to install that without having to pay somebody

    I needed four major appliances for my recently remodeled kitchen. I heard a big sale was coming up soon but I needed my appliances NOW! After installation of my appliances and the start of the big sale, I went back to Home Depot to get the difference of the sell price and what I had paid earlier. Home Depot happily refunded the difference which was $480. Thank You Home Depot.

    Ordered some vinyl flooring for pickup and received a phone call letting me know that the product was ready and would be refunded if it was not picked up within the 7 days. I made time, hired someone for the job, and went to pick up the item only to find out that the warehouse can not locate the item. They send me to a different location 5 miles away so I’m already losing time and now I’m wasting my gas and money. Got in contact with the store manager to file complaint only for him to tell me there’s nothing he can do besides talk to the associate that called me. What does that do for me? Like all retail stores I’m sure customer satisfaction is a priority and I came to the manager with a problem in hopes for a solution instead I received a manager who does not know what he can do for me. Perhaps he needs more training on how to keep a customer coming back to his store. I have been coming to this Home Depot for years but since they can’t help me I guess I should just take my business elsewhere.

    Nicer home depot than some of the surrounding ones Always have a rich plant selection that's been well taken care of Prices are consistent and plenty of parking Staff is nice and always willing to help

    725 Plaza Court Home Depot in Chula Vista rocks! I love how conveniently close this location is to my home. The entry and parking lot is wide open and available to no other retailers making it easy to come in and out. I have had several projects done at my home and will continue to back here for my home projects. The representatives are always helpful and the customer service is always on point. They have a variety of plant options that I get often. There's always at least two people working at the paint section, and the cashiers both at the exit for purchase and the customer service returns section are always available and willing to help. The other day I needed assistance with a return of an item and a purchase and I was assisted by Lyssette. Between her, her team members, and a manager I was assisted with great care and genuine smiles. I give this location two thumbs up and will continue to come her frequently. Thanks HD!

    Steve Flooring Department HD Chula Vista was very helpful, responsive to email and text, and provided excellent customer service. He recommended the best carpet for my rental property that was in stock. I was able to proceed with install right away and the installation team was very friendly and hard working. Steve was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. He made me feel welcome at the store and took the time to explain what was the best carpet option for a rental. Highly recommend this store !

    Large assortment of merchandise, difficult to find help, mainly knowledgeable staff willing to assist you if don't have the tech knowledge of a contractor. It used to be very different in the past.

    I generally like Home Depot. They have what I need in stock and their stores are conveniently located. I'm a cash customer and I find myself waiting in line at checkout longer than it takes me to find what I came for. Using a card always makes me feel like I'm buying the part twice. Once at the store and again when I pay the card. Cash is no longer king. It's treated as inconvenient. If I use their credit card. I would get my items at a discounted price. Seams backwards. Now the whole store feels over priced. "You asked for my opinion".🤔

    Home Depot has made great strides in their treatment of women customers; unfortunately there still exist a few dinosaurs. I went to the H street Home Depot for a window shade in a color not available at the Home Depot on Denery Rd. I was directed to the correct aisle and went there. The Hime Depot employee was there assisting a customer. I stood a small distance from Cody and the customer and waited politely for him to complete what he was doing. He looked at me and said surly,”Do you have a question?” I explained that I needed a window blind cut. He told me to go to the desk and ask for another employee. I continued to stand there and look at the blinds available to see if they had the color and size I needed. Cody looked at me and said he was just going to finish up with the customer he was assisting and then he was going on his break. He told me for the third time to go to another employee at the desk. I said , “Excuse me for obscuring your view and turned to go and find the employee at the desk; whereupon Cody said something to the customer and they both laughed. I was so hurt and humiliated. I found the employee at the desk who was assisting another customer. He also had one other customer waiting to be helped, but promptly turned to assist me. Steve was polite, he invited me to sit down while he helped the customers that were ahead of me. Steve helped me and made me feel like I had value. It was obvious that Cody did not respect me. When Steve went to the window coverings aisle, Cody was still there assisting other male customers. He obviously did not go on break. I am 72 years old. I am quiet and polite. I did not deserve the treatment I received from Cody.

    I would like to express my gratitude to Paul from the painting dep, his supervisor Steve and Mike, the assistent manager for the great 👍 service provided to me this morning...exelent costumer service, the best atitude I've ever encountered in any Home Depot , knowledgeable and attentive people, that's where I'll do my shopping for all my needs from now on.     Being in the trade I've been to Home Depots in LA, Riverside, OC and San Diego county this is the ONLY Home Depot I have been ask to see my recipe at random on 2 occasion already due to a dirty appearance and no they don't ask everyone to see there recipe while existing. This has NEVER HAPPENED at ANY other location. Profiling at it's finest.

    Bought a washer here. Delivery was yesterday, but after the techs hooked it up, they found it was defective. They had my old washer on the truck to haul away and instead of bringing it back off the truck and hooking it back up, THEY DROVE AWAY WITH IT. Called the number on my receipt last night and was assured that a replacement delivery would only take a few days, but to call again this morning to expedite the process. Just got off the phone with both Home Depot and Samsung: Replacement washer isn't coming until Saturday and my old - still functioning! - washer has been destroyed. I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH LOWES. Why wouldn't you let someone have their old appliance back if the new one was defective? Why would you just drive off?? HORRIBLE experience!

    This store has everything you need to perform Home improvement projects. It would have been 5 stars but but since you cannot use your military ID anymore for the discount I only gave it 4 stars. When I went to the app to apply for the military discount count Kala the company didn't need any verification that I was a veteran. At least in the store if I wanted the discount, I had to at least show an ID.

    This review is for my home depot visit today at this specific location. It seems that the staff here is friendlier and more helpful than in the store I visited yesterday. Got in and out fast and was not overcharged.

    I was there on a Monday around 1:30 pm and there were no carts at entrance! I asked at customer service where the carts were, and was told, just outside the door. I said, no, there weren't. He then called for someone to "round them up from the parking lot". I found a deserted one around the corner. The gentleman in the paint department was very polite and helpful! Also very patient, as I had a lot of questions! Got ready to checkout, and only self checkout was available. There were 3 employees available to assist with that! I asked where regular checkout was, as I don't use self checkouts. He informed me there was one at the lumber exit and one in garden. I used the garden register, as the other one was really backed up. Maybe management could open one or two registers with some of the self register "helpers"! Last but not least, it was hotter than 40 hells in the store! I mentioned how cool it was at the garden register compared to the store and the cashier said the A/C in the store has been out for awhile! Poor employees! I will not be returning to this Home Depot after this truly disappointing visit. The Imperial Avenue store has my business going forward!

    Great Home Depot off of E H Street. I typically get our fridge water filter there. It lasts for 1 year with each install. Enjoy shopping here for my property management needs. I give this Home Depot a 4 Star Review.

    They got to stop cheating and forcing people to use the self checkout. And there a ton of workers doing nothing besides a couple a few good actually being overwhelmed. Poor management the guy hardly ever comes out.

    Larry the guy at the paint department has a chip on his shoulder and needs to brush up on his customer service skills. HD gets busy sometimes, the job ain't it easy, customers can be difficult, 100% understood. This is all the more reason to appreciate customers that aren't being difficult with you Larry.
