Used to be the Best, just about 30 minutes ago I bought the 5 rolled taco special with lettuce and got these rolled tacos that are stuck together and look like they been sitting there for a while, the guac is turning black and brown already. Very disappointed, grew up in the river bottom eating here all the time and now the food is no good.

I’ve been coming here for 40 years! I can really only attest to their “special 5 roll tacos with guacamole, sour cream, cheese.” It’s the only thing I order and they are definitely my go-to rolled tacos in Chula Vista. They still taste the same after all these years, even the salsa (one per rolled taco is a must). You have to eat them immediately; the guacamole will go brown within the hour. I never carry cash, but I have a hidden stash of cash in my car whenever I’m in the mood for LT’s.

I've been coming here for 25 years! Hands down these are the best rolled tacos in southern cali! The salsa is so good and the rolled tacos are perfect and crunchy andnthe guac and cheese ratio is perfection. I love their entire menu and the shop just brings me so much joy and nostalgia of me sitting in the backseat white my parents would order for me when i was 5yrs old. My favorite taco shop ever!

I read reviews about carne asada fries being good, and I was disappointed. They’re served in a plate and covered with foil paper, unlike other places where they’re in a box. I ordered 5 roll tacos and the fries and it was about $20. Be prepared with cash, but they do have ATM machine.

1 star because the food is great .. when done correctly. This place is fine if the main guy is there to take the order, an older man with a mustache. If anyone else is there taking orders, it is 100% guaranteed they are gna mess up your order. This is the third straight time it has happened, and the worst part is that the Mrs. was the one craving it, so you all know it was a fit when the order wasn't what she wanted. Not coming here anymore, the incompetence is too much.

I have eaten many different items from their menu and every one has been great. But I often get a cheeseburger. I know, "but they're a taco shop!" There's just something about a good no fuss cheeseburger that makes me 😊. You will too if you get it from Los Taquitos. Edit 11/26/22: Had the Grand Plate of 3 rolled tacos smothered in salsa ranchero with rice and beans. If I were on that Food Network show Best Thing I Ever Ate for a combination plate edition this would be it. They cook the rolled tacos a little bit longer to keep them from getting soggy under all that salsa. It is for this reason that if you have sensitive teeth this probably isn't the dish for you. But if you can eat it, please do. You stomach will thank you.

I usually go for the 3 rolled tacos plate, it just has guaca, sour cream and cheddar cheese. Good though!! I like the carne asada torta, it has beans in it already so that's a plus!! This last time I visited though, the guac was on the brown side and the lettuce wasn't fresh. Uhhh ohh.

We were in town from Arizona for the day & were looking for a new taco place to try out. We spotted this place but once there realized they only take cash. They do provide an ATM machine right outside but it wouldn't take my card. So unfortunately didn't get to try their food

Highly don’t recommend, customer service is wack. The lady cashier and the guy talk way too much instead of updating and acknowledging their customers. 1 Burrito and 1 taco took 30 mins. The burrito had nothing but meat inside

    * cash only * But has and ATM outside. Had the rolled tacos. These had more beef than other places, but did not have the lettuce and tomato I'm used to. Still good for the price of $10.50 for the 5 rolled tacos and can of cola. * cash only *

The best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Every time my husband and I are in San Diego we go to Los Taquitos almost every day. Wish they would open one on the east coast and show them what real Mexican food is.

The 5 rolled tacos special is legendary! The recipe and flavor hasn't changed since I first had them in 1986! Absolutely delicious! Anything at Los Taquitos is delicious but the rolled tacos are my thing here, they do them right! Go now!

Their food is so good but the portions are so small it's a big tortilla with a burrito and almost nothing inside too bad not going back again and very expensive

Good food, but it's expensive, and cash only... WTH... Really??!! Cash only??!! They have an ATM outside, that charges you 2.50 to get cash... 🤦🏻 But, the guac is great, they're rolled tacos are good and crunchy. The crunchy beef tacos are ok.

