This is not the first time I have been to Jalisco’s, but this is the first time I am reviewing it because of how much improved it is, compared to a few years back when it was at a different location. The new location is much more vibrant, spacious, and the menu has been upgraded as well. All of the choices that my family and I choice made were delicious, weather it was the Menudo (not pictured), a torta, bean and cheese burritos, or chicken Enchiladas, everything was delicious. The chips and salsa were also a good snack before our meal. The interior of the restaurant is vibrant, colorful, and has plenty of seating. Our server was friendly and helpful as well. If you are looking for alternate spot to have breakfast or lunch without a long wait, come and eat at Jalisco in Bonita. Eat up!!!

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!! Don’t waste your money! I ordered from them through DoorDash for dinner tonight and spent $60 for 2 carnitas plates and 1 combo plate. Carnitas we’re all dried up and gross, they forgot the tortillas and had tiny servings. The beans, salsa and guacamole didn’t have any salt or seasoning at all. I used to go here with my family all the time but I won’t anymore. So bad!

Best Mole enchiladas around the area. Have been looking to find good ones and so happy we finally did. Service is great and cozy Mexican vibes inside.

We ordered red chillaquillas, which they used red enchilada sauce instead of the traditional red tomato salsa (flavor was bad). The other order was a green chile omelet that was lacking green sauce on top of the omelet, so I ordered a side of green sauce that was just okay. This was our first time here since we came with friends who dine here often. Not our favorite, so we will be dining elsewhere.

Surprisingly quiet resturant on a Friday evening. Good mexican food with authentic specials. Good portions. Lively decor. Comfortable sit down restaurant for meeting friends.

Ever since they moved I like it even more. Bright, colorful and I feel like Im at my tias house ha ha. The ladies that work there treat you like you just arrived to their house, not to their job. The food is always great. Cafe the olla yummy 👌

Began eating at Jalisco's in Imperial Beach in 1972 when I owned the Liquor store on Palm n 16th, but Bonita has the same recipes in is usually more convenient. Highly recommend our favorites, the beef and bean burrito and the Chiles Rellenos. Their beans n rice are way above average too. Never had a bad meal at either location.

We tried Jalisco Cafe at their new location in Bonita for breakfast recently. I ordered an Omelet and my wife Huevos Rancheros + Coffee. The food was very tasty, prices were reasonable and service was excellent. We will be back when in the area.

Stopped in 45 minutes before closing and was the only patron in the place. The server was very personable and efficient. I ordered a combo plate with a taco, chili relleno and cheese enchilada. The crispy taco was very good. It was just like my old neighbor used to make. The chili relleno was also very good. The cheese enchilada was forgettable and not worth it. Overall everything else was great.

Had the machaca plate, food tasted good, portions seemed a bit small. Service was good, waitress was very nice and kept checking on us for coffee and making sure everything was good. The location is next door to where it used to be. Jalisco Cafe has been around for a long time and worth checking out.

My brother took me here for chili con carne. I haven't had that plate in many years and it didn't disappoint. Usually when in San Diego I get my fill of carne asada burritos. So glad we had lunch here.

I've seen recently this young girl black straight hair, came in with a younger girl, fixing her make up, not friendly at all, no customer service whatsoever she is so unprofessional, A week or two ago, she was our server, i saw that after wiping her nose she went ahead and assisted a table. She's not sanitized at all and seems as of she dont care giving a good service. I didn't wanted to give her any tip but all the other ladies are so nice. But this one, She walks as of she's not feeling like working. I don't want her to serve me at all. Her atmosphere is not good. Hope they consider modifications.

The entrance door has to be fixed because when it opens and swings close it swings through. It hit me in my lower back where I previously had surgery. There is a warning sign on the door. Once we were seated, we were brought chips and salsa. The chips are thin and break when dipping into the salsa. The salsa was not very good. My wife ordered menudo and it was pretty good. I ordered machaca and it was not that great. All in all I give Jalisco's a grade of C+.

We had the worst rolled tacos, chili relano, enchilada and carnita burrito. The rolled tacos had no crunch thet were white from the soggy. The burrito had nothing but over cooked pork an a glob of brownish guacamole. The chili relano was missing cheese and as soggy as the tacos. It was so bad we did not eat it. Their food use to be amazing now it is inedible.

