Rambler Coffee

Cafe Coffee shop

👍👍 This place is fun with a decent amount of seating - both high and low tables inside and out. They have some things like fruit bowls, avocado toast before 11am, and other non-vegan items. The iced americano was good. Arcade games and an outlet at each of the tall indoor tables. Wifi is solid. People often mention coffee, good, games, nice, Coffee, area, service,

The coffee was not great tbh. But the place has beautiful interiors. Great design.. Also they have arcade games to play and a Foosball table. Expect a high wait time if you order a sandwich but I dont blame them since both the times we went, there was just one person working. And it is not open 24hours.

This is a cute spot, with fun arcade games, nice selection of breads and friendly staff. However, my wife and I ordered two coffees straight off the menu (no alterations) and a simple egg sandwich with ham. There were two people working on a Sunday morning. The coffee literally took 30 minutes to be ready. The sandwich took 40 minutes and it was wrong. I ordered it on sourdough and I got it on croissant. The ham was layered on so it tasted like a thick ham sandwich with egg, rather than egg sandwich with ham. I don't think I would have as much of a problem if the girl taking our order warned us "We're short handed so orders are taking a bit longer than usual." And we'd know what to expect. There wasn't any apology for waiting 40 minutes, which is way too long for a coffee shop.

Drinks were horrible -- we got a smoothie (which they told us would be strawberry banana but turned out to be mixed berry) which was extremely grainy and not sweetened, and a chai that was too sweet to drink. We left both drinks pretty much untouched. Food (avocado toast and chicken tenders) then took more than 30 min to get to us, even though no one else was dining there when we were there around 11:30am. When the chicken tender finally came out, they were still frozen inside. In the end, we were offered a refund for the chicken tenders.

I needed a quick coffee and saw this adorable coffee shop online and had to drop in. You’ll feel like you’re walking through a portal from how nice it looks on the inside. The area that Rambler Coffee is in doesn’t do it any justice. I’m the coffee was great and I was very pleased to sit in and enjoy the ambience for a little while!

Very cool little hidden gem. Coffee and food were good and at a great price. Only negative thing is the lack of outlets for those of us that like working from coffee shops.

Service here is slow. Coffee is poor quality. They really don't know how to steam a good latte. Big ugly bubbles. The food takes forever to be brought out, not best quality either. And the workers are hardly welcoming. Some just stare at you till you start talking to order... The housekeeping and office workers just cut the line to get their orders in while other real customers are waiting to be served. If it wasn't for the "cute" decor, this place would definitely get no business. Tables were dirty too, crumbs everywhere. Had to skip 5 tables before finding a somewhat clean table to sit at. Terrible management. Not surprised the coffee shop is so gross when the reviews of the hotel constantly mention bedbugs. Very gross. Not worth coming to

I was exploring the area with my wife after visiting the marina and came across Rambler Coffee. The colors and style of the Rambler Motel caught our attention and when my wife saw they had a coffee shop, she was very intrigued so we headed over. Once inside, the place seemed very clean. The young woman behind the counter was very nice and made our drinks well. Other than coffee, there’s a fridge area with a good selection of snacks. Also, a freezer with American and Mexican ice cream favorites. There’s a little arcade area of retro games and an amazing wall art of a license plate. The place looks well maintained inside and out. There’s a pool outside but I didn’t take pictures because people were swimming and didn’t want to enter creeper status. We would definitely come back for coffee if in the area again.

It was a really nice experience. I came to do some work in a aesthetically pleasing environment and I was not disappointed. Everything was good, from my coffee to the avocado toast. 🥑 Definitely recommend.

Coffee was decent and place is super cute with lots of indoor and outdoor seating options. However- prices are crazy, $4.75 for an americano is just too much and they wanted to charge an additional $1 for a splash of oat milk. Unfortunately there are no vegetarian options for lunch, so was going to do an apple danish but it was $6 for a small sized danish- so I didn’t bother. Probably won’t be back, not worth the prices.

Great cafe spot in a hotel. Went in on a Monday early afternoon not busy. Drinks & sandwiches are good. Nice atmosphere & classic rock playing.

The Cafe is nice near a park and close to a hotel. The girl at counter is nice and does her best to provide good service. It seems like management does not meet the needs of the demand. There was only two people working and orders as simple as an Americano took too long. Get the ladies some help!

I would definitely recommend the coffee, but I won’t be ordering any sandwiches from here in the future. Even if they had gotten my order right, I just don’t think the quality matches the $10 price. Good ambiance and service though! I asked them for a refund and they processed it without any complaints or bad vibes. I’ll definitely be back for the coffee

I’ll definitely come back here. We happened upon it by chance heading back up to LA, and let me say, the location is amazing. It is so peaceful there and it has a great view of the ocean and nature while you enjoy your coffee. It was easy to get there to and from the freeway, so bonus points for that. The inside was absolutely adorable. I loved the way it looked and I definitely wanted to play the arcade games and I would have if I had more time. The whole mid century vibe works so well, especially attached to the motel. I’m especially in love with the bright colors. The coffee was great! It wasn’t the best I’ve had, but it’s leagues better than most coffees in the area unless you head all the way down to San Diego, which is definitely not convenient for when you’re on the go. The peppermint mocha I got wasn’t super sweet, and the peppermint wasn’t overwhelming. We asked for the other coffee extra hot and to my surprise they did make it extra hot. Lastly, the service was amazing. I tried to tip the barista but because she was a manager she couldn’t accept it. Either way. She was friendly and very helpful. What a wonderful coffee shop! I only wish I lived closer.

A nice diner spot for an early coffee and something light to eat. The decor of the place is cool along with the old school arcade games. Parking was good. Staffing was short (1 woman wrecking crew) when I came so it took a little time to get our coffee and food. My chai tea and avocado toast were worth the wait.

It’s really cute and clean on the inside but both times I’ve gone the service is horrible it seems like there’s only one person working the entire cafe. Food was okay nothing too exciting and they forgot to cut my sub in half

Clean and not crowded. Prices for food not listed on menu board. Coffee good. Food was slow in coming but still good tasting. Ladies there very friendly and helpful.

Stopped by for a quick mid day coffee. Took some time for someone to come out and take my order. Mocha coffee had zero mocha flavor … when the barista was making my drink it appeared he ran out of mocha and just continued to make it without replenishing the flavor.

The best café south of the 54 freeway. They have craft ice teas, and they are perfect for people who like unsweetened iced tea. The food is pleasantly simple. I would recommend getting the sandwiches. Memorable customer service and Vietnamese coffee.

I’ve been here a couple of times now, I love the customer service. I believe the people that have attended me have been the same individuals Daniela, Eric, and Beto. They’re all very sweet and also recommend me their favorite drinks. I love how they have games to play, you don’t see this often anymore. :-( Would highly recommend

The coffee was delicious!!! One of the better places I've found in San Diego. Definitely one of the best priced shops.