Carne Asada Fries had no flavor. Very bland. The Fish and Asada Taco tasted like disinfect cleaner. We had to throw both out!

I ordered Carne Asada fries (14.99 plus tax) 16oz drink (2.99) and a flour tortilla (1.39).I give this a 1 star because the price is not equal to the quality and quantity of food. They use the cheapest quality of fries and they don't even add the salt, they give you packs of salt .The 16oz . is crazy for 2.99 no not a 32oz.If you want a soda can it cost 1.99.The flour tortilla was cooked good ,it was burrito size. The picture only shows my left over, just wanted to show the fries that are under cooked and low quality. Also they don't do a equal portion of meat, order this if you like potatoes, they are not a good taco shop to eat at.

Food is one of a kind, very good freshly made, and delicious. People are nice and the restroom is clean. It is pretty pricey but definitely worth it.

I go here about once a week, for one thing only breakfast burrito, they are the bomb best breakfast burrito hands down. It is made with bacon , potatoes, cheese. I add sour cream and ketchup the best.

Came here last Saturday to buy lunch for my family. I haven't been here in 8 years but I remember this was the best Mexican restaurant in chula vista in my opinion. Ordered a cabeza burrito, with cheese, carnitas burrito with beans, and Pico de gallo. Ordered chicken quessadilla, and a regular quesadilla. The chicken quesadilla didn't have chicken, instead it had ham with beans. The carnitas burrito had spoiled guacamole. I don't know if ownership changed recently but it's not what it used to be.

False advertisement .99 Taco they are $2.50 supposedly only on Tuesday now! Every time I come in the shop there a different price. Big shoot gun about a month ago inside the restaurant, there was about 20 police man. Claim some one came into restaurant with a gun! Look it up at the police department!

If you have a motorcycle, don’t come here or else they’ll make you get off and order in the front, because their drive-thru sensor don’t read motorcycles. The big middle age guy with mustache is the one that refused service in the drive-thru.

Just you're typical mexican tacoshop, but I've been going here for 20+ years and it's still my favorite spot in south Chula. It was nice to see some renovation to the seating outside. They're 100% consistent, as in the food always has the same good flavor. No good days or bad days. Service does depend on how busy they are and who is at the window. If they're busy you'll feel rushed, but that's the price you pay for good food served up quickly when theres 8 cars lined up and 3 people at the window. Happy to see they're still around, still doing the same thing, and keeping a good shop open in Chula when so many have been closing down lately. Try the rolled tacos, the super quesadilla or one of their burritos, you'll be hard pressed to find something wrong with it. If your looking for "healthy" look elsewhere, your at the wrong spot. Then again, I dont know any one who goes to a taco shop looking for low cal, gluten free, etc. You can find a boring burrito at chipotle.

I've said it before and I'll say it again im trying to find a good taco shop in South Bay San Diego and keep coming up short. Los Taquitos is a quick fix for your taco shop craving with affordable prices BUT bring cash or be ready to use the little ATM outside the shop. Decent food good prices and let them know i sent you.

Service was quick. They only accept cash at the time that I purchased. It's not my normal taco shop but it satisfied my rolled taco craving.

One of the best taco shops in Chula Vista. CASH ONLY but the adovada here is great, also the rolled tacos are extra crunchy and the carne asada is good. You have to ask for green salsa if u don't you will only get red salsa.

First, the Los Taquitos Taco Shop is across the street from my house and that's way to convinient for Mexican food. I think their rolled tacos are the best thing on the menu. You need to decide for yourself and visit Los Taquitos Taco Shop

Good stuff. Dont have to ask twice for them to put salsa, napkins, lemon, and carrots and chiles in your bag.

LTs is the go to for the best bean and cheese! Their salsa is the perfect match for anything ordered, including a plain cheese burger! Yes, they have really good burgers and fries! I would visit more often if it wasn't cash only.