Had an amazing group lunch of 14 today. Called ahead, table was ready, plenty of room, hostesses were patient, and efficient, food was delicious, everyone was served at the same time, individual checks… overall a wonderful, memorable, and positive experience. Couldn’t have been a better day. A sincere THANK YOU to Jaliscos and staff!!!

Friendly and fast place. We, my family, all liked everything we ordered. From chilaquiles to Albondigas, to menudo. We finished everything. Is like a fiesta in here! Only 4 stars because my carne asada had lots of nerve.

Wow, what a disappointment. I went to another place w same name in IB that was excellent but this place was not good. 1. It was really cold inside, why not warm the place up to make it comfortable. 2. My omelette w pork tips in green salsa was just terrible. 3. Their salsa served w chips was bland & flavorless, not spicey at all. 4. Soup portions were very small, cereal bowl size. 5. At 9AM on a Sunday they were out of meatball soup. I would not recommend this place & I will not return.

My favorite place turned in to my worst nightmare. I order Caldo de Res. I started earthing my Caldo but it had a weird taste. I asked for extra limon still wired tasted. Asked for Mexican rice to give the Caldo a better flavor When the waitress brought me the rice I notice my Caldo already had rice in it. So I said I didn’t know it has rice in it already She said it doesn’t. I said yes look. I looked close and is was not rice . It was maggots 🤮. She apologized and felt so bad for me. She looked at the plate and felt so embarrass remove the plate. I understand is not her fault. But when She took my plate she put it in the trash instead of showing the cook Looks to me like they knew the Caldo was bad. She comes back and said. Do you any anything else. What 😮. I said he’ll no. Let me pay for my soda so I can go home. I cried so much cus this was so nasty. Is so Sad cus me mentioning my experience to my coworkers the next day. they told me GIRLlll. is the nasties restaurant. Cus It happen to one of my co workers with her bleached tasting menudo a week before. Never again. Jaliscos. Lost a 3 years costumer only the Cook knows what the hell he is feeding the costumers 🤮🥲 I gave this restauran a -100 stars I will continue sharing my story until the owner fixes his refrigerator and invest on good one

I ordered Chorizo w/flour tortillas and when I bit into the tortillas it immediately tasted like cleaning solution! I smelled the tortilla and it smelt like Fabuloso!!! They comped my unfinished meal but won’t be going back!

Yes still 5 star food and service, but unfortunately not the place to eat with weather like this because if they have air conditioning, they don't use it and if they don't it's way too hot in there to enjoy a warm breakfast with coffee. I did leave bummed out I paid $4 for coffee I could not drink because of how uncomfortable it was inside. I'll def go back, but not til it's back in the low 70's.

Wanted to try them since their move, as I've been coming to this place since I was a child. Food was edible according to most, besides my boss, who really struggled with his steak torta that for some reason came with butter and melted American cheese? Wouldn't order the chilaquiles again, but I've had their tacos and Chile rellenos before and was happy with them at the prior location. Anyway, we referenced their menu online when ordering. The warning that online ordering is not enabled is very faint, so didn't notice until the end. Regardless, this is their official offering of a menu on Jaliscocafeca.com that links from their Google business page, and the prices are not up to date. The actual bill when they rang me up was a full 50% higher! The lady didn't seem to care, and assuming she's a regular employee, I don't blame her... as she probably deals with a litany of such complaints all the time. I didn't want to make the business' problem her problem, as she seemed very busy, but given how outrageous the situation was, I was definitely tempted. At that point I just wanted my food and to get out of there. That's just plain false advertising though, and they need to either update the prices or remove them from their website entirely. No wonder there was no mention of the total when I placed the order over the phone. What a ripoff. Extra star for the nostalgia, but it seems like their kitchen, their website... Basically everything needs help.

The food was awesome. I love their coffee. I hope to go back again. My breakfast was delicious but it was very cold inside the building

Yesterday was our second time eating at this restaurant. The first time the food and service were excellent. But yesterday the food was not good at all. The chips were stale, the fish taco that I ordered were wrapped in foil, they were warm, but when I bit into the fish, it was cold. The rice was also not warm. My husband taco was bad too. Over all, it was a very disappointed meal. We will not come back, that's for sure.
